Jets | Jermaine Kearse off the injury report

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 15:15:44 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 29, and he is off the injury report for the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Kearse appears to be fine for the regular season finale, but remember he has Bryce Petty under center and not Josh McCown. The receiver is best used as a WR4 or flex fantasy option heading into the finale.

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 14:36:43 -0800

Shell is out for Week 17 against the New England Patriots, while ASJ is doubtful and Forte is listed as questionable. DE Kony Ealy (knee) and RB Akeem Judd (ankle) were listed as a limited participants and they're also questionable. Jets | Jermaine Kearse misses practice again

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 15:52:52 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Kearse has been one of the few constants in the Jets offense but it looks like he won't be able to participate in New England on Sunday for the season finale. If he's not active, it'll be another solid reason to deploy his teammate Robby Anderson, who would probably garner a ton of targets as a result.

Jets | Jermaine Kearse does not practice

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 15:45:35 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Kearse is in any danger of missing Week 17. He has been targeted at least six times in six of the last seven games but has posted at least 50 yards in only two of those games. Owners probably should look for other option for their lineups.

Jets | Jermaine Kearse posts 42 yards

Sun, 24 Dec 2017 14:56:01 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse caught five passes for 42 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Kearse has been mostly quiet since his back-to-back 100-yard performances a few weeks back. He still has been targeted at least six times in six of the last seven games but probably can be avoided in most leagues next week against the New England Patriots.

Jets | Jermaine Kearse does very little

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 18:01:17 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse posted just three grabs for 28 yards on five targets in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Tip: Kearse was unable to generate much offense, as he and Bryce Petty are not nearly on the same page like he and Josh McCown were in recent weeks. Kearse should be downgraded to WR5 status heading into Week 16 against the Chargers in a difficult matchup.

Jets | Jermaine Kearse good to go Sunday

Fri, 15 Dec 2017 13:37:13 -0800

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) was able to practice in full for a third straight day Friday, Dec. 15, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game with the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Tip: Kearse has revived his career in recent weeks with the Jets, putting up solid numbers for a WR3 or flex option. However, he will now be catching passes from the untested Bryce Petty, as Josh McCown (hand) is done, so there might be a learning curve and a decrease in production down the stretch.
