Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill making progress

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 21:45:31 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said Monday, Aug. 22, that he is feeling more comfortable every day in the new offense, and he expects the offense will play a lot more fast as the regular season gets closer.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has the chance to really shine in head coach Adam Gase's system, similar to the success we saw the coach have in previous stops in Chicago and Denver. Still, the offense has looked in disarray to this point of the preseason and Tannehill should be treated as a more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill plays well Friday

Fri, 19 Aug 2016 21:00:52 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 12 of his 20 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-14 preseason loss to the Dallas Cowboys Friday, Aug. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has solid weapons around him, but he has yet to show he can be more than a midrange QB2. He is worth owning as a backup, but don't bank on a breakout year.

Dolphins | Miami focused on short passes

Wed, 10 Aug 2016 21:36:06 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is engineering an offense that emphasizes short passes, and head coach Adam Gase said that is the plan. "The whole league is 10 yards and under," Gase said. "That's what it is. Nobody is going down the field. There's one team that does it really, maybe two. Hold onto the ball and they chuck it down the field."

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has been awful throwing the deep ball in his career, but there could be opportunities for it this year. Jarvis Landry developed into a stud receiver, and DeVante Parker ended the season with promise. Their continued development could open things up vertically. Tannehill still has a ways to go before he's a staple in your fantasy lineup, but he's a low-end QB1 with the package around him to succeed.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill works on footwork

Wed, 10 Aug 2016 19:42:33 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has worked a lot on his football during the offseason and in training camp. He'll get his first chance to show any improvement in the preseason opener Friday, Aug. 12, against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill is a low-end QB2 in most fantasy formats, and is likely to only start for fantasy owners in bye week situations or when their primary starter has a difficult matchup.

Dolphins | Miami offense to move quickly

Tue, 05 Jul 2016 16:44:39 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill and the Miami offense plan to move more quickly and get more snaps per game this season. Additionally, offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen said the fastest, quickest way for the Dolphins to improve is on third downs and in the red zone. Miami converted just 30.7% of their third downs last season -- third worst in the NFL. Christensen said the up-tempo style should result in more red-zone snaps.

Fantasy Tip: There are high expectations for the Dolphins' offense in 2016 under new head coach Adam Gase. Tannehill isn't at the QB1 level yet, but he's a high-end fantasy backup. Jarvis Landry is a worthwhile WR1 in PPR formats, while Jay Ajayi is in low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 territory.

Dolphins | Adam Gase pushing Ryan Tannehill

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 19:18:54 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has a new head coach in Adam Gase, and the man in charge is trying to extract more from his signal caller. Gase's approach - besides extremely detailed teaching - also includes pushing Tannehill to his limits but also giving him more freedom than he has ever had. "I put a lot on (Tannehill's) plate. It's almost to the point where it's probably too much this fast. I want to see where the breaking point is. He's been doing a good job of responding," Gase said last week.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has gotten the best out of guys like Jay Cutler and Tim Tebow in previous stops, and now he wants to get Tannehill to obviously reach his potential. With weapons like Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Jordan Cameron and even rookie Leonte Carroo, things are looking up for Tannehill and his fantasy appeal.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill's accuracy needs work

Sat, 18 Jun 2016 17:25:54 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill had had some issues with ball placement and wasn't on the same page as his receivers at times during OTAs, head coach Adam Gase said.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has intriguing upside thanks to his big arm and the weapons around him, but his lack of consistency relegates him to QB2 status.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill stepping up

Thu, 09 Jun 2016 18:35:06 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is stepping up as a leader and pushing the team more this season, C Mike Pouncey said.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has plenty of weapons around him, but he has yet to show he can consistently live up to his potential. Consider him a QB2 heading into 2016.

Dolphins | More freedom for Ryan Tannehill

Thu, 26 May 2016 16:28:12 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said the Dolphins will mix things up in new head coach Adam Gase's offense. Tannehill said there's more variability and versatility under Gase than there was with former offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. Tannehill will also be adjusting more on the fly, whether that's with routes, protection or even just the play in general.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Tannehill can translate his excitement and newfound freedom into success on the field. Even with the offensive optimism in Miami, though, Tannehill is still comfortably in QB2 territory.

