Colts | T.Y. Hilton struggles against Denver

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 22:31:49 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton had five receptions for 41 yards in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Same stuff, different night for Hilton, whose season totals are only respectable due to three big games -- in the other 11 Hilton has an anemic 29-347-1 line. It's not really his fault as his deep game is a poor fit for a quarterback that's constantly under pressure, but fantasy owners should consider keeping Hilton on the bench at this critical time of year if they can.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held to 20 yards

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 14:23:22 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton caught two passes for 20 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts did not do a lot of throwing during the game because of the snowy conditions, so Hilton did not post good numbers. He should be more successful next week and can be at least a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton gets into the end zone

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 19:15:09 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton finished with three receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton found the end zone for just the fourth time this season, and his 51 yards were more than his past two outings combined. But he has been rather inconsistent this season and should be treated as more of a WR3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 14.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton mostly invisible

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 15:13:57 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton ended up with just two catches for 15 yards on five targets in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Overall his numbers do not look disappointing, but his yardage total is aided by three giant performances with 153 or more receiving yards. A majority of his production came in those three games and the other eight outings he has done very little. Fantasy owners should still rely on him as a WR3 or flex play in Week 13 at Jacksonville, but expect inconsistency.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held in check

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 15:10:35 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton managed just two receptions for 23 yards on four targets in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was outshined in the pass game by Chester Rogers, who had 104 yards and a touchdown, and even Donte Moncrief resurfaced with a 60-yard score. The Colts are off in Week 11.

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 08:53:26 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) is officially active for the team's Week 10 game.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was limited during practice this week but should be the main target in the passing game for the Colts. He will be facing one of the better pass defenses in the NFL this week but can still be a No. 2 or No. 3 fantasy receiver.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton expected to play

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 21:34:11 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: There has been no middle ground for Hilton this year, and he should remain an all-or-nothing WR2 against Pittsburgh.

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 12:56:13 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR Kamar Aiken (hamstring) and LB John Simon (neck) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and have been ruled out for Week 10. WR T.Y. Colts | T.Y. Hilton listed as questionable

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 12:41:06 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye on the situation over the next few days to see if Hilton is in any danger of missing the game. He is coming off a 175-yard performance last week but will be facing one of the pass defenses in the Pittsburgh Steelers. He should still be considered a No. 2 fantasy receiver if he plays.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton limited Thursday

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 14:05:28 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton does play better indoors and the Colts play at home this week, but he could be matched up with Joe Haden. He needs to be started as long as he's playing, but don't expect him to duplicate last week's performance.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton blows up for 175 yards, two TDs

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 15:14:04 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton was good for five receptions for 175 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton opened the scoring with a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and he racked up an 80-yard touchdown in the third quarter for the highlight of the day. He was battling for the ball, caught it, then dove to avoid a defender. He didn't feel he was touched, and ran into the end zone. Replay confirmed he wasn't contacted before going down and the long scoring play stood, much to the happiness of his fantasy owners.

Colts | Indy wants T.Y. Hilton involved

Sat, 04 Nov 2017 19:37:54 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton has caught a total of five passes for 61 yards over the last three games, and QB Jacoby Brissett said they have to find a way to avoid the attention defenses are giving to Hilton.

Fantasy Tip: With Andrew Luck ruled out for the year, Hilton's fantasy owners will have to settle for his boom-or-bust production the rest the of way. Plug him as a WR3 against the Houston Texans in Week 9 and hope he connects on a couple of big plays.

Colts | Coach makes plea for more T.Y. Hilton

Wed, 01 Nov 2017 09:27:05 -0700

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano reiterated his desire to "find ways" to get the ball to WR T.Y. Hilton more often, with the primary focus being figuring out a way to "get him some free access."

Fantasy Tip: This is not the first time we've heard something similar to this from Pagano, and the fact of the matter is this should not still be a problem at this point of the season. Most teams who run into trouble with getting their top receiver some free access find it easier to put that same player into motion, line him up in the slot or use a "bunch" formation to keep him from getting jammed at the line. With six teams on bye, Hilton is worth starting one more time in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton unlikely to be moved

Mon, 30 Oct 2017 17:41:26 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton is receiving trade interest from several teams, but the Colts likely will not trade him unless they receive a big package in return, in the opinion of ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has been quiet over the last three weeks but still has 527 yards this season playing with backup quarterbacks. He can be a No. 2 fantasy receiver no matter where he plays for the rest of the season.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton manages just two grabs

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 18:18:17 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted just two receptions for 15 yards in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals on seven receptions.

