Dolphins | Jordan Cameron likes QB stability

Fri, 12 Jun 2015 20:09:23 -0700

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron blames his lack of production prior to 2013 on the revolving door at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron had eight different starting quarterbacks in four seasons with the Browns. Meanwhile, Ryan Tannehill has started every game the last three seasons for Miami and has shown a willingness to throw to his tight ends. You should feel comfortable drafting Cameron as a TE1.

Dolphins | Durability concerns for Jordan Cameron?

Fri, 03 Apr 2015 19:00:20 -0700

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron has a per game bonus of $156,250 in his contract in 2015 and 2106, and $9.5 million of his $15 million contract will count against the cap in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron's contract is set up so that he must stay healthy and perform well if he has any chance of maximizing the value of his contract. While he does carry some injury risk, he should still be considered a TE1 heading into next season.

Dolphins | Jordan Cameron the go-to TE

Thu, 19 Mar 2015 10:15:51 -0700

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron will be the team's go-to tight end now that they didn't bring back TE Charles Clay, who signed an offer sheet with the Buffalo Bills. Cameron made the Pro Bowl in 2013 and has more athleticism than Clay, but Cameron has also dealt with multiple concussions.

Fantasy Tip: The fact that Clay isn't returning to Miami is a great thing for Cameron's 2015 fantasy football value. He'll be the primary pass-catching tight end for the team, and he has the talent alone to be a legitimate TE1 for owners. Not to mention, Ryan Tannehill relies heavily on tight ends, and he'll surely make Cameron a popular red zone target.

Dolphins | Jordan Cameron unfazed by concussions

Sun, 15 Mar 2015 06:40:27 -0700

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron said he does not believe the three concussions he suffered over the past three seasons will affect him moving forward. "I've seen a lot of specialists and talked to a lot of people and it's cleared. My baseline is the same as it was six years ago. There's no cause for concern on my end for this, and the Dolphins felt the same," Cameron said.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron probably will be considered an injury risk moving forward because of his concussion history, but he should have a solid role in the Dolphins passing game as long as he is healthy. Cameron may be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end or a No. 2 tight end in drafts next season.

Free-agent TE Jordan Cameron (Browns) has signed with the Miami Dolphins, the team announced Thursday, March 12.

Free-agent TE Jordan Cameron (Browns) is reportedly in negotiations with the Miami Dolphins. It was originally reported that Cameron had re-signed with the Cleveland Browns.

Browns | Jordan Cameron still in the mix in CLE

Thu, 12 Mar 2015 11:46:04 -0700

Updating a previous report, free-agent TE Jordan Cameron (Browns) is still getting interest from the Cleveland Browns to possibly re-sign him.

Fantasy Tip: After missing six games with concussion issues in 2014, Cameron could be a candidate to rebound in 2015 assuming he can stay healthy and he lands in the right situation.

Dolphins | Miami to host Jordan Cameron

Tue, 10 Mar 2015 22:07:41 -0700

The Miami Dolphins will host free-agent TE Jordan Cameron (Browns) Wednesday, March 11, barring him getting a quick deal elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron missed six games last season after dealing with concussion. His miserable 2014 season followed up a Pro Bowl campaign in Cleveland in 2013 when he posted 917 yards and seven scores. If he can stay healthy he might re-emerge as a Top 5 fantasy option at his position.

Browns | Jordan Cameron likely done in CLE

Sun, 22 Feb 2015 18:18:27 -0800

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent TE Jordan Cameron is not expected to be re-signed by the team.

Fantasy Tip: The tight end position is a spot very much in demand, and the draft isn't very deep. Cameron is likely to find a big payday, and he could be a nice rebound candidate for fantasy owners in the right system if he can stay healthy.

Browns | Jordan Cameron wants out of Cleveland?

Thu, 05 Feb 2015 18:32:58 -0800

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent TE Jordan Cameron is not interested in re-signing with the team, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries took a toll on Cameron's number in 2014, but he had 80 catches for 917 yards two years ago. If he signs with a team that will utilize his pass-catching skills, he has TE1 upside. However, you will want to have a solid backup plan for the position given Cameron's injury history.

Fri, 05 Dec 2014 15:17:52 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is questionable for Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts. He needs to pass at least one more concussion test with a neurologist Friday before being cleared for contact, but head coach Mike Pettine is hopeful that Cameron can return after missing the last five games.

Fantasy Tip: Hopefull we'll know before Sunday morning whether Cameron can return to play the Colts. If he's starting, he could make for a nice sleeper tight end at FantasyScore for $5,100.

Browns | Jordan Cameron limited Wednesday

Wed, 03 Dec 2014 15:32:10 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: It's a good sign that Cameron was limited in practice this early in the week, but he'll need to be cleared by a doctor before he plays against the Indianapolis Colts. If Cameron returns, consider him an excellent sleeper play at FantasyScore for $5,100. The Colts have allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends in the last four weeks.

