Mon, 04 Nov 2013 05:53:06 -0800
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron had one catch for 4 yards in Week 9.
Fantasy Tip: His production in recent weeks has been spotty in recent weeks with the quarterback carousel. He clearly is receiving more attention from defenses than he was early on in his breakout performances. He's still a solid TE1, but he may be in the middle of the pack now.

Tue, 13 Aug 2013 15:15:09 -0700
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron has practiced every day while remaining healthy in training camp, and it looks as though he's becoming a big part of the offense. "And he's played more physically, and he's worked hard. It's an interesting position because it's a very physical position. You get the ball in traffic a lot. I'm hoping he can become a guy that gives us the consistency we're looking for on third down plays," offensive coordinator Norv Turner said. Cameron worked on training methods to prevent injuries in the offseason and reached out to Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez for advice.
Fantasy Tip: Big things are expected from Cameron in Turner's offense, which should regularly involve the tight end catching passes. Cameron is flying under the radar in fantasy circles and could be a very nice steal as a TE2.
Sun, 04 Aug 2013 08:32:31 -0700
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron is getting thrown to early and often during training camp and has made good progress. Cameron is losing a few too many battles against linebackers and defensive backs for passes.
Tue, 23 Jul 2013 17:12:34 -0700
Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner said Tuesday, July 23, that TE Jordan Cameron will get a shot to be the team's primary tight end. "We're going to give Jordan an opportunity to be that guy. Now let's put it in his hands," Turner said. "Is he capable of being that guy? That's why you go to camp. That's why you play the games."
Fantasy Tip: Cameron has some upside, but even if he is able to rise to the top of the depth chart, he is best used as a bye-week replacement, at least initially. There are plenty of other better options available, even in leagues of 12 or more fantasy teams.
Thu, 18 Jul 2013 11:02:56 -0700
Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner said that people would be surprised about TE Gary Barnidge. With TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring) dealing with a minor hamstring injury, it would not be a surprise for Barnidge to make a run at the starting job in camp, according to ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi.
Fantasy Tip: Barnidge is a name to keep an eye on if Cameron continues to have issues staying on the practice field, especially early in the season.
Sat, 13 Jul 2013 18:24:36 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron said he has been working on becoming the team's starting tight end this season and has been learning offensive coordinator Norv Turner's scheme. "It's just having the mindset that I'm going to be the guy, try and take over this role," Cameron said. "The confidence is huge with that, and I think I get more confidence every day, learning new things. With [tight ends coach Jon Embree], he really knows the details and how to make you a better player, whether it be blocking or positioning or route-running." Cameron said the new offense is allowing tight ends to run deep routes.

Wed, 29 May 2013 09:35:12 -0700
Cleveland Browns offensive players have raved about their first impression of OC Norv Turner's scheme. "Defenses will be shocked to say the least with how much we're running downfield,"WR Josh Gordon said. WR Greg Little said Turner "calls more post and go routes than I've ever run before."ESPN Stats and Information cites that the Browns threw the ball 10 yards or fewer downfield on 73.3 percent of their 2012 passes, and 20 yards or more on only 9 percent.
QB Brandon Weeden, not the confirmed starter but the presumed leader, is more comfortable out of the shotgun, not the timing-based, three-step-drop setup run by Pat Shurmur last year.
Fantasy Tip: The Air Coryell elements in Turner's vertical-based game give Gordon and Little some fantasy sleeper potential and should sustain Trent Richardson's RB1 stock. It's a stretch to say Weeden, if he gets the gig, will be anything more than a low-end No. 2 fantasy QB, but he could be useful in the right matchup plays for bye weeks. Keep an eye on the development of talented but unpolished TE Jordan Cameron, as well.
Tue, 28 May 2013 16:51:12 -0700
The Cleveland Browns have TEs Gary Barnidge, Kellen Davis and Brad Smelley behind projected starter Jordan Cameron on the roster. Barnidge has done a good job of blocking, as has Davis, while Smelley could find a role as a H-back because of his receiving ability.
Fantasy Tip: None of Cleveland's backup tight ends should be on your radar at this time. Cameron has upside, and could be heavily relied on in this system, but durability issues should be factored in when you consider drafting him as a TE2.
Sat, 25 May 2013 15:18:28 -0700
The Cleveland Browns are taking a cautious approach with TE Jordan Cameron (groin) while he deals with a groin injury because they see him as their starting tight end this season.
Fantasy Tip: Cameron has plenty of time before training camp to allow his groin injury to heal. Cameron should be seen as a No. 2 fantasy tight end this season because he is expected to be a part of the team's passing offense.
Thu, 23 May 2013 07:52:17 -0700
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (groin) is not practicing Thursday, May 23, due to a groin injury.
Tue, 21 May 2013 12:47:56 -0700
The Cleveland Browns really like TE Jordan Cameron as their starting tight end and have been targeting him a lot in organized team activities.
Fantasy Tip: Something to keep an eye on as training camps and preseason games get underway, is how the Browns tight end position plays out. If Cameron does win the starting job for his team, it would likely make him a solid TE2 in fantasy football.
Sun, 19 May 2013 11:05:29 -0700
The Cleveland Browns plan to throw a lot to TE Jordan Cameron this season. Cameron has been targeted on several deep passes during organized team activities.
Fantasy Tip: It appears like the team wants to get Cameron involved in the passing game, which will help his fantasy value a great deal. He is probably not a No. 1 tight end at this point but could be a No. 2 tight end with upside.

Wed, 17 Apr 2013 18:34:36 -0700
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron is expected to serve as the No. 1 tight end in head coach Rob Chudzinski's offense, and the position is very busy in the team's new scheme. "Well he's not ready right now, we are working through that with him," Chudzinski said Wednesday, April 17. "He is learning the offense obviously. This is an offense that has featured tight ends and tight ends have always been a big part of it. He has the skill set that fits and he has had a good couple days."
Fantasy Tip: Cameron has not yet reached his ceiling, but right now he is not considered someone who will be drafted even if fantasy leagues which require one starter at the tight end position. However, he might emerge as a useful fantasy option, especially when your primary option has a bye week or difficult matchup.
Sun, 14 Apr 2013 12:15:44 -0700
Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron said he is looking forward to the opportunity to compete for the starting tight end job and playing in the team's new offense. "I know it's a big opportunity," Cameron said. "There's a lot of opportunities to make plays, and I just want to get out there, show what I can do, and showcase my athleticism. I've always been looking for this opportunity, and so far, getting to meet the coaches and some of the new guys has been good so far."
Fantasy Tip: Cameron appears to be the leading candidate to win the starting tight end job at this point. He likely will not be a No. 1 tight end next season but could have the chance to be a solid No. 2 tight end on fantasy teams.
