Eagles | Two Eagles on the bubble

Wed, 17 Aug 2016 07:05:12 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle and WR Chris Givens have failed to impress, and they could fail to make the team.

Fantasy Tip: Both were back-end considerations, but Randle was expected to be a PPR option as a possession receiver. They could still make the team and could still become fantasy factors, but the upside is minimal right now.

Eagles | Rueben Randle's 'embarrassing' effort

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 10:13:45 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle's performance in Philadelphia's first preseason game, Thursday, Aug. 11, was described as an "embarrassment" by PhillyVoice.com's Jimmy Kempski. He noted Randle's poor route-running and blocking efforts. Kempski said, "QBs can't possibly want him on the field." Randle played 28 offensive snaps, hauling in one of his three targets for just three yards.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has gained a reputation for lackluster effort through the years, and his Week 1 preseason showing did not do him any favors. The free-agent acquisition was drawing praise just a week ago in camp, which makes this news all the more troubling. He is, at best, a late-round fantasy flier.

Eagles | Coach impressed with Rueben Randle

Fri, 05 Aug 2016 14:50:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle has been one of the more impressive players during training camp, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: Randle appears to have a decent chance to not only make the team but win one of the starting receiver jobs if he continues to perform during the preseason. He probably should be selected in the late rounds of drafts and can be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver for owners.

Eagles | Rueben Randle leaves practice

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 09:27:56 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (cramps) left practice early Saturday, July 30, because he was dealing with cramps.

Fantasy Tip: Randle could miss a day or two because of the injury but should be find moving forward. He has a good chance to be No. 2 wide receiver for the Eagles this season and could be a late-round option in most fantasy leagues.

Eagles | Rueben Randle the No. 2 receiver?

Sun, 10 Jul 2016 10:42:19 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is listed as the No. 2 wide receiver behind WR Jordan Matthews, with WR Nelson Agholor listed as the No. 3 receiver, according to NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks.

Fantasy Tip: Agholor has had a tumultuous offseason on and off the field, so Randle being dubbed the No. 2 wide receiver here isn't shocking. If Agholor can get his act together he could definitely end up as the No. 2 receiver, though. For now, Agholor should be taken as a WR4, while Randle is best drafted as a WR5.

Eagles | Sam Bradford working out with teammates

Wed, 06 Jul 2016 15:30:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is working out with several of his teammates in San Diego leading up to training camp. QBs Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz, RB Darren Sproles, WRs Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, T.J. Graham and Rueben Randle and TE Zach Ertz are among the players participating in the workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford is trying to build chemistry with his receivers so they can start the season off strong. Bradford should only be considered as a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues. Matthews and Ertz will be among the leaders in targets for the Eagles this season and likely will be selected in the middle rounds of drafts. Sproles should have a role in the running and passing game in 2016 and could be a late-round option who will have more value in point-per-reception leagues. Huff and Randle are only late-round options in deeper leagues.

Eagles | Rueben Randle in lead for WR3

Tue, 14 Jun 2016 05:46:05 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is in the early lead for the Eagles' third receiver spot over WR Chris Givens and WR Josh Huff.

Fantasy Tip: Randle isn't a prototypical slot receiver, and Jordan Matthews figures to play the slot most of the time anyway. Randle is a possession guy that could play quite a bit on the outside. He's a WR4 with upside in fantasy. Givens and Huff are afterthoughts unless an injury occurs.

Eagles | Chris Givens holding his own

Sun, 12 Jun 2016 11:58:46 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Chris Givens has put in a solid offseason so far and could challenge WRs Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor and Rueben Randle for playing time, according to CSNPhilly's Dave Zangaro. Givens is known for his deep-threat ability, but Zangaro said Givens has also impressed with his underneath routes so far.

Fantasy Tip: Even with the good offseason he's having, Givens' playing time is not guaranteed. Even when he does play, he is mainly a deep threat. He should only be viewed as a late-round flier in standard leagues.

