Giants | Rueben Randle wants to stay

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 14:29:45 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, said he wants to return to the Giants and "loves" playing for them. Randle ranks second on the team with seven touchdowns this year but has had an up-and-down career in New York.

Fantasy Tip: A lot will depend on how Randle's fantasy value shakes out if he returns to New York. Will Tom Coughlin remain as head coach? If he leaves, what kind of system will the Giants employ. Stay tuned.

Giants | Rueben Randle posts 80 yards, TD

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 21:27:16 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had just two receptions for 80 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown, in the Week 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Tip: Randle had the big play in a New York offense missing Odell Beckham Jr., but it was a touchdown well after the game was decided. Randle will be back to being second fiddle to ODB in the regular season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Giants | Rueben Randle finds end zone

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 22:30:39 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle racked up five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins Monday, Dec. 14. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Odell Beckham Jr. stole the show in prime time, but Randle had a respectable stat line for his fantasy owners, too. Things will slow down for the New York offense in Week 15 when the unbeaten Carolina Panthers pay a visit.

Giants | Rueben Randle frustrated by role

Tue, 08 Dec 2015 17:32:38 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle admitted his frustration with the Giants' offense Tuesday, Dec. 8. "My opportunities have been cut down a little more," Randle said. "It's definitely frustrating. As a receiver you want to get more involved. It can be kind of tough when the opportunities are limited."

Fantasy Tip: Odell Beckham Jr. is obviously the primary targets in New York's offense. Randle has been playing second fiddle for two years now. Randle ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) has scored twice in the last four weeks, but he's only tallied more than 60 yards twice all season. He shouldn't be started until get can start producing and producing consistently.

Giants | Rueben Randle, Dwayne Harris quieted

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 19:52:19 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle managed just two receptions for 22 yards in the Week 13 game against the New York Jets. He was targeted six times. WR Dwayne Harris had just one grab for eight yards on two targets, while WR Hakeem Nicks converted his only target for seven yards.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has been useful from a fantasy perspective, and Harris has had his moments in deeper leagues. The duo could rebound rather nicely and be strong FantasyScore contrarian plays in Miami in Week 14.

Giants | Rueben Randle not concerned with injury

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 14:09:45 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (ankle) said his ankle remains a little sore but is better than it has been the last couple of weeks. He is confident the injury won't linger for the rest of the season. "Probably one more week," Randle said, "and then after the bye, hopefully, I'll be where I can go out there and play full speed."

Fantasy Tip: Randle caught all five of his targets in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 40 yards and a touchdown. He should continue to be playable for fantasy owners, including on FantasyScore. The New England Patriots also present a top-10 matchup in terms of PPR points allowed per week, too.

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 11:49:33 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) is officially active for the Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) should see his usual playing time against the Buccaneers and likely will be targeted several times. He has posted solid numbers this season and could be a cheaper receiver option for owners on FantasyScore.

Thu, 05 Nov 2015 14:58:26 -0800

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9, but he hasn't produced much in recent weeks. He shouldn't be completely ignored, though, and is worth a look on FantasyScore at $4,800 (9.6% of cap).

Giants | Rueben Randle, Victor Cruz absent

Wed, 04 Nov 2015 14:06:06 -0800

New York Giants WRs Rueben Randle (hamstring) and Victor Cruz (calf) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Randle tweaked his hamstring last week and Cruz has been hampered all season. Cruz is more likely to sit than Randle, but if both sit, Dwayne Harris would make for a great play on FantasyScore at just $2,000 (4.0% of cap).

Wed, 04 Nov 2015 11:39:21 -0800

Updating an earlier report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) tweaked his hamstring Sunday, Nov. 1, against the New Orleans Saints. "It's OK, a little sore," Randle said. He expects to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) is a mediocre flex option on FantasyScore if he goes.

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 19:08:33 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had five receptions for 55 yards in the Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints, but he was held out of the end zone in the 52-49 loss.