Dolphins | Mike Pouncey talks up O-line

Sat, 21 May 2016 17:06:38 -0700

Miami Dolphins C Mike Pouncey said he is excited to play for offensive line coach Chris Foerster, and he said Miami's offensive line "better be" the best it has been since QB Ryan Tannehill entered the NFL in 2012.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill receives Manning tutelage

Mon, 09 May 2016 06:17:44 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has received instruction from retired QB Peyton Manning this spring.

"It was really cool just to be able to sit and pick his brain about things he's done in this offense and football things in general: snap counts, things you like, the way you want guys to run routes, little details about the game," Tannehill said. "We really just got to talk the game, which is something we both love."

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has thrown for more yards each of the last three years, and he enters a crucial fifth year in his career. He has struggled with the deep ball, which has kept him from being more than a low-end QB1. He should enter the discussion in the midrange of the QB1 cast on draft day.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill impressing head coach

Fri, 29 Apr 2016 17:56:34 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has impressed head coach Adam Gase so far in this young offseason. "I didn't realize how live his arm is," Gase said. "The more I watch him throw, it's effortless. That ball travels down the field pretty good. He's hit some big plays, just underneath having some touch; it's been good to see things live."

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has received his fair share of criticism over the last few years for underperforming. The news is promising thus far, but we'll see how he looks when the game matters. He has played better as his career has progressed, but he's not quite considered a consistent starting fantasy quarterback just yet.

Dolphins | Miami not ruling out QB

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 09:57:00 -0700

The Miami Dolphins said they could still draft a quarterback this year despite head coach Adam Gase being committed to QB Ryan Tannehill as the starting quarterback. "We added (Zach) Dysert, Logan Thomas, Ryan. But if the right opportunity in the draft presented for a quarterback we're not going to rule that out. We want to have as much strength and flexibility in the draft (as possible) and that's something Adam, Chris (Grier) and I talk about 25 times a day. In fact I think Adam, starts rolling his eyes when I start saying it. There's a lot more work to be done at every position," executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill was stuck in neutral last year despite throwing for more than 4,000 yards for the second straight year. Improved offensive line play and having Gase tutor Tannehill could lead to a breakout season for the Miami QB, though. Draft Tannehill as a low-end QB1 with upside for more in 2016.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill feeling confident

Tue, 22 Mar 2016 10:24:03 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said he's "happy" and "excited" that new head coach Adam Gase has his back in the offense. "(Gase) has made it abundantly clear to me that we're on the same team," Tannehill said. "He has my back and just to have that reassurance, that confidence in me, it's huge." Tannehill never had the option to audible plays at the line of scrimmage under previous head coaches, but things will change under Gase.

Fantasy Tip: Allowing more freedom for Tannehill could be just what he needs to step his game to the next level. Gase has been known as somewhat of a QB guru, so his attachment to Tannehill should make fantasy owners optimistic that Tannehill can become a legitimate QB1 in 2016. Draft him as more of a low-end QB1, though, to be safe.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill feels 100%

Mon, 21 Mar 2016 14:19:22 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill took some time off after the season ended and feels 100% healthy after being sacked 45 times in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has now had back-to-back seasons of 4,000-plus yards through the air. The knock on him has been his inability to stretch the field and make big plays down the field, and he'll need better protection in order to take the next step. There remains intrigue and upside, though, especially under new head coach Adam Gase. Draft Tannehill has a low-end QB1 or high-end backup.

Dolphins | Greg Jennings talks Ryan Tannehill

Wed, 17 Feb 2016 13:46:04 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is far from an elite NFL quarterback in the eyes of WR Greg Jennings.

"We don't know who Ryan Tannehill is, but we want him to be this great guy, this great quarterback, this franchise quarterback, but no one has given him the freedom, the luxury, to call plays, make checks, to do the things that a great quarterback will have the opportunity to do," Jennings said. "This is no knock on Ryan. This is not Ryan's choice. He wants to be free," Jennings added. "He wants to have that freedom, that liberty at the line of scrimmage, as most quarterbacks do. When you show your quarterback that you trust him, you give him freedom." "It's like he's being handcuffed. I've played with Brett [Favre], I've played with Aaron [Rodgers]. I've played with great quarterbacks. So you can sense, you can quickly tell if one has [greatness] or not."

