Lions | Alshon Jeffery on Detroit wish list?

Mon, 01 Feb 2016 21:53:05 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent WR Alshon Jeffery is tops on the wish list of the Detroit Lions if WR Calvin Johnson elects to retire. However, the Bears could use the franchise tag or sign Jeffery to an extension before he reaches free agency, so Jeffery to the Lions is considered a long shot.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has struggled with injuries in his career, but he has 252 catches, 3,728 yards and 24 touchdowns in his first four NFL seasons. He is a fantasy stud regardless of where he plays his football in 2016 as long as he can stay healthy.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery likely to return

Mon, 01 Feb 2016 11:09:24 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is too valuable to not re-sign with the Bears this offseason, according to ESPNChicago.com's Jeff Dickerson. Dickerson said Chicago can't afford to let Jeffery leave, especially since they drafted and developed him. If Jeffery and the Bears can't agree on a deal, then Jeffery could receive the franchise tag.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery is coming off an injury-plagued 2015 season, but he was dynamite when he played, and he was extremely productive in the two previous seasons in which he was healthy. The injuries are a concern, but Jeffery is a fringe WR1 when healthy.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery's future in CHI up in air

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 19:50:58 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery, a restricted free agent, might have the franchise tag applied to him in the offseason. He was limited to nine games in 2015 due to injury, and the team may not be comfortable giving him a long-term deal. He still posted 54 receptions for 807 yards and four touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery is a talented receiver, and perhaps one of the best fantasy options in the league when he is healthy. There is a lot of uncertainty with his future, and it's also uncertain if Jay Cutler will be his quarterback or if Chicago will go another direction. Regardless of his QB, Jeffery is a top-tier fantasy receiver when healthy.

Bears | Long-term deal for Alshon Jeffery?

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 18:49:44 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is a serious candidate to receive a long-term contract offer from the team in the offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has dealt with multiple injuries over his career, but he has been productive when he has played. Wherever he ends up in 2016, Jeffrey should be a solid WR2 with upside for fantasy purposes.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery may not return

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 11:36:04 -0800

Chicago Bears impending free-agent WR Alshon Jeffery may not return in 2016 as the team is unlikely to get involved in a bidding war for him, in the opinion of beat writer Jeff Dickerson.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery will be a WR2 consideration in fantasy next season, but he has to avoid the injury bug that has plagued him the last couple of years.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery to IR

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 08:12:43 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) was placed on Injured Reserve Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: His season is over, and Eddie Royal could be viewed as their WR1 in Week 17. Royal ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) caught five passes for just 21 yards last week, but for the price on FantasyScore, he's a decent grab against the Detroit Lions.

Bears | Trio of receivers do little for Chicago

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 18:36:04 -0800

Chicago Bears WRs Josh Bellamy, Marc Mariani and Eddie Royal were the top wide receivers in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) sidelined. It was Mariani leading the way with 32 yards on two grabs, with Royal posting five catches for 21 yards and Bellamy just two catches for 10 yards.

Fantasy Tip: The trio did nothing for FantasyScore owners, and killed the value of Jay Cutler in the process. If Jeffery is again sidelined in Week 17, avoid the Chicago passing offense options completely.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery won't face Tampa Bay

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 08:20:55 -0800

Confirming a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) will not play in Week 16's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) did not practice at all during the week, so the fact that he is inactive should not come as a surprise. Eddie Royal ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) could see additional targets this afternoon due to his absence.

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 07:12:19 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 16's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) did not practice at all this week and has been plagued by injuries all season. Avoid using him in FantasyScore today.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery doubtful for Week 16

Fri, 25 Dec 2015 14:40:43 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 25, and is listed as doubtful for the Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) probably will miss the game, but owners should still check the inactive list to see if he has a chance to play. Owners should look for healthier options to use in their lineups this week.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery sits again

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 12:35:10 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (non-injury) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has missed two practices in a row now and his status for this weekend's game is starting to look shaky. He has dealt with more than his fair share of injuries this year and even left last week's contest with hamstring tightness. Be prepared to look for another option if you were planning to start Jeffery this week.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery's status uncertain

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 14:43:03 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery's (hamstring) status for the final two games of the season is uncertain, according to head coach John Fox. Jeffery has already missed five games this year with various injuries.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) usually sits out Wednesday practice, so there aren't any red flags just yet. Despite catching only one pass that went for a touchdown last week, Jeffery isn't a bad fantasy selection if he's active in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a top-10 fantasy matchup for receivers.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery misses practice

