49ers | Jeremy Kerley blanked in loss

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 22:19:15 -0800

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley was targeted six times in the Week 11 game against the New England Patriots but he was held without a catch.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley's fantasy production has been erratic and this was rock bottom. He cannot be trusted outside of the deepest of fantasy leagues heading into Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins, a team he is familiar with from his days with the New York Jets.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley visits end zone again

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 21:48:03 -0800

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley posted seven grabs for a team-high 71 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley looked sharp in his first two games in October, but tailed off once Colin Kaepernick took over as the starter. Finally Kerley and Kaep jelled nicely. Kerley should still be treated as a WR4 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 11 against New England.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley held in check

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 22:12:38 -0800

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley posted three receptions for 22 yards in the Week 9 game against the New Orleans Saints. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley has struggled over the past three games with Colin Kaepernick at the helm, and it doesn't look like a change is coming anytime soon. Kerley faces the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. He posted eight grabs for 102 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets Oct. 6 against the Cards, but that was also with Blaine Gabbert under center. Avoid Kerley in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley takes step back

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 22:02:00 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley posted just two catches for 15 yards in the Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was targeted just five times.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley appeared to be on his way to fantasy relevance 14 grabs for 190 yards and two touchdowns in Weeks 5 through 6. However, the team made a quarterback switch and Kerley's value has plummeted, as he has just four grabs for 27 yards over the past two games. Avoid.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley not on injury report

Fri, 21 Oct 2016 17:35:49 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 21, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley was limited to 12 yards in his first game with Colin Kaepernick as the starting quarterback but could be more involved in the passing game this week. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues but could also be benched if owners have better options.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley practices in full

Wed, 19 Oct 2016 16:20:52 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley was held to 12 yards in the team's Week 6 game but should still have a solid role in the pass game. He will have a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and can be a flex option in deeper leagues.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley not a big factor

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 14:05:35 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley caught two passes for 12 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley had a big role in the passing game in the previous two games but was quiet in Week 6. He should still receive targets moving forward but should only be a flex option in deeper leagues.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley's role will not change

Sat, 15 Oct 2016 10:29:58 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley is expected to remain the focal point of the passing game despite head coach Chip Kelly's recent decision to change quarterbacks, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.

Fantasy Tip: The question was never whether or not Kerley should remain the focal point - he's been the best receiver on the team by a wide margin - but whether or not Colin Kaepernick has the accuracy to hit him over the short and intermediate areas of the field. One of the strengths of Kelly's offense is its ability to open up the middle of the field, which is where Kerley often works. He has a difficult matchup this week against the Buffalo Bills, but likely negative script will probably allow him to pad his likely WR3 numbers.

Thu, 13 Oct 2016 17:17:06 -0700

49ers | Limited practice for Jeremy Kerley

Wed, 12 Oct 2016 19:42:41 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley was a hot pick-up off the waiver wire this week, as he has had a couple of impressive performances over the past two weeks, emerging as San Francisco's apparent No. 1 receiver. If he is able to play he is worth a look as a low-end WR3 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley the clear No. 1

Sat, 08 Oct 2016 20:13:30 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley played every offensive snap against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, and his 26 catches this season are twice as many as any other player on the team and 17 more than any other receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley has emerged as the top option in a lackluster San Francisco passing attack. He should be owned in all formats and starting in PPR leagues.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley tops 100 yards

Thu, 06 Oct 2016 21:06:50 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley finished with eight catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 33-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, Oct. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley has clearly become Blaine Gabbert's top option, and he has 14 grabs for 190 yards and two scores in the last two games. He should be owned and starting in PPR formats.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley's status in question

Wed, 05 Oct 2016 14:55:35 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley may be a game-time decision, so owners will need to check the inactive list to see if he will play. He has become one of the top receivers for the 49ers and could be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option for owners if he is active.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley limited in practice

Tue, 04 Oct 2016 14:31:04 -0700

San Francisco WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) was limited during practice Tuesday, Oct. 4. The 49ers only had a walk-through practice Tuesday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley leads the 49ers in targets with 32 this season, and he's turned them into 202 yards on 18 receptions with a score. He's a potential starting option in PPR formats because of his target share in the offense, but the fantasy floor is low. Kerley caught just five passes for 53 yards combined in Weeks 2 and 3, after all.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley sits out

Mon, 03 Oct 2016 17:49:01 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley (ankle) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 3. The 49ers did not practice Monday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Kerley will play in Week 5. He is coming off an 88-yard performance in Week 4 but will be facing a solid Arizona Cardinals secondary in Week 5. Owners may want to consider other options to use this week.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley steps into big role

Sat, 17 Sep 2016 19:16:04 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley played 54 of 81 offensive snaps and led the team with 11 targets in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Slot receivers have enjoyed a lot of success in Chip Kelly's offenses, and Kerley enjoyed a solid game despite joining the team late in the preseason. He is a must-add in PPR formats and could emerge as a WR3.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley leads San Fran wideouts

Mon, 12 Sep 2016 22:34:29 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley hauled in seven receptions for a team-best 61 yards in the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley is still learning Chip Kelly's offense after arriving late in training camp from the New York Jets. If he can learn quickly and continue to jell with Blaine Gabbert, he might be worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues.

49ers | Jeremy Kerley the slot receiver

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 07:03:49 -0700

San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley is listed as the team's starting slot receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley really doesn't have much upside considering he just joined the team, and there are questionable parts on offense. If he carves a significant role, he could be worth a waiver claim.

