Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn took nearly all the snaps in practice Thursday, Dec. 19, while backup QB Scott Tolzien took a handful of snaps. QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) did not take any snaps in the portion of practice open to the media.
Fantasy Tip: It appears that Flynn will once again get the start in the team's Week 16 game based on how practice is playing out for the Packers this week.

Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz is preparing his game to face either Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers or QB Matt Flynn, or even QB Scott Tolzien although most media reports have Flynn definitely starting the game on Thursday, Nov. 28. "We have game plans ready for all those different things," Schwartz said. "Whatever quarterback they throw out there, we'll be ready. We've looked at all three of them that have potential to be able to play in this game."

Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn took the "starter reps" in practice Tuesday, Nov. 26, but head coach Mike McCarthy has yet to name Flynn the starter in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions. QB Scott Tolzien was pulled in Week 12 in the third quarter against the Minnesota Vikings. "I'm very comfortable," said Flynn, who was the Packers' backup from 2008-2011. "I feel good with the playbook. I feel good with the game plan. I feel ready to go."
Fantasy Tip: Flynn is most comfortable in this offense. The matchup against Detroit isn't a bad one if you need another QB in leagues that start two quarterbacks.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) likely will not play in the team's Week 13 game. McCarthy said either QB Matt Flynn or QB Scott Tolzien likely will start the game.
Fantasy Tip: It appears likely Rodgers is at least a week away from returning to the field. It is not known if Flynn or Tolzien will start, but only desperate owners should consider starting either one this week.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is throwing without any pain in his collarbone, and he was seen tossing the ball around before the team's Week 11 game. He isn't experiencing pain while running either, but has yet to take any snaps. "I think the biggest issue is not the pain at this point," Rodgers said. "It is the risk of taking a shot like that and what it would do if (the collarbone) displaced. Obviously, I'd be out for the season and worried about any type of complications going forward." QB Scott Tolzien has already been named the starter in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy Tip: It looks like Rodgers is progressing, but he still has a ways to go. There's a chance he could return for the team's Thanksgiving game next week, depending on how he gets through practices leading up to that contest. Continue to be patient.
