Fantasy Tip: Bullock made five of his six field goal attempts with the Bengals in 2016 but is no lock for the roster. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues even if he wins the job.

Steelers | Randy Bullock signed

Sat, 03 Dec 2016 10:16:41 -0800

Free-agent PK Randy Bullock (Giants) signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Dec. 3, to serve as insurance in case PK Chris Boswell (abdomen) is forced to miss Week 13 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Boswell has been a suspect fantasy choice much of the season, and there is a reason Bullock has been surfing the waiver wire for the last three months. There is little reason to chance it with only two teams on bye weeks.

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 14:12:22 -0700

Free-agent PK Randy Bullock (Jets) will sign with the New York Giants, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Bullock will be the kicker for at least Week 1 since Josh Brown is suspended, but it is not known if Bullock will keep the job. The Giants offense should be productive this season, so Bullock could be a starting option in daily fantasy leagues for Week 1.

Giants | New York to try out Randy Bullock

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 11:36:03 -0700

Free-agent PK Randy Bullock (Jets) is scheduled to work out for the New York Giants, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Giants will need a replacement for Josh Brown in Week 1. Bullock would compete with Tom Obarski for Week 1 kicking duties if he is signed. Whether or not he would be kept long term is another matter. Josh Brown should still be the main man after his one-game suspension, though, and is still in PK1 territory.

Free-agent PK Randy Bullock (Texans) will sign with the New York Jets Tuesday, Nov. 10, and will kick in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Nov. 12. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: Bullock made 30 of his 35 field goal attempts with the Houston Texans last year, including four of five from 50 yards and beyond, so he's not a terrible kicking option if you're streaming kickers in traditional leagues.

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 13:39:51 -0800

Free-agent PKs Garrett Hartley (Steelers), Kyle Brindza (Buccaneers) and Randy Bullock (Texans) also worked out for the New York Jets Monday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: With Nick Folk dealing with a quadriceps injury, the Jets may need a new kicker this week. One of Billy Cundiff, Hartley, Brindza and Bullock may be signed this week. Any of them are worth a one-week start, especially for Folk owners.

Wed, 28 Oct 2015 14:36:36 -0700

Free-agent PKs Zach Hocker (Saints) and Randy Bullock (Texans) worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Texans | Houston auditioning kickers

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 05:50:24 -0700

Free-agent PKs Nick Novak (Chargers), Kai Forbath (Redskins), Chris Boswell (Giants), Connor Barth (Buccaneers) and Giorgio Tavecchio (Raiders) are auditioning for the Houston Texans Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to sources. Texans PK Randy Bullock missed a 43-yard field goal and an extra point during the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Bullock is clearly on the hot seat, but the tryout may also just be a means of motivating the incumbent, too. Seasonal players will want to take a wait-and-see approach and stay the course until there is an official announcement. The Texans are averaging two field goal attempts per game through the first three weeks of the season, and the Houston defense projects favorably most weeks, so the job has value, especially in the right matchups.