Fantasy Tip: Jennings has a point with the lack of freedom Tannehill has. He has shown potential in his young career so far, but has yet to prove himself as one of the better quarterbacks in the league. Jennings probably won't be returning to Miami, which may give him more courage to voice his opinions on the matter. Tannehill shouldn't be at the top of your fantasy quarterback priority list, but he's still a fringe QB1.

Dolphins | Tannehill most-sacked QB since 2012

Fri, 05 Feb 2016 12:04:16 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill was sacked 45 times in 2015 and has absorbed 184 over his four-year career, the most in the NFL over that time.

Fantasy Tip: Much of the blame belongs on the coaching instability in Miami, something the Dolphins hope they fixed with new head coach Adam Gase. Assuming Miami can address its underachieving offensive line in free agency and the draft, Tannehill is a prime bounce-back candidate next season under Gase, who worked wonders for Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears last year. As such, Tannehill warrants consideration as a low-end QB1 in 2016.

Dolphins | Job security for Ryan Tannehill

Sun, 31 Jan 2016 11:25:21 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill won't have any competition at quarterback this offseason, according to executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum. Tannenbaum is convinced Miami can win with Tannehill and does not feel compelled to draft a quarterback to compete with him.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill played well in 2015, and he has increased his passing yardage every season, throwing for 4,208 yards last year in addition to 24 touchdowns. With Tannehill's own talent and the talent surrounding him, there's no reason to think he can't finish as a fringe QB1 next season.

Dolphins | Miami to have up-tempo offense

Fri, 29 Jan 2016 07:48:44 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill will run an offense under new offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen that resembles what QB Peyton Manning ran with the Indianapolis Colts. "The attraction to this job is I really enjoyed those years in Indy where we were aggressive, we were no-huddle, the players had fun," Christensen said. "I would say this is the way I'd like to play. We did it an awful lot of years in Indy and it's kind of fun. There's always something new. It's wide open and you spread them out and you pop some runs in there. I like this style of play."

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill will be a consideration in the low-end QB1 range in drafts.

Dolphins | Adam Gase likes Ryan Tannehill

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 18:41:46 -0800

Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said he believes he can limit the number of sacks QB Ryan Tannehill takes and help him improve. "I feel pretty good about what we can do with him," Gase said Thursday, Jan. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has been sacked more than any other quarterback in the league since being drafted in 2012, but Gase could help in that area. Gase was the offensive coordinator for Chicago last year, and Jay Cutler was sacked nine fewer times than the previous season. Tannehill still has potential, and he could be worth a look as a low-end QB1 in 2016.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill probable for Week 17

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 13:57:26 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (thigh, knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and he is probable for the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) has averaged just 217 passing yards over his past four games while throwing only two touchdowns during the stretch. There is potential at FantasyScore given his low cap hit, however, Tannehill cannot be started with confidence given his recent form.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill takes part in practice

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 16:45:41 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (thigh, knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) should be able to play against the New England Patriots in Week 17 despite the injury. Tannehill has only two touchdowns in his last four games and is not a strong starting option in any league.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill fully practices

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 15:21:53 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (thigh, knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) is considered day-to-day, but head coach Dan Campbell said he should be ready to play this week. That being said, Tannehill has been abysmal the last two weeks. He hasn't even thrown a touchdown the last two games, and has only thrown two touchdowns the last four weeks. He's not a viable starting fantasy quarterback for Week 17.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill day-to-day

Mon, 28 Dec 2015 12:31:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Dan Campbell, but Campbell said Tannehill should be ready to play in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill and the Dolphins face the New England Patriots this week, who have been one of the better fantasy defenses against quarterbacks this season. Furthermore, Tannehill has only thrown two touchdowns in his last four games, and hasn't thrown any scores in his last two games. He's not a viable starting fantasy quarterback for Week 17.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill has 300-yard day