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 11:37:56 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) typically rests Wednesdays, so don't be alarmed. Despite catching one of his five targets in Week 15, he managed to score a touchdown and has scored in back-to-back weeks. Jeffery should have a much more productive game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a top-10 matchup for receivers all year long.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery to be evaluated

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 13:09:44 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) will be evaluated Wednesday, Dec. 23, to see what his availability will be for Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to head coach John Fox.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has been battling injuries all year but has been productive when on the field. In Week 15, he had only one catch, but it went for a 10-yard score. The Bucs are a nice matchup for receivers, but you'll have to weigh the risks with Jeffery's injury on FantasyScore.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery injured hamstring

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 12:06:46 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during the team's Week 15 game and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery may not be able to return to the game, so owners will need to check on his status after the game. Jeffery has played well at times this season but could miss some playing time if the injury is significant.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery active versus Minnesota

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 08:41:07 -0800

Confirming a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (calf, illness) is active for Week 15's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) had been listed as questionable on the injury report but was able to practice on a limited basis Friday, Dec. 18. He should be viewed as a WR1 in FantasyScore this week, with a favorable matchup against a shaky Minnesota secondary.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery feels fine

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 14:29:55 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (calf, illness) isn't worried by his calf injury and said he feels fine for Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings. "I'm good, boss," Jeffery said.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) may be passed up by a lot of folks since he's questionable, but if he plays, you should consider him. He's been one of the most productive receivers when on the field this year and is going up against a beat up and vulnerable Minnesota secondary.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery, Zach Miller questionable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 11:14:12 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (calf, illness) and TE Zach Miller (ribs) are both listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings. Jeffery returned to practice Friday, Dec. 18.

Fantasy Tip: It's a good sign that Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) was able to practice Friday, but he may be a game-time decision Sunday morning. Check the inactives before putting him in your daily lineups. If he's playing, he's a solid FantasyScore pick, as he's been one of the most productive receivers this year when health. Miller ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) should be OK barring a setback. Be careful, though, as he's been heavily touchdown-reliant in recent weeks.

Bears | Chicago not concerned with Alshon Jeffery

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 15:05:58 -0800

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler isn't concerned that WR Alshon Jeffery (illness, calf) sat out of practice Thursday, Dec. 17. Head coach John Fox said it was the illness that kept Jeffery out Thursday. Jeffery has missed five games with hamstring and groin injuries this year. He's gone over 100 yards receiving four times this year and averages 99.6 yards per game, which ranks fourth in the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has been lights out when he's been on the field, so if he plays against the Minnesota Vikings and their banged up secondary this weekend, he should be a perfectly acceptable pick for your FantasyScore receiving corps.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery out sick

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 11:29:29 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (illness, calf) missed practice again Thursday, Dec. 17, with an illness after missing practice Wednesday, Dec. 16, with a calf ailment.

Fantasy Tip: Nagging injuries have been the story of Jeffery's ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) 2015 season, but when he's been on the field he's been very productive for his owners. Check back tomorrow on his status, but if he's expected to play, he's not a terrible daily pick against the Minnesota Vikings, who are hurting in the secondary right now.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery limited Wednesday

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 14:58:31 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has dealt with more than his fair share of injuries this season, especially with his calf. The positive news is that he at least practiced, but he should be monitored over the next few days. It's hard to believe he won't play, though, unless he suffers a setback.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery over 100 yards vs. WSH

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 15:44:10 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery caught six passes for 107 yards and scored one touchdown in a 24-21 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Jeffery ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has regained his stroke for three straight weeks following a week 11 shutout against the Denver Broncos. Last week he dropped a lot of passes, but this week he was pretty successful.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery not on injury report

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 08:24:29 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) isn't on the injury report Thursday, Dec. 3, for the first time this season.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has a decent matchup against the San Francisco 49ers this week, and he's a low-end WR1 on FantasyScore.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery could attain record

Tue, 01 Dec 2015 12:48:53 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is averaging 100.8 receiving yards per game in 2015, which would rank most in franchise history for a single season.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has dealt with his fair share of injuries this season, but when he has been on the field he has produced. He has had more time to rest and recover for this week's contest against the San Francisco 49ers, who have not defended receivers well this year. Jeffery should be viewed as a WR1 in Week 13.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery active