Eagles | Rueben Randle making impact

Tue, 07 Jun 2016 20:11:50 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is getting a new start after a four-year stay with the New York Giants. The team felt Randle was a loafer and indifferent about football, running poor routes and being late for meetings. It led to benchings during his tenure, despite obvious talent. So far, so good in Philadelphia, as head coach Doug Pederson has liked what he has seen. "(Rueben) has really made an impact this spring," Pederson said. "He's a guy that's a big, tall, sort of a smooth receiver that understands what we're asking him to do."

Fantasy Tip: Randle could be a big-time sleeper, and he'll get a crack at the Giants twice per season to prove them wrong. With Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor ahead of him, Randle is likely to be slotted as the No. 3 receiver in Philly. He could have an impact from a fantasy perspective, but he'll need a nice training camp and preseason. Many look good with no pads in the spring.

Eagles | Rueben Randle out a couple weeks

Wed, 25 May 2016 12:48:52 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (gallbladder) is fine, according to a source, but he is extremely sore and will be out two to three weeks while he recovers from having his gallbladder removed, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has an opportunity to be the No. 2 wide receiver for the Eagles this year behind Jordan Matthews. Nelson Agholor will be right there, too, though. Randle will need to prove himself on a new team and in a new offense. He's worth a look as a low-end WR4 or WR5.

Eagles | Rueben Randle has surgery

Tue, 24 May 2016 07:47:03 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (gallbladder) is out of practice Tuesday, May 24, due to a recent gallbladder surgery.

Fantasy Tip: It's unknown how serious the procedure was or how long he's slated to miss. Randle is a WR4 consideration at full strength, but check back for updates.

Eagles | Rueben Randle terms

Wed, 06 Apr 2016 06:47:38 -0700

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle's one-year deal is worth $1.025 million with $500,000 of his $1 million salary guaranteed. He can earn up to $2 million in incentives and has a $25,000 workout bonus.

Fantasy Tip: Randle could jump up to the second receiver spot opposite of Jordan Matthews, but he doesn't figure to have as much upside in the Eagles' offense as he did with the New York Giants last season. Randle is in the WR4 range in fantasy.

Eagles | Rueben Randle wants to start

Fri, 01 Apr 2016 14:18:25 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is confident that he'll start in his first season with the Eagles this year. Randle said he's familiar with Philadelphia after playing against them for several years and he's excited to showcase his opportunities.

Fantasy Tip: Randle does have a good opportunity to start in a relatively shallow wide receiver corps. Jordan Matthews remains the No. 1 receiving option for the Eagles, and we still don't know how the pieces will fall into place on offense. Don't view Randle as more than a low-end WR4 to high-end WR5 for now.

Eagles | Rueben Randle financials

Wed, 23 Mar 2016 14:22:55 -0700

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle's one-year deal is worth more than $3 million, including $500,000 guaranteed.

Fantasy Tip: As stated earlier, Randle is just one piece in a crowded Eagles wide receiver corps. Finishing as a WR4 isn't out of the question, though.

Eagles | Rueben Randle agrees to deal with Eagles

Wed, 23 Mar 2016 14:13:43 -0700

Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Giants) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles are suddenly pretty stacked at wide receiver with Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Chris Givens, Josh Huff and now Randle. Randle may not see as much playing time as he did in New York, but he's still in the WR4 conversation.

Rams | Rueben Randle visits Los Angeles

Mon, 14 Mar 2016 20:16:35 -0700

Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Giants) visited with the Los Angeles Rams Monday, March 14.

Fantasy Tip: Randle could give the team a solid set of hands behind Tavon Austin, if they liked what they saw in his visit. He would be worth a look in the later rounds on draft day if he lands with the Rams, as he could have a fairly large role.

Rams | Rueben Randle meeting with Rams

Mon, 14 Mar 2016 10:59:08 -0700

Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Giants) is scheduled to meet with the Los Angeles Rams, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Randle probably would have a good chance to be a top three receiver if he decides to sign with the Rams. He finished the 2015 season with 797 yards and eight touchdowns. Randle could be a late-round option in deeper leagues if he signs with Los Angeles.

