Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited during the team's offseason workouts while he recovers from offseason foot surgery. "Julio is participating with our athletic performance department," head coach Mike Smith said. "He will be able to get out on the field and do some walk-through stuff with us when we start going. Our focus on Julio is one thing, and that's having him prepared for our opener. ... He's progressing well. We're not going to do anything to hinder his timeframe in terms of getting back to work with us."
Fantasy Tip: The team previously said Jones was ahead of schedule in his rehab. This is probably just a case of the Falcons being ultra-cautious with their top offensive weapon. Assming Jones is fully healthy this year and his foot doesn't slow him down, he should return to being a WR1 for fantasy players.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) will undergo surgery on his foot next week after Dr. Robert Anderson diagnosed him with a fractured foot. Jones will miss the rest of the season.
Fantasy Tip: You can now safely drop Jones everywhere. The fractured foot that involved a broken screw from a previous injury could be an issue for him for the rest of his career. For now, Harry Douglas will move to a prominent role in the passing game alongside Tony Gonzalez with Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) hobbled.

The Atlanta Falcons fear WR Julio Jones (foot) will miss the rest of the year with a foot issue. Jones will have more tests Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Fantasy Tip: Obviously this is a huge blow for fantasy owners if Jones is out for the year. This should mean an increased workload for Harry Douglas and Roddy White moving forward. This is also bad news for Matt Ryan as he may see his production dip moving forward. Tony Gonzalez could see even more double coverages than he is currently getting as a result of this news.

But it was just like a little stinger," Jones said. "It was nothing drastic. It was nothing serious. I went back out there and I finished the game." His knee injury is unrelated to the injury he suffered Sunday night.
Fantasy Tip: Jones returned in the game last Sunday to make some big catches in the team's loss, so his injury isn't serious at all. He should be fully expected to play again in Week 5. Keep him in your starting lineups.

Fri, 20 Sep 2013 18:53:36 -0700
Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez is looking forward to facing the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. The Dolphins have shown a penchant for double teaming the opposition's top wide receiver, which could create more chances for Gonzalez. "They doubled up (Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald) a lot, and you would probably think they'd do the same thing against (Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones), which is going to create one-on-one matchups with other guys," Gonzalez said.
Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have had difficulty containing the opposition's tight end, and Gonzalez might be a Top 5 option at his position given the struggles in coverage and potential double teams to give Gonzalez a chance to work one-on-one.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) was officially listed as questionable for the Week 2 game against the St. Louis Rams, but he certainly looked healthy. He exploded for 11 receptions, 182 yards and an 81-yard touchdown.

Sun, 15 Sep 2013 06:23:38 -0700
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (knee) will play in the team's Week 2 game.

Fri, 13 Sep 2013 13:55:18 -0700
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (knee) is fully expected to play in Week 2 against the St. Louis Rams.

Check back Sunday morning to see if he is active. If he does play, he is a must start in all formats, especially with Roddy White dealing with his own injury issues.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (undisclosed) was limited in practice Monday, Aug. 5. Head coach Mike Smith said Jones being limited was mostly precautionary and that the team was watching Jones workload closely.
Fantasy Tip: It does not appear like there is much to see here and this is just the team being overly cautious with their star wide receiver.

Wed, 17 Jul 2013 11:35:55 -0700
Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez said he believes the team can have a perfect offense after adding RB Steven Jackson this offseason. "Obviously, we're led by [QB Matt Ryan]," Gonzalez said. "With him pulling the trigger, with [WR Roddy White], [WR Julio Jones], myself, we're going to try and soften up that defense a lot where they got to stand back and play off us a little bit.
