Saints | DeMarco Murray says no to NO

Wed, 13 Jun 2018 10:10:21 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) declined an invitation to work out for the New Orleans Saints, according to a source. Murray preferred not to work out with a large group of running backs.

Fantasy Tip: Murray would have been an ideal Mark Ingram replacement for the first four games of the year, but it's sensible that a running back of Murray's caliber would want a private, individual workout. There are few situations left, if any, in which Murray can be a lead running back. Obviously he can be avoided until he signs somewhere.

Dolphins | DeMarco Murray leaves without deal

Mon, 19 Mar 2018 14:06:55 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) left his visit with the Miami Dolphins without an agreement Monday, March 19.

Fantasy Tip: That doesn't mean an agreement can't eventually get done, but Murray can visit other teams. He's one of the bigger names still on the free-agent market but will assuredly be part of a committee once he finds a new team. Approach him as an RB3 or flex with more upside in PPR scenarios.

Dolphins | DeMarco Murray to visit Miami

Sat, 17 Mar 2018 15:26:53 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) will visit with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, March 18.

Fantasy Tip: Murray could be a big-time fantasy producer if he finds the right situation. Without any proven backs in South Florida, Miami could be the perfect landing spot since he can run, catch out of the backfield and block at a high level.

Dolphins | Miami interested in DeMarco Murray

Sat, 17 Mar 2018 09:23:19 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) has received some interest from the Miami Dolphins, but it is not known if a visit has been scheduled, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have Kenyan Drake as their No. 1 running back, but Murray could be more traditional running back for the Dolphins. He probably would see limited playing time if he joins Miami but could be a No. 3 running back or flex option in standard leagues.

Seahawks | DeMarco Murray visiting Seattle

Wed, 14 Mar 2018 09:15:08 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) is visiting the Seattle Seahawks Wednesday, March 14.

Fantasy Tip: Murray would thrive in a situation like this where he'll be a volume rusher, but his lack of receiving prowess hurts him. He's an RB2 candidate.

Lions | DeMarco Murray visiting Detroit

Sun, 11 Mar 2018 20:39:06 -0700

Free-agent RB DeMarco Murray (Titans) is scheduled to visit with the Detroit Lions Monday, March 12, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Murray's days as a lead back are probably numbered, but Detroit would be a decent landing spot for his value. The Lions have been searching for a productive back, and Murray could carve out a steady roll and become a RB3.

Titans | DeMarco Murray released

Thu, 08 Mar 2018 14:11:14 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray was released Thursday, March 8.

Fantasy Tip: Murray recorded 659 yards and six touchdowns this season, so he should be able to find another team to join this offseason. He probably will be part of a running back committee for a team and could be a No. 3 running back in standard leagues depending on his role. Derrick Henry should receive the majority of the work for the Titans and can be a No. 2 fantasy running back.

Lions | DeMarco Murray an option for DET?

Thu, 15 Feb 2018 15:42:52 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray could be an option for the Detroit Lions if the Titans release him this offseason, in the opinion of The Detroit News' Justin Rogers.

Fantasy Tip: The Lions will be looking to add at least one running back this offseason, and Murray likely will be released this offseason. Murray likely will be part of a committee no matter where he plays in 2018 and probably will be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy running back.

Titans | DeMarco Murray remains confident

Mon, 15 Jan 2018 21:34:51 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray said he believes he is "definitely" still a top-end feature back. "I am very confident in myself and I am excited," he said. "I am excited about the future, and my future. I know what kind of player I am." He added that he "probably" would have been able to return from injury in the next game had the Titans not lost their Divisional Round playoff affair Saturday, Jan. 13, against the New England Patriots. Murray also mentioned that he envisioned returning to the team next season.

Fantasy Tip: Murray might be hopeful of a return to Tennessee in 2018 but his contract suggests otherwise, as the Titans would avoid owing him any of the $6.5 million he's set to make next season by cutting him in the coming months. That makes the most sense, as Derrick Henry is fully expected to take over the reins of the backfield. Murray's fantasy stock next year will depend on what backfield situation he lands in.