Giants | Rueben Randle not expected back

Mon, 22 Feb 2016 06:53:56 -0800

New York Giants impending free-agent WR Rueben Randle has about a 15% chance of re-signing with the club, in the opinion of The Star-Ledger's Jordan Raanan. Randle had 71 catches for 938 yards and three touchdowns in 2015. Of the 22 receivers targeted 125 times last season, Randle had the fewest yards and only one receiver had fewer touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Randle could land in an offense that will feature him more in the red zone, but he had a ton of opportunities last year. His upside as a WR3 is lacking because of that.

Giants | Rueben Randle wants to stay

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 14:29:45 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, said he wants to return to the Giants and "loves" playing for them. Randle ranks second on the team with seven touchdowns this year but has had an up-and-down career in New York.

Fantasy Tip: A lot will depend on how Randle's fantasy value shakes out if he returns to New York. Will Tom Coughlin remain as head coach? If he leaves, what kind of system will the Giants employ. Stay tuned.

Giants | Rueben Randle posts 80 yards, TD

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 21:27:16 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had just two receptions for 80 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown, in the Week 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Tip: Randle had the big play in a New York offense missing Odell Beckham Jr., but it was a touchdown well after the game was decided. Randle will be back to being second fiddle to ODB in the regular season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Giants | Rueben Randle finds end zone

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 22:30:39 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle racked up five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins Monday, Dec. 14. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Odell Beckham Jr. stole the show in prime time, but Randle had a respectable stat line for his fantasy owners, too. Things will slow down for the New York offense in Week 15 when the unbeaten Carolina Panthers pay a visit.

Giants | Rueben Randle frustrated by role

Tue, 08 Dec 2015 17:32:38 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle admitted his frustration with the Giants' offense Tuesday, Dec. 8. "My opportunities have been cut down a little more," Randle said. "It's definitely frustrating. As a receiver you want to get more involved. It can be kind of tough when the opportunities are limited."

Fantasy Tip: Odell Beckham Jr. is obviously the primary targets in New York's offense. Randle has been playing second fiddle for two years now. Randle ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) has scored twice in the last four weeks, but he's only tallied more than 60 yards twice all season. He shouldn't be started until get can start producing and producing consistently.

Giants | Rueben Randle, Dwayne Harris quieted

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 19:52:19 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle managed just two receptions for 22 yards in the Week 13 game against the New York Jets. He was targeted six times. WR Dwayne Harris had just one grab for eight yards on two targets, while WR Hakeem Nicks converted his only target for seven yards.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has been useful from a fantasy perspective, and Harris has had his moments in deeper leagues. The duo could rebound rather nicely and be strong FantasyScore contrarian plays in Miami in Week 14.

Giants | Rueben Randle not concerned with injury

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 14:09:45 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (ankle) said his ankle remains a little sore but is better than it has been the last couple of weeks. He is confident the injury won't linger for the rest of the season. "Probably one more week," Randle said, "and then after the bye, hopefully, I'll be where I can go out there and play full speed."

Fantasy Tip: Randle caught all five of his targets in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 40 yards and a touchdown. He should continue to be playable for fantasy owners, including on FantasyScore. The New England Patriots also present a top-10 matchup in terms of PPR points allowed per week, too.

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 11:49:33 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) is officially active for the Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) should see his usual playing time against the Buccaneers and likely will be targeted several times. He has posted solid numbers this season and could be a cheaper receiver option for owners on FantasyScore.

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 07:01:23 -0800

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) is expected to play in the Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even though he is listed as questionable.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) should see his normal workload during the game and be targeted in the passing game several times. Randle has posted solid numbers over the last few games and could be a starting option for owners in most leagues.

Thu, 05 Nov 2015 14:58:26 -0800

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9, but he hasn't produced much in recent weeks. He shouldn't be completely ignored, though, and is worth a look on FantasyScore at $4,800 (9.6% of cap).