Fantasy Tip: Was it Hilton's final game in an Indianapolis uniform? Per our previous update, the Colts are open to dealing him before Tuesday's trade deadline. However, it might be difficult to move him due to his salary, and Hilton isn't open to renegotiating and wants to stay put. We'll see in the next couple of days where Hilton ends up.

Colts | Indy open to dealing T.Y. Hilton?

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 16:43:26 -0700

The Indianapolis Colts are willing to move WR T.Y. Hilton, multiple sources are reporting Sunday, Oct. 29. However, the team will not just give him away. The receiver also won't be inclined to renegotiate his contract that pays him $8 million this year, $11 million next year, and $13 million in 2019.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton prefers to stay in Indianapolis, but fantasy owners wouldn't mind seeing him go to a contending team with a star quarterback who isn't injured. The trade deadline is set for Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. Stay tuned.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton quiet in Week 7

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 15:47:52 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted two receptions for 27 yards in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Jacoby Brissett looked to Hilton more than any receiver on the team, but the duo just couldn't get it together in a day where the Indianapolis offense was a complete disaster. Hilton will look to rebound in Week 8 against the Bengals, but treat him more as a WR3 in most fantasy formats.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton needs more help from coaches?

Fri, 20 Oct 2017 10:35:37 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton is "one of the best players the NFL" and coaches need to do a better job using the scheme in order to get him the ball more often, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was held to one catch for 19 yards during Week 6 in a plus-matchup against the Tennessee Titans. This week's opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have shut down just about every passing game they have encountered, so it will be interesting to see if the Colts try to force the issue with Hilton. Given the difficult matchup, Hilton is more of a WR3 this week.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held to one catch on MNF

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 21:51:57 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton recorded just one catch from his four targets for a mere 19 yards in the team's Week 6 game Monday, Oct. 16, versus the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Yuck. This was Hilton's worst game of the season, and it was also the third time in six games that he was held under 50 receiving yards. Clearly, the 27-year-old will benefit greatly when Andrew Luck (shoulder) is ready to return, but that could still be several weeks away. In the meantime, Hilton has become a boom-or-bust WR2 with Jacoby Brissett under center.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton manages 177 yards

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 19:36:06 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted seven receptions for a game-high 177 yards on nine targets in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has jelled rather nicely with Jacoby Brissett, posting 153 or more yards in two of his past three outings while totaling 17 receptions over his past three games. The Redskins have a so-so passing defense, so Hilton could have another big game in Week 6 in D.C.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held mostly in check

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 21:10:32 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted three grabs for 30 yards on six targets in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton's line was exact to teammate Donte Moncrief except for his counterpart also scored a touchdown. The receivers have struggled a bit with Jacoby Brissett under center, and he'll be the starter for at least one more game. Andrew Luck is due back "sometime in October", according to published reports. Good times might be coming in Week 5, however, as the Colts face a favorable matchup against the 49ers and their leaky pass defense.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton goes off in Week 3 win

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:09:38 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton racked up seven receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in the Week 3 win against Cleveland.

Fantasy Tip: The highlight of the day was a 61-yard scoring connection with Jacoby Brissett in the second quarter. While this was great for fantasy owners, expect Hilton to take a step back in Week 4 at Seattle against a much better defense.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held to three catches

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 19:24:35 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton caught three passes on seven targets for 57 yards in a 46-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was the victim of an atrocious outing from quarterback Scott Tolzien, and until Andrew Luck is back under center, Hilton should be downgraded to a WR3.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton practicing

Mon, 28 Aug 2017 08:37:56 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (rest) is back at practice Monday, Aug. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton sat out of the third preseason game, which was likely a rest day. He had a hamstring issue that kept him out of minicamps, but he appears ready to go. He had a career year last year, but it's anyone's guess when Andrew Luck will be ready to play. Hilton is a low-end WR1 on his own merit, but with Luck in limbo, Hilton may fall back to a WR2.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton not sweating Andrew Luck

Sat, 08 Jul 2017 20:55:27 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said he doesn't expect it to take long for he and QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) to find their rhythm. "For him, the main thing is to just get healthy and we'll pick up where we left off," Hilton said. "Two days back-to-back is all we need."

