Buccaneers | Doug Martin carries load

Sun, 28 Sep 2014 15:32:37 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (knee) was active in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he led the team with 14 carries, 40 yards and a touchdown. He also hauled in two passes for 16 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Martin looked fine, although it was tough sledding against a decent rush defense. It appears he is ready to resume his status as No. 1 tailback in Tampa, and he is once again a solid RB2 or flex play in most fantasy leagues.

Buccaneers | Doug Martin expects to play

Thu, 25 Sep 2014 11:17:33 -0700

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (knee) said he expects to return in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. "The knee's coming along just fine," Martin said. "Full go in practice, and I expect to play in this upcoming game." RB Bobby Rainey started in the backfield for the two games that Martin missed.

Fantasy Tip: Martin could be a bargain at $5,900 (11.8% of cap) in his first game back at FantasyScore, but he remains a risk. How much will he split with Bobby Rainey if he's not back to full strength?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (knee) said he back to full strength and he is anxious to get back on the football field and prove he is an impact player.

Buccaneers | Doug Martin not expected to be involved

Thu, 18 Sep 2014 13:34:49 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (knee) may not be active in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Sept. 18. If he is active, he's not expected to be involved much in the game plan.

Fantasy Tip: If you needed something else to persuade you not to put Martin in your lineup, this is it. Bobby Rainey should see a heavy workload, and his price at FantasyScore ($4,700) is worth considering.