Thu, 26 Nov 2015 16:17:38 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) is officially active for the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) should see his normal workload during the game despite his injuries. Jeffery will be facing a solid Packers offense but could still be a decent starting option in certain leagues.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery questionable

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 12:21:27 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) are both listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has missed the last three games. It's fair to wonder how much work he'll concede to impressive rookie Jeremy Langford. For that reason alone it's worth passing on Forte in daily formats. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) is a risk/reward pick on FantasyScore. The Bears could be forced to pass early and often, but in a cold contest at less than 100% he could be limited.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery expected to play

Tue, 24 Nov 2015 14:29:15 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) are both expected to suit up in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Nov. 26. Both players said they were feeling fine after practice Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has missed the last three games, and it's safe to say Jeremy Langford will cut into his workload at least somewhat because of how effective the rookie has been of late. That complicates Forte's daily value and limits return on investment at a lofty price. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) seems like a more worthwhile investment on FantasyScore in a game that should feature Chicago airing it out.

Bears | Three Bears limited Tuesday

Tue, 24 Nov 2015 12:28:59 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin), RB Matt Forte (knee) and TE Martellus Bennett (ribs) were limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: All three players are question marks heading into Week 12. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) has been battling injuries off and on all year; he may be the biggest question mark. All three need to be monitored before setting FantasyScore lineups this week. Marquess Wilson ($3,200, 6.4%), Jeremy Langford ($7,300, 14.6%) and Zach Miller ($2,800, 5.6%) would be the primary beneficiaries if Jeffery, Forte and Bennett were to sit.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery, Marquess Wilson limited

Mon, 23 Nov 2015 13:50:14 -0800

Chicago Bears WRs Alshon Jeffery (groin) and Marquess Wilson (groin) were both limited in practice Monday, Nov. 23. The Bears didn't actually practice Monday, so their designations are an estimation.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery missed Week 11 against the Denver Broncos, and his status is up in the air once again on a short week against the Green Bay Packers. If he sits out another contest, Wilson will once again be a popular sleeper pick on FantasyScore in a game in which the Bears will likely be throwing often.

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 08:58:12 -0800

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery out

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 08:30:00 -0800

Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) have both been declared inactive for Week 11's game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Remove both Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) and Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) from your fantasy lineups. RB Jeremy Langford ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) will start at running back but has his work cut out for him against one of the league's top defenses. With Jeffery and Eddie Royal deactivated, Josh Bellamy ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Marquess Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) are likely to see the bulk of the receptions for Chicago this week at wideout but neither player is a great fantasy option.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery unlikely to play

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 06:59:23 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 11's game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18, and did not participate at all Thursday, Nov. 19. He only had three receptions for 23 yards while battling the injury in Week 10's game against the St. Louis Rams and would not have been a risky selection in FantasyScore this week if healthy because of Denver's strong secondary. Remove him from all fantasy lineups.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery questionable

Fri, 20 Nov 2015 10:53:48 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) are both questionable to face the Denver Broncos in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) could be a game-time decision this Sunday, but the Bears may choose to rest him up for a short week next week. Either way, both Forte and Jeremy Langford ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) are shaky daily plays on FantasyScore, especially if they both split the workload. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) faces a stout secondary and should probably be faded in this matchup.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery out of practice

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 11:28:38 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) was out of practice Thursday, Nov. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) faces a tough Denver Broncos secondary in Week 11, and he might not be the best option on FantasyScore if he's healthy enough to go.

Bears | Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery limited

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 11:43:13 -0800

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) were both limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18. Forte has missed the last two games.

Fantasy Tip: Forte ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) could be a game-time decision against the Denver Broncos this week. With Jeremy Langford excelling in his absence, the Bears have no reason to rush him back. Forte is way too risky for the price on FantasyScore against an elite defense. Jeffery ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) should play if he doesn't have a setback, but he, too, doesn't look like a good return on investment in this matchup.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery has subpar performance

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 18:42:51 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery posted three grabs for just 23 yards in the Week 10 game against the St. Louis Rams. He was targeted four times.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears used a combination of Zachary Miller and Jeremy Langford in the short pass game, eating into the targets of Jeffery in the process. Jeffery is the only legitimate wideout active on the roster right now, but Cutler is not being given much time to look downfield so he is throwing the short stuff. That isn't great for Jeffery's short-term FantasyScore outlook.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery active Sunday

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 09:03:58 -0800

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) is officially active for Week 10's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) is a risky play in FantasyScore for Week 10 because of an unfavorable matchup against the Rams, who have given up the fewest receiving touchdowns in the NFL (five) and have allowed the seventh-fewest receiving yards.

