Colts | Indy signs Robert Turbin

Tue, 15 Mar 2016 15:03:27 -0700

Free-agent RB Robert Turbin (Cowboys) signed an undisclosed deal with the Indianapolis Colts Tuesday, March 15.

Fantasy Tip: Frank Gore will still be the main man in the Colts' backfield in 2016. Turbin will primarily be competing with Dan Herron and Ahmad Bradshaw for playing time behind Gore. He won't be much of a fantasy factor unless one of the three gets injured.

Mon, 07 Dec 2015 22:45:05 -0800

Dallas Cowboys RB Robert Turbin carried six times for 12 yards and he added two receptions for 12 yards in the Week 13 game against the Washington Redskins Monday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Turbin saw increased touches with Darren McFadden leaving for a couple of series to be evaluated for concussion. Turbin isn't a recommended FantasyScore option going forward unless McFadden suffers an injury which forces him to be inactive.

Browns | Robert Turbin leads the backfield

Sun, 25 Oct 2015 17:13:18 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Robert Turbin ran for a team-high 30 yards on five and caught two passes for eight yards in a 24-6 loss to the St. Louis Rams in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Although Turbin ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) totaled the most yards, Isaiah Crowell ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) and Duke Johnson ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) both received more carries. Unless someone emerges from the committee, all three backs are risky plays at FantasyScore.

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 09:41:20 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Robert Turbin (ankle) is expected to receive 10 to 12 snaps in the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Turbin ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is working his way back from an ankle injury and will be eased into the offense. He could have an impact for fantasy owners later in the season but is not a great option at this point.

Browns | Robert Turbin has lofty goal

Sat, 17 Oct 2015 07:19:43 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Robert Turbin said he wants to rush for 1,000 yards this season even though he has not played in any games at this point. Turbin could share work with Duke Johnson in the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos if Isaiah Crowell (toe) is not able to play.

Fantasy Tip: Turbin ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) joined the team early in the season and has not been able to play because of an ankle injury. Owners probably should avoid him even if he has a bigger role in Week 6 because he may be a little rusty during the game.

Seahawks | Christine Michael's time to shine?

Thu, 04 Jun 2015 20:09:05 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael will handle a bulk of the running back duties during the offseason with RB Marshawn Lynch and RB Robert Turbin (hip) expected to see little playing time prior to the regular season. "This is his time," head coach Pete Carroll said. "So we're going to push him in that regard and try to match up with his expectations. He wants to be a front-line back and he has tremendous talent. We'll see how it goes."

Fantasy Tip: Michael has flashed his upside during the preseason in previous years, but he hasn't seen much action in games that matter. He could be worth snatching up late in keeper leagues, but he won't have any real value in 2015 unless Lynch misses time.

Thu, 19 Feb 2015 09:57:41 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch continues to ponder if he'll return for another season, and general manager John Schneider said he wouldn't be surprised if Lynch chose to retire. Schneider also said he's confident RBs Robert Turbin and Christine Michael could carry the load if Lynch doesn't return in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch is a unique fellow, so we wouldn't be very surprised if he hung them up, either. It's unclear when Lynch will make his decision, but if he does come back, he should remain a fairly safe first-round pick, even at his age.

Thu, 12 Jun 2014 17:11:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch told two teammates last season that he could retire if the team won the Super Bowl, and that option is still realistic at this point, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: If Lynch decides to walk away, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael likely would share carries this upcoming season. Michael likely would have more value because of his performance during organized team activities and his potential to be a lead back, but Turbin would also have solid value.