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 14:58:14 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Ryan Tannehill threw 26 of 38 for 329 yards and no touchdowns in an 18-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) was limping around after the game, so stay tuned to see what happens with him in Week 17. The likelihood is he will play, but there are more effective options out there.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill has mediocre outing

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 19:17:22 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 20 of his 34 pass attempts for 216 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers. He also ran three times for four yards and a score.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has faced some juicy fantasy matchups over the past couple of weeks but he hasn't been able to take advantage. Fantasy owners simply cannot trust him or most Dolphins.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill so-so on Monday

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 22:27:56 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 25 of his 41 pass attempts for 236 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants. He also had four runs for 24 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill had it working with Jarvis Landry, and the run game was good in the first half, but the Miami quarterback likely needs at least one more NFL caliber receiver to help out. Rishard Matthews was inactive Monday and that certainly didn't help matters.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill has awful game

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 22:53:51 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed just nine of his 19 pass attempts for 86 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He also ran once for 11 yards.

Fantasy Tip: It was a terrible game against a Baltimore pass defense which has allowed 22 passing touchdowns and only four interceptions through 12 games. He simply cannot be trusted for fantasy purposes going forward.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill struggling

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 09:53:04 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has a completion percentage just above 60% in the last five games.

Fantasy Tip: Despite how bad Tannehill has been of late, he faces a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13, which should make him an under-the-radar option on FantasyScore if you want to save money for other positions.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill throws for 351 yards

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 16:47:04 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 33 of 58 passes for 351 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 38-20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill padded his numbers in the second half after the game was well out of hand, but he has now thrown multiple scores in three straight games. His performances have rarely been pretty, but the final results have been respectable.

Dolphins | Rough Week 12 for Ryan Tannehill?

Sat, 28 Nov 2015 17:36:57 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill faces the New York Jets in Week 12, and Tannehill has six touchdowns and eight interceptions in seven career starts against the Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) has been tough to trust at FantasyScore, and he needs to be avoided all together against the a stout Jets defense that has always given him trouble.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill went 13-for-24 for 188 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has played well over the last several weeks and has four touchdowns in his last two games. He will be facing the New York Jets in Week 12 and may not be the best option for owners to consider.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill has trouble with fumbles

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 14:03:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill threw for 309 yards but fumbled twice Sunday, Nov. 8, in a 33-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He also let a snap go through his fingers for a safety.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) only missed on nine of his passes, but it's the other statistics that counted more Sunday. The running game accounted for the touchdowns, so this could be one of those games that spells trouble especially if the Dolphins keep losing from here.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill likes throwing to left

Thu, 29 Oct 2015 12:36:14 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is perfect throwing to his left in the last two games, which includes going 7-for-7 on throws at least 10 yards downfield. In all, he's 21-for-21 for 365 yards and three touchdowns going to his left in the last two contests.

Fantasy Tip: The perfection going to his left is unlikely to continue against the New England Patriots tonight, but Tannehill ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) has a good chance of continuing his momentum against them. The Pats allow the fifth-most fantasy points to QBs this season, and the Dolphins will likely have to pass frequently to keep up with New England.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill posted a perfect pass rating against the Houston Texans in Week 7, completing 18 of 19 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) is thriving in two games since interim head coach Dan Campbell took over, tossing six touchdowns and completing 83.3% of his passes. After a rough start, Tannehill once again deserves consideration at FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill unhappy with teammates

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 16:38:10 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill was unhappy with some of his defensive teammates during practice last week because they were going after the ball during a drill when the defense was supposed to avoid making plays on the ball. Tannehill went after CB Tony Lippett after Lippett intercepted a pass during the drill, which angered some of the other defensive players. Tannehill's future with the team may be in question since the team has opportunities to release him after the 2016 season because of clauses he has the contract he signed this past offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill has struggled during the early part of the season with five interceptions in his last two games. He has thrown six touchdowns in the last three weeks but is completing only 56.7% of his passes. Owners probably should look for other options to use in their lineup most weeks.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 19 of his 44 pass attempts for 198 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 4 game against the New York Jets. He also ran once for four yards.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) heads into the bye with work to do, and it's uncertain if the team will make a coaching change or not. Either way, it's a good idea to avoid Tannehill until he and the Miami offense show a little more consistency.

