Colts | T.Y. Hilton bothered by sore hamstring

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 07:39:06 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) continues to be bothered by a sore hamstring, which he suffered in the preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Fantasy Tip: Despite this minor setback, the 26-year-old Hilton should have a solid year, especially if Andrew Luck remains under center for the entire season. View him as a high-end WR2 in traditional fantasy leagues.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton owning Colts camp

Thu, 11 Aug 2016 09:39:57 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton has been arguably the best player on the field in training camp, according to Colts QB Andrew Luck. The quarterback noted Hilton's impressive consistency.

Fantasy Tip: A healthy Luck will do wonders for a bounce-back effort by Hilton. Consider the speedy receiver a strong secondary option for rosters this draft season.

Colts | Indianapolis using three receiver sets

Thu, 28 Jul 2016 20:15:00 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton, WR Donte Moncrief and WR Phillip Dorsett have been part of the three-receiver lineup implemented by offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski in the first two days of training camp. Under former offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, Indianapolis primarily used two-tight end sets.

Fantasy Tip: The big winner is Dorsett, who should be on the field enough to approach WR4 territory.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton probable for Week 17

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 15:08:55 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) fully practiced Friday, Jan. 1, and is probable for the Week 17 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: At best, Hilton ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is a contrarian flier at FantasyScore in Week 17. The Colts are down to their third-string quarterback, and it hasn't been announced who will start yet. At his cap hit, you should aim for more stability than Hilton in daily contests.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton limited again

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 12:16:10 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton's ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) injury isn't serious, and he should be fine for Week 17. However, one of Josh Freeman, Ryan Lindley or Stephen Morris will be throwing him passes in the season finale, making him one to leave off your daily rosters in Week 17.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton a limited participant

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 16:05:36 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Anyone in the Colts' passing game poses a risk this week with Josh Freeman or Ryan Lindley starting. Hilton does have a good matchup against the Tennessee Titans, but Freeman and Lindley only signed with the Colts this week and have no chemistry with Hilton and Indy's receivers. Invest at your own risk.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton wants deeper plays

Tue, 22 Dec 2015 17:05:30 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said a lack of downfield play is hurting the offense. "Not being able to take shots down the field, it really hurts all the receivers because the defense is just sitting at the sticks," Hilton said. "Once we start taking shots [downfield] we loosen [the defense] up and [it] opens up the run and pass game."

Fantasy Tip: The Colts aren't as effective on offense with Andrew Luck, and their offense has been more conservative since Matt Hasselbeck has taken over. Hilton ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) is playing his best when he's able to be a threat downfield, but he hasn't been able to be that lately. There's still some risk with him as long as Hasselbeck is starting, but he's not a terrible play this week against the Miami Dolphins.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton excels against Houston

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 14:38:19 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton has been very good against the Houston Texans in seven career games. He has 40 catches on 62 targets for 749 yards and six touchdowns and faces them again in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) didn't find the end zone against Houston earlier this year but did manage five catches (nine targets) for 88 yards. This time around may be different, with a banged-up Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback against a strong Houston D. Hilton is a bust candidate on FantasyScore.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton has decent day

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 14:49:31 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton caught four passes for 132 yards on Sunday, Dec. 13, as the Colts lost 51-16 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) could be in trouble in the final weeks if QB Matt Hasselbeck has to miss time. Sure, QB Andrew Luck might return but he may not be healthy enough to air out the offense. You may want to stay away from Hilton next week the longer the QB situation is still quite unsettled.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton scores twice

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 14:42:27 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton caught six balls for 95 yards and scored twice in a 25-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has had a decent year with 92 catches and 724 yards, but up to this week he only had one touchdown. Hilton remains a good pickup in FantasyScore thanks to the catches and yardage, but he's not as valuable in scoring or touchdown leagues.