Lions | Golden Tate has sure hands

Sun, 31 Jul 2016 23:21:00 -0700

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate has had sure hands in camp while his counterparts have had issues. WR Jeremy Kerley had at least three of the six-plus drops in practice Saturday, July 30.

Fantasy Tip: Tate is a nice story of a middling slot receiver that emerged as a legit threat the last two years. He's coming off a 90-813-6 season, but you have to wonder if there is more, especially since he tallied 1,331 yards the previous season. He falls into the WR2/WR3 divide, but you'd be much better off with him as the latter. Kerley should be an afterthought in fantasy, but he could enter the WR5 conversation if he reels his issues in.

Lions | Jeremy Kerley favored for No. 3 WR?

Sat, 25 Jun 2016 11:05:38 -0700

Detroit Lions WR Jeremy Kerley is expected to be the Lions' No. 3 wide receiver behind WRs Golden Tate and Marvin Jones and ahead of WR T.J. Jones.

Fantasy Tip: Tate, Jones, Theo Riddick and Eric Ebron will likely be the main targets in Detroit's offense with Calvin Johnson gone. Kerley and Jones are only worth a flier in deeper leagues.

Lions | Two will compete for Lions' No. 3 WR job

Mon, 20 Jun 2016 10:15:20 -0700

Detroit Lions WRs Jeremy Kerley (undisclosed) and T.J. Jones are expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver job during training camp even though Kerley missed some offseason workouts because of an undisclosed injury.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Kerley or Jones has an advantage in the competition, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation. Neither player likely will be a strong fantasy option. but the winner should have some value as a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Mon, 21 Mar 2016 08:15:18 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Kerley (Jets) agreed to a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions Monday, March 21, according to a source.

Bills | Jeremy Kerley visiting Bills

Tue, 15 Mar 2016 12:09:46 -0700

Free-agent WR Jeremy Kerley (Jets) is visiting the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, March 15.

Fantasy Tip: Buffalo could be a better opportunity than other teams for Kerley, as they only have one legitimate receiving threat in Sammy Watkins. That being said, Kerley has just nine touchdowns in five seasons and is better suited for punt returning. Don't draft him as a starter.

Jets | Two Jets to be cut soon?

Tue, 23 Feb 2016 12:21:04 -0800

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley and TE Jeff Cumberland could be among the next victims of New York's cuts. Kerley's role was diminished in 2015 and the Jets could increase their savings to $2.5 million if Kerley is cut before June 1. Cumberland's playing time was lessened last year and he had no signing bonus on his contract, which could make him an easier cut.

Fantasy Tip: There was a day when Kerley had some value in PPR leagues, but he just doesn't do enough behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Quincy Enunwa also stole playing time from Kerley, who was almost strictly a special teams player last season. Kerley is the better bet to find new life with a new team, if he is released, but both he and Cumberland should be avoided for now.

Jets | Jeremy Kerley has role in offense

Mon, 28 Sep 2015 10:14:02 -0700

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley was on the field for 71 of the team's 79 offensive snaps during Week 3 and caught six passes for 33 yards. Kerley's snaps could drop again if WR Eric Decker (knee) is able to play in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley should continue to see snaps as long as the team is dealing with injuries at the receiver position. Kerley likely will not post big numbers when he is on the field and is not a great fantasy option.

Jets | Jeremy Kerley could play a lot

Sat, 26 Sep 2015 10:38:16 -0700

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley is expected to see plenty of action in Week 3 with WR Chris Owusu (knee) out and WR Eric Decker (knee) questionable, according to Darryl Slater of NJ.com. Slater said Kerley specializes in the slot, which is where he is expected to take over for Decker.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley has not caught a pass this year, but has been used in the return game. His cheap price could make him an attractive sneaky play on FantasyScore this week, but there is obviously some risk with him. Tread carefully.

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 11:33:07 -0700

New York Jets WR Chris Owusu (leg) is unlikely to play in Week 3. WR Quincy Enunwa, WR Jeremy Kerley and WR Devin Smith could likely fill in.

Fantasy Tip: It gets interesting if Eric Decker (knee) is out as well, which could make Quincy Enunwa ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) an option against a depleted Philadelphia Eagles defense. However, there's not a lot to get excited about on FantasyScore.

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley will receive "bits and pieces" of the offense as the season progresses after he was demoted down the depth chart, according to offensive coordinator Chan Gailey.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) isn't a good option on FantasyScore against the New England Patriots. From the sounds of it, he's not a good option to have rostered except in the deepest traditional leagues.

Jets | Jeremy Kerley wants to start

Wed, 16 Sep 2015 16:31:21 -0700

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley views himself as a starter. Despite being disappointed, Kerley has not asked to be traded. He was expected to be the No. 3 wide receiver behind WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, but WRs Chris Owusu and Quincy Enunwa have also surpassed him. Kerley said he was a little shocked only receiving one snap in Week 1, but he takes solace in the fact that he can still return punts.

Fantasy Tip: It might be a little too early to consider dropping Kerley already if you drafted him, but that move could come in the near future. Obviously, after taking just one snap last week, Kerley ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is not a worthwhile investment on FantasyScore.

Jets | Jeremy Kerley hardly used in Week 1

Mon, 14 Sep 2015 10:33:31 -0700

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley was on the field for only three snaps during the team's Week 1 game which included one offensive snap. Head coach Todd Bowles indicated Kerley's playing time will depend on the game plan.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Kerley is becoming mostly a punt returner for the Jets and could be a candidate for the inactive list if he does not receive a bigger role in the passing game. Owners should avoid Kerley until he receives more targets.

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 11, and is listed as probable for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Kerley ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) likely will be the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for the Jets in Week 1 and probably will not receive many targets during the game. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.
