He will play in the field for two games. Barring any setbacks, he is expected to come off the 15-day disabled list in time for the game Monday, July 21, against the Miami Marlins.

Atlanta Braves C Evan Gattis (back) warmed up a pitcher between innings Tuesday, July 8. On Wednesday, July 9, he performed running and throwing activities while also running nearly a mile without any problems, according to Gattis. There's no timetable for his return, but manager Fredi Gonzalez said Gattis may be ready for a minoir league rehab assignment immediately following the All-Star break.
Fantasy Tip: Gattis is on track to return before the end of July, so prepare accordingly. Gonzalez already said Christian Bethancourt will return to the minors upon Gattis' activation.
