Saints | Joe Morgan hoping to prove himself

Fri, 06 Jun 2014 18:50:49 -0700

New Orleans Saints WR Joe Morgan (knee) is hoping to carve out a role in the offense after missing all of last season with a torn ACL. He estimates that his health is at 80 percent, but he hopes to be ready for the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: The receiving corps in New Orleans is crowded, but Morgan should have a better understanding of the Saints' complex passing attack than first-round pick WR Brandin Cooks. The offense has shown it can support multiple receivers, and Morgan could carve out a role. He is at least worth keeping an eye heading into the season.

Saints | Joe Morgan re-signs

Tue, 18 Mar 2014 16:10:52 -0700

The New Orleans Saints re-signed WR Joe Morgan to an undisclosed one-year deal Tuesday, March 18.

Fantasy Tip: Morgan provides the Saints with additional wide receiver depth after they let Lance Moore go. Kenny Stills is probably ahead of Morgan on the depth chart after his impressive 2013 season, though, making Morgan a player that probably should go undrafted in standard leagues.