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 07:10:05 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the St. Louis Rams, according to multiple sources.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has a difficult matchup against the St. Louis defense, who have allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards in the NFL this season. He should be considered a low-end WR1 in FantasyScore at best.

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 10:16:47 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 13, and he's questionable for Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has a tough draw against the St. Louis Rams, but he's a low-end WR1 option on FantasyScore if he goes.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery day-to-day

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 14:39:44 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) is day-to-day with a tweaked groin, according to head coach John Fox. Jeffery has reached 100 yards receiving in each of the last three games. He was seen walking through the locker room without a limp Thursday, Nov. 12, despite missing practice. The Bears are hopeful he can bounce back and play in Week 10 against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: The Rams allow the fourth-fewest PPR points (15.7) to wide receivers per game, so Jeffery's ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) streak of 100-yard games could come to an end. Especially if he's questionable to play on Sunday, Jeffery isn't very attractive at a high daily price.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery sits Thursday

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 11:21:16 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) was out of practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) tweaked the groin in practice yesterday and could be a question mark against the St. Louis Rams this weekend.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery posts 151 yards

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 21:51:31 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery posted 10 receptions for 151 yards in the Week 9 game against the San Diego Chargers Monday, Nov. 9. He was targeted 16 times.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) is finally 100 percent healthy, and he picked up the slack without Eddie Royal in the lineup. That's three straight games with 116 or more yards and a total of two touchdowns in the past three games. He is a must-have in FantasyScore.

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 16:28:29 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery posted 10 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings. He was targeted 15 times.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) looks as healthy as he has been in a while and you can fully trust him in FantasyScore going forward. He's back.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) had eight catches for 147 yards and a touchdown in a 37-34 win over the Chicago Bears in week 6.

Fantasy Tip: In his first action since the opener, Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) showed no signs of rust, and he should put up big numbers as the No. 1 target in Chicago's passing attack as long as he is healthy. Start him with confidence at FantasyScore moving forward.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) and Royal ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) should be the starting wide receivers for the team this week. Both players are risky options since they are coming off injuries, but Jeffery could be a starting option since he should be the top target in the passing game. Royal could be a flex option but will look some targets with Jeffery back.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery should be on the field

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 07:17:13 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is expected to play in the Week 6 game against the Detroit Lions even though he is listed as questionable.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has missed the last several games because of the injury but appears ready to play again. Jeffery will be a risky option for owners since he is coming back from a hamstring injury but does have a favorable matchup against the Lions.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal questionable

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 11:43:13 -0700

Chicago Bears WRs Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (ankle) were both limited in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and are questionable for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions. Jeffery made it through the whole week without a setback after being inactive the last four weeks. Jeffery said his hamstring is feeling much better than it did last week.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) hasn't played since Week 1 and is an incredibly shaky daily pick in Week 6. With Jeffery, Royal and Martellus Bennett questionable, Marquess Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) becomes an excellent sleeper pick on FantasyScore against a Lions defense allowing the eighth-most PPR points (39.9) to receivers per game.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal limited

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 15:00:55 -0700

Chicago Bears WRs Alshon Jeffery (hamstring), and Eddie Royal (ankle) were both limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 15. Jeffery said his hamstring felt "a lot better than last week." He's been inactive for four straight weeks. Royal practiced for the first time since Oct. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Having both Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) and Royal ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) back against the Detroit Lions would be a huge plus for the passing game, but there's no guarantee either will be active or won't be limited if they play, making them pretty risky on FantasyScore, even in a nice matchup.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery limited in practice

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 14:29:15 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is expected to return for just his second game this year against the Detroit Lions this weekend, but it's not a lock. We wouldn't blame you if you choose to wait another week and avoid the risk on FantasyScore despite a fine matchup.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery content in Chicago

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 15:44:14 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery does not want to be traded and is ready to return to the field, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has missed the last four games with a lingering calf issue. If he has a full practice this week that could be a good sign that he'll return to action. The matchup against the Detroit Lions isn't the most favorable, but Jeffery usually receives plenty of opportunities when he's on the field.