Browns | Jordan Cameron questionable

Fri, 28 Nov 2014 11:43:57 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) is listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: There is some optimism that Cameron ($5,200) will return to action in Week 13. However, he could be a game-time call, and the Bills have held opposing tight ends in check this year. Consider Cameron a weak tight end option for your lineups, at least this week if he returns.

Browns | Jordan Cameron takes part in some drills

Thu, 27 Nov 2014 15:26:09 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should continue to monitor his situation to see if he is cleared to play in Week 13. Cameron will be facing a tough Buffalo Bills defense and could show some rust during the game, so he is not a great option to use on FantasyScore.

Browns | Jordan Cameron puts in limited practice

Wed, 26 Nov 2014 15:25:58 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: As long as Cameron puts in another few symptom-free practices later this week, there's a good chance he'll be cleared by doctors to play in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills. However, he'll return to face a shut-down defense, making him not the greatest option at FantasyScore for $5,200.

Browns | Jordan Cameron remains day-to-day

Wed, 26 Nov 2014 13:31:46 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) remains day-to-day, but the team is looking for him to practice symptom-free this week, according to head coach Mike Pettine.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron ($5,200) looks like he has a decent shot to play against the Bills. However, the Bills have been stingy to the tight end position all year, so it may be safer to hold off on Cameron at FantasyScore for at least another week.

Browns | Jordan Cameron likely a go for Week 13

Tue, 25 Nov 2014 08:48:43 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) is expected to play in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: Of course, the outlook could change as the week moves along, but this is a positive sign. The matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills isn't statistically positive, but the Bills' pass defense may have trouble with a healthy weapon like him. Plus, with Josh Gordon back in the fold, the tight end should have more space in which to roam. Cameron, who hasn't played since Week 8, is a sneaky daily fantasy option and should be added in traditional leagues.

Browns | Jordan Cameron ruled out

Fri, 21 Nov 2014 10:19:36 -0800

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Gary Barnidge ($3,000) is a bargain option at tight end, but he's a poor option at the position. Look elsewhere in a week where injuries have ravaged the tight end position.

Browns | Jordan Cameron returns to practice

Fri, 21 Nov 2014 10:17:35 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) returned to practice Friday, Nov. 21. He has missed the last three games with a concussion.

Fantasy Tip: Just because Cameron returned to practice doesn't mean he'll be cleared to play against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. There's still a good chance he won't play, so it'd be wise to avoid him at FantasyScore for $5,200. Gary Barnidge ($3,000) will continue to fill in for Cameron if he doesn't play, but he's not worth a look in fantasy leagues.

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) did not practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 20.

Browns | Jordan Cameron still not practicing

Wed, 19 Nov 2014 09:59:00 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) is still in the concussion protocol and will not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Cameron may miss another week because of his concussion, but owners will need to see if he is able to practice at any point this week. Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray likely would continue to work at tight end, but neither should be used by owners on FantasyScore even though they only costs $3,000 each.

Fri, 14 Nov 2014 10:44:14 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron's (concussion) rest of the season could be in doubt, according to head coach Mike Pettine. Pettine said concussion symptoms can come and go.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron ($5,200) has missed practice all week and looks to be a long shot to play in Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray will have to continue to pick up the slack at tight end if Cameron misses the rest of the year. Neither of Cameron's replacements are worth a serious look in fantasy leagues, however.

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) missed his third straight day of practice Friday, Nov. 14.

Thu, 13 Nov 2014 10:43:49 -0800

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) is not participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron looks like he will miss another game because of his concussion, so he should be avoided this week. Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray probably will share work at tight end, but Barnidge could be more involved in the passing game. Both players costs $3,000 on FantasyScore, but owners should look to use a better option.

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) has not been ruled out for Week 11 at this point, but there is no update on his status, according to head coach Mike Pettine.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron has not been able to practice yet, so it is not looking good for him to play in Week 11. Cameron costs $5,200 on FantasyScore, but owners should avoid using him until he is able to return to the field.

Browns | Jordan Cameron misses practice

Wed, 12 Nov 2014 13:59:11 -0800

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: There was a chance Cameron was going to get back on the practice field today, but that did not happen. Perhaps tomorrow. Regardless, Cameron looks to be very iffy for Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Consider him a pretty big risk at FantasyScore for a cost of $5,200.

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) may be able to do some drills during practice Wednesday, Nov. 12, according to head coach Mike Pettine.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron's status for Week 11 is uncertain because of the concussion, so owners will want to watch his practice participation during the week. Browns | Jordan Cameron won't play in Week 9

Fri, 31 Oct 2014 09:50:32 -0700

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) didn't practice all week, and he won't be available to play in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also missed two games in 2012 and one last year due to concussions. TEs Jim Dray and Gary Barnidge will carry the load without Cameron playing. Dray has nine catches for 118 yards and a touchdown this year, while Barnidge has five grabs for 54 yards.

Fantasy Tip: With prior experience with concussions, Cameron isn't a sure thing to play next week, either. Dray is the better fantasy play this weekend, but he's a lottery ticket at FantasyScore. The absence of Cameron could benefit Andrew Hawkins and Miles Austin more in a friendly matchup against the Bucs.