Fantasy Tip: It was a huge disappointment for Randle's ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) FantasyScore owners, as there were six touchdowns passes and none to their guy.

Thu, 22 Oct 2015 11:27:25 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 22.

Giants | Rueben Randle limited

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 14:50:00 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has posted decent numbers in the last few games and should continue to see additional playing time with Victor Cruz out of the lineup. Randle could be a starting option on FantasyScore, but owners could look for other options to use.

Giants | Rueben Randle not completely healthy

Mon, 19 Oct 2015 13:32:44 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) will be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Oct. 19, but is not completely recovered from his hamstring injury.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) may be limited because of the injury as well as the colder weather expected during the game. Randle could still be a fine starting option because there is a chance he sees his normal number of targets.

Sat, 17 Oct 2015 09:54:51 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 17, and is listed as probable for the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) likely will be on the field and could have a big role if Odell Beckham Jr. is not able to play. Randle should be a solid starting option for owners since the Eagles rank in the top five in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers this season.

Giants | Rueben Randle limited Friday

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 13:58:49 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has a solid chance to play in the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and could be the No. 1 receiver if Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) is not able to play. Randle has scored one touchdown in two of the last three games but has posted more than 42 yards in only one of five games this season. Randle could still be a solid starting option since the Eagles rank in the top five in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 08:28:18 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) will be a full participant in practice Friday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has a solid matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. He's a midrange flex consideration on FantasyScore.

Giants | Rueben Randle says he's fine

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 15:41:32 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring), who was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday, Oct. 15, said he's fine and expects to play in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Oct. 19. Randle went through individual drills in the portion open to the media.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) could become even more valuable in daily fantasy if Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is forced to sit out. But with the game being Monday night, both receivers carry a heavy amount of risk this week.

Giants | Rueben Randle will practice Thursday

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 08:12:54 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) will return to practice Thursday, Oct. 15, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) will be relied upon against the Philadelphia Eagles due to the litany of injuries at the position. He's a low-end flex option on FantasyScore.

Giants | Philly to try to limit Eli Manning

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 14:58:42 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles will try to limit New York Giants QB Eli Manning on 'X' plays - passes longer than 20 yards - in Week 6 Monday, Oct. 19. The Giants thrive on the long ball, and Manning often goes deep to WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle. Beckham caught 12 passes for 185 yards in the second meeting between these two teams last year.

Fantasy Tip: A lot will depend on whether Beckham and Randle even play in this one on Monday night. If one or both sits, Manning ($7,400, 14.8% of cap) could have a tough time of it and might not be worth his FantasyScore price. If both play, Manning won't be a bad value pick against a defense that allows 23.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Giants | Shane Vereen could have bigger role

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 07:02:44 -0700

New York Giants RB Shane Vereen could have a bigger role in the passing game if WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) or WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) are unable to go Monday, Oct. 19, against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Vereen ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) could be a nice flex play on FantasyScore this week.

Giants | Rueben Randle has hamstring injury

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 11:21:45 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has been a bit inconsistent this season but has seen regular targets each week. His status for Week 6 will not be known until later in the week, so owners should keep an eye out on the situation.

Giants | Rueben Randle getting treatment

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 20:14:33 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (leg) left the Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers due to an issue with his right leg. The training staff is giving him treatment on the sideline.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) would have been in line to see more targets and a bigger role with Odell Beckham Jr. on the sidelines with a hamstring issue, but now Randle is hurt, too. Geremy Davis ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Dwayne Harris ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) might have bigger roles going forward if one or both are forced to miss time.

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 16:43:54 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is obviously second fiddle to Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,300, 16.6% of cap), but he is still a decent WR3 or flex FantasyScore option most weeks.

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle appears to be locked in as the No. 2 wide receiver for the immediate future with WR Victor Cruz (calf, knee) suffering a setback Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) will remain in line for a healthy amount of targets at a cut-rate price in FantasyScore.

