Arizona Cardinals FS Tyrann Mathieu (knee) played for the first time in Week 2 against the New York Giants since suffering two torn knee ligaments last December. He was used in limited packages against the Giants when the team used seven defensive backs. Mathieu finished the game with one tackle.

Last month, the team believed Mathieu would begin the year on the Physically Unable to Perform list. "He has been a gym rat," Keim said. "He's in here all the time.
