Detroit Tigers RP Brayan Villarreal (elbow) is being shut down for the rest of the winter after his second bout with elbow soreness since last summer. Villarreal threw three scoreless innings in the Venezuelan Winter League before complaining of elbow soreness. Tests showed inflammation but no structural damage, and he was shut down for the remainder of the winter.
