Giants | Nori Aoki activated

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 16:15:06 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Nori Aoki (leg) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Monday, July 27, and 3B Joaquin Arias was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Aoki ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is back in the starting lineup hitting eighth tonight against Milwaukee Brewers starter Kyle Lohse. While there's plenty of risk starting Aoki tonight in his first game back and while hitting at the bottom of the lineup, the matchup against Lohse is a solid one for FantasyScore users.

Giants | Nori Aoki needs more time

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 16:26:52 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Nori Aoki (leg) is expected to play at least two more rehab games before returning to the team, according to manager Bruce Bochy.

Fantasy Tip: Aoki ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is worth owning in the majority of seasonal leagues, as he tips the scales plenty in runs, batting average and stolen bases. FantasyScore owners will want to allow him to settle back in at the dish before utilizing him in contests. It is also worth noting, given the nature of his injury, Aoki may not be as aggressive on the base paths upon returning.

Giants | Nori Aoki out of cast

Wed, 08 Jul 2015 11:02:08 -0700

San Francisco Giants OF Nori Aoki (leg) is out of his cast and is now wearing a walking boot. However, it'll be a while before he's cleared to begin baseball activities.

Fantasy Tip: Aoki might not return for a while, but he deserves to be stashed in all fantasy formats. In his absence, Gregor Blanco ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should continue to see everyday at-bats, and his daily value is high right now with him serving as the leadoff hitter. Blanco is hard to ignore at that price when facing certain right-handed pitchers on FantasyScore.
