Milwaukee Brewers RPs Jim Henderson (shoulder) and Tyler Thornburg (elbow, wrist) still do not have a timetable for their respective returns, according to general manager Doug Melvin. Melvin noted Henderson was closer to returning than Thornburg, though.

Milwaukee Brewers RP Tyler Thornburg (elbow) will not need reconstructive surgery on his elbow, according to manager Ron Roenicke. The skipper said nothing is definitive yet on Thornburg's elbow, but "the good thing is that it's not Tommy John. That came out clean."

Milwaukee Brewers P Tyler Thornburg might be the odd-man out when SP Yovani Gallardo (hamstring) is ready to return from the 15-day disabled list. Thornburg will start Wednesday, Aug. 14, against the Texas Rangers, and then he could be sent to the minors.
