Oakland Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes' (thumb) X-rays were negative after leaving the game Wednesday, July 23, with a right thumb sprain. He hit two homers in the game before leaving.

Fantasy Tip: This is still an injury that can wreck a swing and require a DL stint. Monitor his status, but expect Josh Reddick and Stephen Vogt to see more ABs in the interim.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes was out of the lineup Friday, July 11, against the Seattle Mariners. The fact SP Felix Hernandez was on the mound was not a factor, but the fact Cespedes looked "frustrated" Thursday, July 10, meant manager Bob Melvin thought the outfielder could use a day off.