Giants | Rueben Randle, Victor Cruz absent

Wed, 04 Nov 2015 14:06:06 -0800

New York Giants WRs Rueben Randle (hamstring) and Victor Cruz (calf) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Randle tweaked his hamstring last week and Cruz has been hampered all season. Cruz is more likely to sit than Randle, but if both sit, Dwayne Harris would make for a great play on FantasyScore at just $2,000 (4.0% of cap).

Wed, 04 Nov 2015 11:39:21 -0800

Updating an earlier report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) tweaked his hamstring Sunday, Nov. 1, against the New Orleans Saints. "It's OK, a little sore," Randle said. He expects to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) is a mediocre flex option on FantasyScore if he goes.

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had five receptions for 55 yards in the Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints, but he was held out of the end zone in the 52-49 loss.

Fantasy Tip: It was a huge disappointment for Randle's ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) FantasyScore owners, as there were six touchdowns passes and none to their guy.

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 14:50:00 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has posted decent numbers in the last few games and should continue to see additional playing time with Victor Cruz out of the lineup. Randle could be a starting option on FantasyScore, but owners could look for other options to use.

Mon, 19 Oct 2015 13:32:44 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) will be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Oct. 19, but is not completely recovered from his hamstring injury.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) may be limited because of the injury as well as the colder weather expected during the game. Randle could still be a fine starting option because there is a chance he sees his normal number of targets.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) likely will be on the field and could have a big role if Odell Beckham Jr. is not able to play. Randle should be a solid starting option for owners since the Eagles rank in the top five in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers this season.

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 13:58:49 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has a solid chance to play in the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and could be the No. 1 receiver if Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) is not able to play. Randle has scored one touchdown in two of the last three games but has posted more than 42 yards in only one of five games this season. Randle could still be a solid starting option since the Eagles rank in the top five in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.

Giants | Rueben Randle says he's fine

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) could become even more valuable in daily fantasy if Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is forced to sit out. But with the game being Monday night, both receivers carry a heavy amount of risk this week.

Giants | Philly to try to limit Eli Manning

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 14:58:42 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles will try to limit New York Giants QB Eli Manning on 'X' plays - passes longer than 20 yards - in Week 6 Monday, Oct. 19. The Giants thrive on the long ball, and Manning often goes deep to WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle. Beckham caught 12 passes for 185 yards in the second meeting between these two teams last year.

Fantasy Tip: A lot will depend on whether Beckham and Randle even play in this one on Monday night. If one or both sits, Manning ($7,400, 14.8% of cap) could have a tough time of it and might not be worth his FantasyScore price. If both play, Manning won't be a bad value pick against a defense that allows 23.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 11:21:45 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

Fantasy Tip: Randle has been a bit inconsistent this season but has seen regular targets each week. His status for Week 6 will not be known until later in the week, so owners should keep an eye out on the situation.

Giants | Rueben Randle getting treatment

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 20:14:33 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (leg) left the Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers due to an issue with his right leg. The training staff is giving him treatment on the sideline.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) would have been in line to see more targets and a bigger role with Odell Beckham Jr. on the sidelines with a hamstring issue, but now Randle is hurt, too. Geremy Davis ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Dwayne Harris ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) might have bigger roles going forward if one or both are forced to miss time.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is obviously second fiddle to Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,300, 16.6% of cap), but he is still a decent WR3 or flex FantasyScore option most weeks.

Giants | Rueben Randle shines in win

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 20:59:43 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle caught seven passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in a 32-21 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) had four catches for 28 yards combined in the first two games of the year, but he exploded Thursday. Consistency has always been an issue for Randle, and he will likely turn in another quiet performance in Week 4 against a stout Buffalo Bills defense.

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 10:35:44 -0700

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle will be a point of emphasis downfield, according to QB Eli Manning. "We've got to do a good job of getting Rueben involved some more, get him some catches," Manning said. "He's got to be a weapon for us."

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has been a non-factor with four catches for 28 yards. Let them get him involved before considering him on FantasyScore.
