|Bills | Tyrod Taylor fully healthy|
Tue, 04 Apr 2017 20:43:47 -0700
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) declared he is 100 percent healthy as he stepped back onto the field with his teammates as part of voluntary offseason workouts. "I've felt great since the surgery, and the doctors here and the training staff have done a great job of getting me to 100 percent," Taylor said. "I've been training and I feel like I'm in great shape."
Fantasy Tip: Taylor seems to be in much better spirits than earlier in the offseason, when it was still unknown if he would be brought back as Buffalo's starting quarterback. Plus, he was still facing surgery. With both of those issues behind him, the 27-year-old appears poised to take another leap in 2017. He's been one of the most underrated QBs in all of football, as besides being a solid running threat, Taylor has accumulated 37 touchdown passes compared to just 12 interceptions over the last two seasons. He can provide great value at the end of drafts.

|Bills | Tyrod Taylor to continue running in 2017|
Sun, 02 Apr 2017 12:01:42 -0700
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor's "exceptional mobility" will remain a prominent part of the offense, according to head coach Sean McDermott. "You've got to be able to run it to win games at the end of the game or to open up games, and that just opens up the play-action game with the play faking and getting Tyrod on the edge of the defense and trying to put ourselves in favorable third-down situations or red zone situations. That's a big part of the formula to playing winning football," McDermott said.
Fantasy Tip: McDermott also expressed how impressed he was by Taylor's rehab from groin surgery and willingness to "make himself available" to the new head coach this offseason. Taylor is also happy to be working with new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, who served as the quarterbacks coach when both men were in Baltimore in 2014. Assuming the Bills add a capable wide receiver opposite Sammy Watkins in this month's draft, Taylor could flirt with low-end QB1 production from time to time.

|Bills | Tyrod Taylor terms|
Tue, 14 Mar 2017 05:55:41 -0700
Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has cap numbers of $9.713 million in 2017 and $18.08 million in 2018. His deal will automatically void if he's on the roster the fifth day after the Super Bowl in Feb. 2019. The Bills will then carry $4.2 million in dead money in 2019, the remaining portion of his $7 million signing bonus he received with the restructure. His 2017 base salary drops from $12 million to $7.5 million, and he does not receive a $15.5 million option bonus because the Bills officially declined his option as part of the restructure. His 2018 salary drops from $13 million to $10 million, and only $1 million is guaranteed.
Fantasy Tip: Taylor threw for 3,023 yards and rushed for 580 with 17 passing TDs, six picks and six rushing scores in 2016. He's a QB2, in fantasy, but he'll be a matchup play in DFS.

|Bills | Tyrod Taylor restructures deal|
Wed, 08 Mar 2017 10:51:25 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The connection with new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison is encouraging for fantasy purposes. Adding more weapons on the outside will be imperative for Taylor to grow. He's a sketchy QB2 but carries a good deal of upside.

|Browns | Tyrod Taylor on Cleveland's radar|
Sun, 05 Mar 2017 10:45:37 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Taylor is reportedly the Browns' option should they choose not to pursue Jimmy Garoppolo, and it may be the smarter approach anyway. Any attempt to land Garoppolo would require significant draft pick compensation, while signing Taylor would allow the team to address its many non-quarterback weaknesses with the first and 12th picks in April's NFL Draft. Taylor would remain a fantasy QB2 in fantasy should he leave for Cleveland.

|Bills | Buffalo backtracking on Tyrod Taylor?|
Fri, 03 Mar 2017 09:32:22 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The soap opera continues. Per Carucci, if the $30.75 million guaranteed wasn't tied to Taylor over the next two years, the Bills would likely be bringing him back for 2017. Taylor is unwilling to renegotiate, so it appears he could be on the way out. Taylor is expected to have no shortage of suitors on the market if he is released, as San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets are among the clubs who could use an established veteran quarterback.

|Bills | Tyrod Taylor cleared|
Wed, 22 Feb 2017 05:27:47 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Taylor is unlikely to see that bonus and probably won't remain with the club. He has been a decent dual threat at the position, but he'll have to land in the right situation. Even then, he's a high-end QB2 in fantasy.

|Bills | Increasing odds Tyrod Taylor stays in Buffalo?|
Tue, 21 Feb 2017 10:14:58 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Taylor will have suitors should he hit the market and is not open to a contract restructure, so Buffalo is either going to swallow hard on committing $30.75 million to him over the next two years or move on without him. A return seems the most likely outcome because the Bills know what they have in Taylor and new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison has worked with him before. Even in a slightly more wide-open offense than what he's had in his first two years with Buffalo, Taylor could flirt with low-end QB1 status.

|Browns | Jimmy Garoppolo top target for Browns?|
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 12:17:40 -0800
New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be the top target for Cleveland Browns this offseason, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. The Browns could consider quarterbacks like Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB Mike Glennon if they are not able to acquire Garoppolo.
Fantasy Tip: The Browns have two first-round picks in the 2017 draft, so they should have the pieces to move if they want to acquire Garoppolo. He played well when he served as the starter for the Patriots this past season but has not receive a lot of playing time during his career. Garoppolo would only be a No. 2 quarterback if he is traded to the Cleveland.