Dolphins | Rough outing on tap for Ryan Tannehill?

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 18:53:38 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill faces the New York Jets in Week 4, and the Jets are allowing the fourth fewest passing yards this year and have allowed just three touchdown passes in three games.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) hasn't lived up to the hype this season, and he is unlikely to have a breakthrough against the Jets. Avoid him at FantasyScore this weekend.

Dolphins | Pressure coming for Ryan Tannehill

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 15:13:33 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has been sacked 23 times against the Buffalo Bills in the last three seasons, which is second only to the New England Patriots (25 sacks in six games). Tannehill has 1,028 passing yards and nine touchdowns against the Bills in six games and has completed 56.5% of his passes, though. He respects the Bills' defensive front and expects to be under pressure for much of the day in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Aside from the heavy sack total, Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has been decent against the Bills in his career. This Buffalo defense is perhaps their best, though, but they're also giving up the most passing yards per contest in the first two weeks. Tannehill could be a successful contrarian play on FantasyScore this weekend if you don't mind taking on some risk.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill should start

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 15:00:37 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle, back) was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 25, but is probable for Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: A back injury was added for Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) Friday, but it apparently isn't serious enough to keep him out Sunday. It's a tough matchup for Miami, but believe it or not, Buffalo is allowing a league-high 346 passing yards per game after two weeks. If Miami struggles to run the ball, Tannehill could surprise with a big game, but it's a considerable risk on FantasyScore.

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 16:50:57 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) doesn't have the best matchup against the Buffalo Bills this week, but he has played well in his first two games. That being said, this may be the week to hold off on Tannehill on FantasyScore and look for better matchups at quarterback.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill hasn't thrown an interception in his last 150 attempts dating back to last December.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills, but he's a midrange option on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill practices in full

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 15:24:56 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) should be fine for the Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills. Tannehill has played well over the first two games of the season but is facing a solid defense and owners may want to look at other starting options.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill turns in solid stat line

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 20:16:02 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 30 of his 44 pass attempts for 359 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Oddly enough, he also led the team in rushing with 17 yards on three rushes.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) picked up the pace after a lackluster Week 1 stat line. He remains a top-notch FantasyScore option. Even though the Buffalo Bills were trampled in Week 2, Tannehill's matchup against the Bills in Week 3 is not exactly positive.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill hobbled

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 19:26:25 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is dealing with a right ankle injury but said he'll be fine.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) certainly didn't look slowed in Week 2 after throwing for 359 yards and two scores, but his ankle is something to watch moving forward. The Week 3 matchup against the Buffalo Bills isn't ideal considering Miami's offense hasn't looked great yet, but Tannehill could be a nice contrarian play if they are forced to pass often against a tough run defense.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is considered the "go-to receiver" for QB Ryan Tannehill, according to beat writer Armando Salguero.

Fantasy Tip: Landry posted 84 receptions as a rookie in 2014, and he could be even better in 2015. FantasyScore players and those in formats which reward points per reception (PPR) will fall in love with Landry this season.

Dolphins | Mixed results for Ryan Tannehill

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 11 of his 17 passes for 102 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during a scrimmage Friday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill is a popular breakout candidate in 2015, and while he could certainly finish as a mid-range QB1, he isn't a sure-fire option by any means.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill airing it out

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 06:45:33 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has connected on a lot of deep passes in the first week of training camp. Beat writer Barry Jackson tweeted that he has never seen Tannehill as consistent with his deep ball before.

Fantasy Tip: That was one of the knocks on Tannehill, but he appears to be making strides with the deep ball. You may have to be aggressive and take him atop the low-end QB1 tier to get him this season.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill feeling comfortable

Wed, 05 Aug 2015 12:20:04 -0700

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said he is feeling more comfortable during training camp than he has in the past. "I feel a lot more comfortable, making quicker decisions, knowing exactly where to put the ball versus certain looks in these newer routes, that were new last year," Tannehill said.

Fantasy Tip: Tannehill is looking to improve on his stats from last season and will have a solid receiving corps to work with this season. Owners could consider Tannehill as a low-end No. 1 quarterback or a solid backup as the position.