Giants | Rueben Randle shines in win

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 20:59:43 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle caught seven passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in a 32-21 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) had four catches for 28 yards combined in the first two games of the year, but he exploded Thursday. Consistency has always been an issue for Randle, and he will likely turn in another quiet performance in Week 4 against a stout Buffalo Bills defense.

Giants | Eli Manning looking for Rueben Randle

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 10:35:44 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle will be a point of emphasis downfield, according to QB Eli Manning. "We've got to do a good job of getting Rueben involved some more, get him some catches," Manning said. "He's got to be a weapon for us."

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has been a non-factor with four catches for 28 yards. Let them get him involved before considering him on FantasyScore.

Giants | Rueben Randle expected to play slot

Tue, 22 Sep 2015 11:24:41 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle expects to serve as the slot receiver in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins Thursday, Sept. 24, after the team released WR Preston Parker.

Fantasy Tip: With Victor Cruz likely out again and Parker out of the picture, Randle ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has a better chance to return significant value for FantasyScore gamers in a flex spot as a sleeper this Thursday. Dwayne Harris ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could also make some noise in an increased role.

Giants | N.Y. to air it out more often

Wed, 16 Sep 2015 17:08:39 -0700

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin would like to see his offense air it out more after they were held in check in Week 1 by the Dallas Cowboys. QB Eli Manning's longest pass play was for 22 yards, and WR Odell Beckham Jr. was held to just five catches for 44 yards. The Giants' offense had 289 total yards. The Cowboys played their safeties deep after Beckham torched them in 2014. WR Rueben Randle finished with just three catches for 23 yards. Coughlin wants Manning to air it out more often in the home opener in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Victor Cruz will remain out again for the Giants in Week 2, meaning more pressure will stay on the shoulders of Beckham ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) and Randle ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) to produce as the top wideouts. We'd expect a much better performance from Beckham in Week 2, but the Falcons dialed up plenty of pressure in their opener and could be another tough matchup for the Giants offense.

Giants | Rueben Randle does very little

Sun, 13 Sep 2015 22:37:15 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle posted just three catches for 23 yards in the Week 1 loss against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) had a poor night despite the absence of Victor Cruz. Still, he could be a decent low-end FantasyScore play heading into Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Giants | Rueben Randle is solid SNF value

Sun, 13 Sep 2015 16:20:06 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle will start opposite WR Odell Beckham Jr. for the Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) will be a strong FantasyScore option since he should see plenty of targets at a cut-rate price, at least until Victor Cruz (knee) is ready to return.

Giants | Rueben Randle may be more involved

Sat, 12 Sep 2015 06:58:17 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle could receive more targets against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 because of the injury to WR Victor Cruz (calf).

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) should see significant playing time in the game because of Cruz's injury and probably will have a solid role in the passing game. He could be a cheaper option for FantasyScore owners to consider since the Giants will have opportunities to score.

Giants | Rueben Randle doing drills

Tue, 25 Aug 2015 12:15:24 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) participated in individual drills Tuesday, Aug. 25. Randle is dealing with knee tendinitis and did not play in Week 2 of the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: It's still unclear if Randle will be available for the regular season opener in a few weeks. If he's not able to participate in team drills, he may not be able to play this weekend. Stay tuned to his status, but he's not worth drafting as more than a WR4 right now.

Giants | Rueben Randle not playing

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 12:06:57 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) is among the players that will be sidelined Saturday, Aug. 22, against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: This shouldn't be a big surprise as Randle has not practiced for a while. It doesn't make sense for Randle to rush back from a knee injury right before the regular season. He still has a few weeks to reach full health. If he can play a full season, he could reach WR4 territory.

Giants | Rueben Randle not practicing again

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 14:23:21 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) missed practice again Thursday, Aug. 20, with knee tendinitis.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has not been able to practice for over a week now, and it's unclear if he'll be able to play Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The knee tendinitis seems to be doing a decent number on Randle, but it's still unclear if he'll have to miss any time during the regular season. If he's healthy enough to start Week 1, he should still be looked at in WR4-WR5 territory.

