Chicago White Sox OF Adam Eaton (hamstring) said he's dealing with more than just a mild strain in the lower part of his left hamstring. "Apparently there's a tendon that is kind of rolling over on the inside back part of my knee. It's been kind of an easier fix," Eaton said. "We're making sure the tendon doesn't move and that equals no pain." He ran some stairs, did lunges and ran on an incline Tuesday, April 22, and everything went well. Eaton declared himself 95 percent healthy.
Fantasy Tip: Eaton could return in a day or two. When he does, return him to your fantasy lineups.

Chicago White Sox OF Adam Eaton (hamstring) plans to test his strained left hamstring Tuesday, April 22, and he might return to the lineup Wednesday, April 23, if it feels good. Eaton doesn't think he'll need to go on the disabled list. "We'll be very cautious with him because he's kind of a maniac when he runs around, so you have to be careful," manager Robin Ventura said. "I did explain that to him that because of his personality, we can talk about it, but we're not going to go by everything he says, in a good way, not a bad way."
Fantasy Tip: Continue to check on the availability of Eaton, but expect him to be out at least another day or two.

Chicago White Sox OF Adam Eaton (elbow) said Tuesday, Feb. 18, that he has no lingering effects from a sprain in his left ulnar collateral ligament. He admitted moving from the National League to the American League presents a new task in learning the pitchers, but he is ready for the challenge. "I'm ready to play baseball. We are all little kids out here, just playing on the playground, playing some baseball," Eaton said.
Fantasy Tip: Eaton can hit for average, and he is a nice source of steals when he is healthy. He has had a propensity for injury, but as long as he can avoid the disabled list, he will be a nice fantasy option in all formats.

The Chicago White Sox will put OF Alejandro De Aza on the trading block after acquiring OF Adam Eaton.

The Chicago White Sox acquired OF Adam Eaton from the Arizona Diamondbacks as part of a three-team trade Tuesday, Dec. 10. The White Sox sent SP Hector Santiago to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Angels also acquired SP Tyler Skaggs from the Diamondbacks in exchange for OF Mark Trumbo.
Fantasy Tip: First and foremost, the trade of Santiago likely means Chris Sale isn't going anywhere. Eaton is a high-energy type that should fit nicely in the outfield alongside Avisail Garcia and Dayan Viciedo. Eaton gains some intrigue moving to U.S. Cellular Field, a place that will help what's left of his limited power stroke.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim acquired SP Tyler Skaggs from the Arizona Diamondbacks and SP Hector Santiago from the Chicago White Sox Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Angels sent OF Mark Trumbo to the Diamondbacks and OF Adam Eaton was sent from Arizona to Chicago.
Fantasy Tip: The Halos were desperate for starting rotation help, and Skaggs and Santiago should be expected to fill out the starting five for next year. Skaggs is still young and has time to develop, but his prospect hype may leave him a tad overrated. Santiago appears to be the better catch, as he's pitched much better as a starter than reliever. The move to a more friendly pitcher's environment will help both, too.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired OF Mark Trumbo from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Tuesday, Dec. 10, in a three-team deal that also sent OF Adam Eaton to the Chicago White Sox and SPs Hector Santiago and Tyler Skaggs to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Fantasy Tip: Trumbo's 30-homer power will play nicely in the desert, but he doesn't make enough contact to sustain a helpful batting average. It's feast or famine for him with his strikeout rate approaching 30 percent. His addition and the loss of Adam Eaton will allow Gerardo Parra to move into a starter role in center field.
