Bengals | OC believes Andy Dalton will take next step

Wed, 09 Apr 2014 08:59:05 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson thinks QB Andy Dalton is close to becoming a great quarterback in the NFL. "The guy has the makeup to do it. What I've got to do is just continue to push, prod, pull, motivate, support him and the rest of this offensive unit, and then we've got to pick up the pieces everywhere else to give him a chance to do his job. If we do that, this young man will be right where he needs to be," Jackson said. Jackson has already vowed to focus more on a running attack to take some of the pressure off Dalton's arm.

"I don't have any questions about Andy's role in this thing. We just have to keep working it," Lewis said. "We've got to make sure we're doing everything to help Andy all the time.
