Detroit Lions OT Taylor Decker worked exclusively at left tackle in spring practices, pushing OT Riley Reiff to the right side. The team will get a better sense of what Decker can do when the team is in pads and he is working against DE Ziggy Ansah at full speed in training camp.

Detroit Lions OT Taylor Decker seems to be tightening his grip on the starting left tackle position this offseason. Decker said he's just playing where the Lions tell him to play, though, and that he doesn't count his repetitions at every position. Decker's emergence has pushed OT Riley Reiff to the starting right tackle position.

Detroit is trying to replace both starting tackles from last season after OT Jeff Backus retired and OT Gosder Cherilus left via free agency. Fox and 2012 first-round draft pick Riley Reiff are expected to play bigger roles this year. No further details were available about his condition. Detroit Lions WR Titus Young, who was sent home from the team's facility Monday, Nov. 19, has now been sent home twice in the past six months due to his immaturity. He angered receivers coach Shawn Jefferson and the coaching staff in Week 11 late in the fourth quarter. He incorrectly lined up in the slot on a second-down play with the team down 21-20. TE Tony Scheffler was the outside receiver to his left. OT Riley Reiff looked up and yelled to Young to get into the correct position, but was ignored. Scheffler tried to get back into the slot, but Young shook him off. As a result of the confusion, OT Gosder Cherilus was whistled for a false start.

He played only nine offensive snaps in the first four games. Reiff needs some work in pass blocking, but he's proven very successful in run blocking so far.
