|Bengals | Tyler Eifert unsure of readiness for camp|
Mon, 17 Apr 2017 19:04:14 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) said that while his back "feels great" after offseason surgery, he doesn't know if he'll be ready in time for training camp. "I don't know," Eifert stated. "I'll have to see how I'm feeling and go from there. I've still lost a lot of strength with the nerve issues and all of that stuff. Just working through some of that. Once I get my strength back I'll be fine."
Fantasy Tip: Only about a week ago, it seemed Eifert would indeed be healthy enough by the time training camp rolls around, but now his status looks to be up in the air. It's definitely concerning, considering the 26-year-old missed eight games last season, but hopefully it doesn't affect his status going into Week 1. He's still worth the investment in drafts as a TE1 for his mega potential to lead all players at his position.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert says back feels 'great'|
Mon, 10 Apr 2017 21:46:58 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) said that he continues to get better and his back feels great. "I'll be ready and healthy and strong and be ready to go by the time it's go time," Eifert stated. "I'm close." The 26-year-old added that he doesn't know when he'll be cleared to resume regular workouts, but he did mention he'll be ready for training camp.
Fantasy Tip: It's good to see Eifert is progressing well, as it appears he'll be healthy for the start of the upcoming season, which wasn't the case a year ago, when he missed the first four games of the 2016 campaign. If the four-year veteran can just stay healthy, he has the potential to be arguably the most impactful TE1 in the league. For that type of upside, he's always worth the risk in drafting him.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert has knack for scoring|
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 19:05:13 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Injuries keep derailing Eifert, but when he is on the field, he is a monster in the red zone. Even with the injury risk, he is worth the gamble as a midrange TE1.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert back by camp|
Mon, 02 Jan 2017 08:33:04 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Eifert was productive when he was on the field after ankle surgery kept him out for the start of the season. He's an injury risk, but no doubt he'll be among the midrange TE1 area in next year's drafts.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert undergoes surgery|
Thu, 29 Dec 2016 06:10:04 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Eifert was productive in his injury-shortened season. The back surgery isn't expected to cut into the 2017 season, but his inability to stay healthy gives him some questions as a high-end TE1.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert may need surgery|
Tue, 27 Dec 2016 08:05:11 -0800
Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) had surgery recommended to correct a disc problem in his back, which has become more uncomfortable in recent weeks, according to multiple sources. The 2017 season isn't in jeopardy.
Fantasy Tip: Eifert performed well in spurts, but it was mostly a lost season plagued by injuries. He'll be a high-end tight end to target next season with another caution label.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert placed on IR|
Mon, 26 Dec 2016 11:55:42 -0800
Fantasy Tip: It's not a big surprise when players go to the IR this late in the season with one game left to play. Cody Core played a huge role in the Bengals' offense last week with Eifert out. He should be a factor again in Week 17 for those still in contention and want to replace Eifert.

Cincinnati Bengals OG Clint Boling (shoulder), LB Vontaze Burfict (knee, concussion), QB Jeff Driskel, TE Tyler Eifert (back), WR A.J. Green (hamstring), TE Tyler Kroft (ankle, knee) and CB KeiVarae Russell are inactive for Week 16 against the Houston Texans.

|Bengals | Tyler Eifert will not play Week 16|
Fri, 23 Dec 2016 10:55:45 -0800
Fantasy Tip: It's been a wasted season for Eifert, who missed the first six games of the season recovering from ankle surgery as well as a back injury. Tyler Kroft is also injured, leaving C.J. Uzomah as the last man standing at the position. He won't be worth using in fantasy, however, as the Texans have been stout against tight ends for most of the season.
