Padres | Andrew Cashner to DL

Sat, 17 May 2014 13:10:09 -0700

San Diego Padres SP Andrew Cashner (elbow) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow soreness.

Fantasy Tip: Cashner has been good this season, despite low run support, with a 2.35 ERA and 47 K's in 57 1/3 innings. Juan Pablo Oramas or Keyvius Sampson could be options to replace Cashner at Triple-A El Paso. Neither has much value outside of NL-only leagues, but they have potential with K/9s close to 9.00 on the season.
