Nationals | Tyler Moore starting at first base

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 14:05:02 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore is playing first base and batting eighth against Atlanta Braves SP Manny Banuelos Thursday, July 2. 1B Clint Robinson has started the past two games at first base, but he is not in the starting lineup Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has an underwhelming .646 OPS this season, and it is even worse (.484) against lefties. FantasyScore players will want to aim higher than Moore Thursday.

Nationals | Tyler Moore starting vs. Pittsburgh

Fri, 19 Jun 2015 12:38:20 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore is batting seventh and playing first base against Pittsburgh Pirates SP A.J. Burnett Friday, June 19.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has a little power upside, but his .177 batting average and .591 OPS don't inspire much confidence, especially against a stingy opposing hurler. Moore is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief for FantasyScore contests Friday, and you should likely aim higher.

Nationals | Ryan Zimmerman resting

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 09:10:33 -0700

Washington Nationals 1B Ryan Zimmerman is resting Wednesday, June 10, in favor of 1B Tyler Moore.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) isn't a good matchup play on FantasyScore against Nate Eovaldi since he's hitting just .179.

Nationals | Ryan Zimmerman on the bench

Sun, 07 Jun 2015 10:28:00 -0700

Washington Nationals 1B Ryan Zimmerman is not in the starting lineup Sunday, June 7. OF Tyler Moore will be the starting first baseman and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Zimmerman ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) probably is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup in a day or two. Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has recorded only two hits in his last nine games and probably should be avoided by owners on FantasyScore.

Nationals | Tyler Moore receives start

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 12:47:50 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore will be the starting left fielder Wednesday, June 3.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) recorded a hit in both games of a doubleheader Tuesday, June 2, but is still hitting only .211 on the season. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.

Nationals | Ryan Zimmerman resting in second game

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 13:56:28 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of the doubleheader Tuesday, June 2. OF Tyler Moore is starting at first base and hitting cleanup against Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) also started in Game 1 and was 1-for-4. He's hitting just .204 on the season and shouldn't be trusted at FantasyScore. A matchup against Estrada is nice because of the pitcher's penchant for allowing homers in a starting roll, but Moore still is a dice roll, at best.

Nationals | Tyler Moore hitting sixth

Mon, 01 Jun 2015 12:48:32 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore is playing left field and batting sixth against the Toronto Blue Jays Monday, June 1.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has been used sparingly by the Nationals this season, and he has just a single multi-hit game this season. FantasyScore players will want to aim higher. Denard Span (knee) is out of the lineup Monday, and if he misses any period of time with the injury, Moore would add fleeting NL-only value. However, seasonal owners would be wise to take a wait-and-see approach.

Nationals | Tyler Moore starting in left field

Wed, 27 May 2015 14:16:40 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore is starting in left field and batting eighth against the Chicago Cubs Wednesday, May 27.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has a .655 OPS through 328 plate appearances over the past three seasons, and he should be considered nothing more than a low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests Wednesday.

Nationals | Michael Taylor out of lineup Tuesday

Tue, 26 May 2015 12:32:07 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is not starting Tuesday, May 26, against the Chicago Cubs. OF Tyler Moore is in left and batting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) has a normal off night scheduled, or so it appears, so simply take him out of play for tonight. Moore ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has a .200 average in limited play last week, but that includes a home run so he may be worth the low cost.

Nationals | Michael Taylor not in lineup Wednesday

Wed, 20 May 2015 12:32:44 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is out of the starting lineup Wednesday, May 20, against the New York Yankees. 1B Tyler Moore is starting in left field and batting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: It appears to be a normal night off for Taylor ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) so remove him from yours for the evening. Moore ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has a .273-1-5 line in his last seven days, so he may make an interesting choice at this low cost. Both outfielders could see time periodically in the next several days with Jayson Werth out.