Giants | Rueben Randle may sit a few days

Sun, 16 Aug 2015 07:37:13 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) could miss a few days of practice so he can allow his knee to heal. Randle tried to play in the first preseason games but left early because of knee tendonitis.

Fantasy Tip: Randle is familiar with the offense, so he does not need to rush back from his injury. Randle should have a solid role in the passing game this season and could be a late-round option in most leagues.

Sat, 15 Aug 2015 11:00:25 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) limped off the field after three plays during the Giants' first preseason game Friday, Aug. 14. Randle has been dealing with knee tendinitis.

Fantasy Tip: Randle later said that the tendinitis is not a big deal. Randle will be the Giants' No. 3 receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz, not to mention Larry Donnell and Shane Vereen also receiving targets. Randle is a prospective WR4.

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Aug. 12, with knee tendonitis but could still play in the first preseason game Friday, Aug. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Randle should figure into the offense enough to warrant a low-end WR4 grab in drafts. He has impressed this offseason.

Giants | Rueben Randle has tendinitis

Tue, 11 Aug 2015 14:59:41 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (knee) has been dealing with knee tendinitis. It is unclear how severe the tendinitis is or if Randle will miss any time.

Fantasy Tip: The Giants may want to rest Randle for at least the first preseason game. He's expected to be New York's third option at wide receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz. Randle posted career highs last year with 71 catches and 938 yards. Beckham and Cruz will dip into his targets a bit this season, though. Consider him a WR5 with WR4 potential.

Giants | Rueben Randle could add to dynamic duo

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 16:14:58 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle could turn the Giants' dynamic duo of WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz into a Big 3 threat at the position in 2015. "Rueben's been working hard," said Giants wide receivers coach Sean Ryan. "He's done everything we've asked of him, whether it was in the spring or now coming back to camp. I feel good moving forward. To me, the past is the past. Lessons have been learned and I expect nothing but the best from him this year," said Ryan.

Fantasy Tip: Randle finished the season with 290 receiving yards in his final two games. Randle finished the 2014 season with three receiving touchdowns and three 100-plus yard games. While he's the clear third option in the Giants' receiving corps, he'll have major FantasyScore upside if either OBJ or Cruz miss time.

Giants | Rueben Randle draws praise

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle was the best receiver on the field by a wide margin during spring practices, in the opinion of beat writer Jordan Ranaan. Randle consistently made catches downfield and in traffic.

Fantasy Tip: Keep in mind Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) and Victor Cruz (knee) weren't on the field. Randle appears to be on the rise and is worth grabbing as a high-end WR4.

Giants | Eli Manning believes in Rueben Randle

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 20:57:45 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle can be a "dominant receiver" and will have a "big year" in 2015, QB Eli Manning said Thursday, June 11.

Fantasy Tip: Randle finished last season with back-to-back 100-yard games, and he ended the year with a career-high 938 receiving yards. However, he will likely be third in the pecking after the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr. and with Victor Cruz returning from injury. Randle is worth grabbing as a WR5, but don't expect him to be the dominant force Manning spoke of.

Giants | NYG receivers catch endorsement

Wed, 20 May 2015 18:18:20 -0700

New York Giants WRs Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle all received strong endorsements from ex-Giants WR Stephen Baker Tuesday, May 19. "I think [the Giants offense] will be a matchup nightmare, and I love the diversity of the receivers," said Baker. "You've got little Cruz, who can shake and bake in the middle, then you've got Beckham on the outside, who's just explosive, and then you have Randle, I consider him a smooth receiver, when he catches a pass, he just looks smooth. I like him as a third down possession-type guy," Baker said.

Fantasy Tip: With the vast majority of fantasy owners enamored by Beckham Jr., Cruz and Randle will be available at huge discounts following disappointing seasons. Beckham Jr. will be drawing the focus of opposing defenses, leaving plenty of room for his fellow wideouts to operate.