Fantasy Tip: Hilton tends to be overlooked a bit in fantasy circles, but he led the NFL in receiving yards last year and is the go-to target for one of the NFL's best quarterbacks. As long as Luck remains on track for the start of the season, you can feel confident snagging Hilton as a low-end WR1.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton has hamstring strain

Tue, 13 Jun 2017 09:43:18 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is unlikely to do much during the minicamp this week due to a hamstring strain. The injury didn't appear to be a long-term concern.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton is coming off a career year with a 91-1,448-6 line, and he relies on his speed. These things happen, but it's worth keeping in the back of your mind when drafting him as a low-end WR1.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton in rare company

Sat, 27 May 2017 21:40:28 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton's 5,861 receiving yards through his first five seasons rank in the top 10 in NFL history, but Hilton said he is still focused on improving. "Leave no stone unturned," Hilton said. "I work on everything footwork, speed work. Just continue to train everything my hands, eye-hand coordination."

Fantasy Tip: After leading the NFL in receiving yards last season, Hilton doesn't seem to be slowing down. He is Andrew Luck's top target and a WR1 in all fantasy formats.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton makes unusual history

Tue, 10 Jan 2017 20:11:51 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton became the first receiving champion since retired Los Angeles Rams WR Torry Holt in 2000 to lead the NFL in receiving yards and not be voted to one of the two Associated Press All-Pro teams. Hilton led the league this season with 1,448 receiving yards.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the snub, Hilton still enjoyed a terrific campaign in 2016, as he also recorded 91 receptions and six touchdowns. Without question, the 27-year-old will be one of the first receivers taken off the board next season and will enter the new year as a desirable WR1.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton posts career high

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 17:34:45 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted six receptions for 95 yards on 12 targets in the Week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and is the first Colts player to win the receiving title since Reggie Wayne in 2007.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton finished with career highs in receptions (91) and receiving yardage (1,448), and he has found the end zone at least five times in each of his first five NFL seasons. He'll be a solid WR1 again in all fantasy leagues in 2017.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton hits century mark

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 19:53:47 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted four receptions for 105 yards on nine targets in the Week 16 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton is finishing up strong, posting three 100-yard games over the past four outings. Win or lose for his real team, Hilton is a top-notch receiver and fantasy option.

Colts | Subpar performance for T.Y. Hilton

Sun, 18 Dec 2016 18:17:27 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted three receptions for 45 yards in the Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was targeted a team-high seven times.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton had his worst performance since a 20-yard effort in Week 8. He has just two touchdowns over the past seven games, but he is still a useful WR2 in most fantasy formats. He had 18 receptions and 261 yards in the previous two games before laying this egg.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton records full practice

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 12:38:30 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) logged a full practice Friday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has been playing with this current back ailment for awhile now, but it still hasn't stopped him from posting his usual strong performances on a weekly basis. As is always the case, he'll be a WR1, even in an undesirable matchup opposite the Vikings.

Colts | No practice for T.Y. Hilton

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 14:53:02 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Fantasy Tip: It's never good when a player appears on the injury report after not being listed the previous day. Hilton has seen his fair share of injuries this year, but he has still produced. Unfortunately, the Minnesota Vikings boast one of the NFL's best secondaries. The bottom line is that Hilton's status will need to be monitored over the next few days before a decision can be made on whether or not to start him.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton has very productive day

Sun, 11 Dec 2016 21:47:47 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton posted nine receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in the Week 14 game against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton had a strong stat line, particularly for those in fantasy formats rewarding points per reception (PPR). He has back-to-back 100-yard games for the first time this season, and he has visited the end zone twice in the past four games. Hilton also has nine receptions in each of his past two outings. He remains a solid WR2 in all fantasy formats.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton doesn't practice Friday

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 13:35:08 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Hmm, this seems to have come out of nowhere, as Hilton looked just fine on Monday night en route to posting a nine-reception, 146-yard effort opposite the Jets. It could be the Colts simply giving their star receiver a breather, though it is curious he wasn't labeled with the "rest" tag if that's the case. Well, Hilton isn't being considered questionable or anything on the official injury report, so owners should expect him to be out there come Sunday. Hopefully he's not playing at less than 100 percent.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton busy in MNF win

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 21:18:55 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) posted nine receptions for 146 yards on 10 targets in the Week 13 game against the New York Jets Monday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was obviously not bothered by the back injury which had him listed as questionable. It was his first 100-yard game since Week 7 in Tennessee. While he has just one score over the past five games, he remains a must-start fantasy option in all leagues.

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 16:15:03 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) is officially active for the team's Week 13 game.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton was not able to finish the last game because of the injury but should see his normal workload against the New York Jets. He should be considered a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton questionable for Week 13

Sat, 03 Dec 2016 12:32:46 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) fully participated in practice Saturday, Dec. 3, but is listed as questionable for Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton should be able to play after practicing in full in each of the last two days, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. He will be a risky option because of the injury but can be a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver with Andrew Luck back in the lineup.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton back at full practice

Fri, 02 Dec 2016 13:20:21 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) returned to a full practice Friday, Dec. 2, putting him on track to play in Week 13 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Back injuries are always a bit scary and unpredictable, but his ability to practice without limitations bodes well for his Week 13 fantasy stock. Hilton and Donte Moncrief should have their way against an overmatched New York secondary on Monday night, especially since the Jets figure to keep Frank Gore in check.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton held out

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 20:29:57 -0800

Colts | T.Y. Hilton practicing

Wed, 30 Nov 2016 09:55:50 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) returned to practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton out of practice

Mon, 28 Nov 2016 08:14:29 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) is out of practice Monday, Nov. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has been either really good or fairly solid much of the season with peaks and valleys. He should be able to go against the New York Jets and is a solid WR2.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) won't return against the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday, Nov. 24, after aggravating a back injury.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton briefly returned, but he eventually headed back to the sidelines for good. If he misses time going forward, Phillip Dorsett would become an interesting waiver add.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton was told Andrew Luck won't play

Tue, 22 Nov 2016 15:53:05 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said the team learned in a meeting that QB Andrew Luck (concussion) "would not play" Thursday, Nov. 24, against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: It hasn't been officially declared just yet but an announcement seems inevitable at this point that Luck won't be suiting up in Week 12. With Scott Tolzien likely to start under center, the entire Colts offense will be downgraded as a result, which is just unfortunate at such a crucial juncture in the fantasy season. Additionally, the Steelers defense will receive a big boost with Luck out, as they figure to be one the top streaming options for the upcoming slate.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton targeted eight times

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 21:08:07 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) was able to shake off a hamstring injury to play in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. He pulled down six balls for 82 yards on eight targets.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has been a bit erratic lately, and his poor game last week can be attributed to his hamstring issue. He remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues when healthy despite some uneven performances this season.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton not on injury report

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 14:30:28 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton will be a risky option for owners this week because of his hamstring injury but should have a solid role in the passing game. Hilton can be a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver in all leagues unless he suffers a setback.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton cleared to play

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 12:11:39 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is a "go" for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton could see slightly lower ownership than usual in DFS due to the injury and his Week 8 totals (one catch for 20 yards), but this is a prime matchup for him given the (lack of) health in Green Bay's secondary and the Packers' stellar run defense. He's worthy of a start in all formats again this week.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton has full practice

Thu, 03 Nov 2016 13:15:12 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton catapulted from not practicing to fully practicing in one day. He appears to be fine for a potential aerial assault between the Colts and Green Bay Packers. Any doubt involving Hilton's availability has subsided. He's easily a WR1 against Green Bay's banged up secondary.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton on the field

Thu, 03 Nov 2016 10:20:10 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has said he is not sure about his status for Week 9, but it appears like he has made progress in his recovery. He should be a No. 1 receiver if he is active this week, but owners will need a backup plan ready if he suffers a setback.
