White Sox | Jimmy Rollins hitting second

Wed, 25 May 2016 09:16:23 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is hitting second Wednesday, May 25, in place of SS Tyler Saladino.

Fantasy Tip: J-Roll is hitting .212 this month and has to face Corey Kluber today. The Klubot isn't dominating the way he has, and Rollins' spot in the order gives him a little luster today.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins takes a seat

Tue, 24 May 2016 14:36:08 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, May 24. SS Tyler Saladino draws the start at the 6 and is hitting ninth against Cleveland Indians SP Josh Tomlin. Also, OF Austin Jackson moves up to the two-hole.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino doesn't have much offensive upside with only five home runs in the last two seasons combined. Look for better options at your shortstop position. Jackson's greatest asset is his speed, but he has only one theft on the season and is hitting .240 with no home runs. The move up the order makes him a potential sleeper target, but don't expect much in return.

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup for the second game of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians Monday, May 23. SS Tyler Saladino will start at shortstop and is batting second against Indians SP Cody Anderson.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins out of the lineup

Sat, 21 May 2016 09:25:34 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Danny Duffy Saturday, May 21. SS Tyler Saladino will start at shortstop and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino will receive his second straight start and has gone 4-for-12 with two RBI in his last seven days. Saladino is a sleeper option in daily fantasy leagues but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins takes a seat

Fri, 20 May 2016 12:29:25 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup Friday, May 20. SS Tyler Saladino is starting at shortstop and is hitting ninth against Kansas City Royals SP Dillon Gee. 1B Jose Abreu is in the two-hole, 3B Todd Frazier is hitting third and OF Melky Cabrera draws a spot in the cleanup role.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino doesn't do much at the plate and his spot at the bottom of the order makes him even less attractive to those in daily games. You can find better options at the 6 on this full slate of games. The other White Sox hitters are all recommended against Gee.

White Sox | No Todd Frazier Tuesday

Tue, 17 May 2016 13:43:53 -0700

Chicago White Sox 3B Todd Frazier is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, May 17. SS Tyler Saladino is starting at third base and is batting ninth against Kansas City Royals SP Dallas Keuchel. OF Avisail Garcia moves up to the cleanup spot.

Fantasy Tip: It's a rest day for the Toddfather. Get him out of your lineups. Saladino is more defensively inclined and is a very weak daily pick tonight, especially hitting at the bottom of the order. Garcia has turned it on of late and is enticing as an under-the-radar daily weapon against the struggling Keuchel.

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup against New York Yankees SP Masahiro Tanaka Sunday, May 15. SS Tyler Saladino will start at shortstop and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino has received limited playing time this month but has gone 5-for-12 with three RBI in three games. Saladino could be an option for desperate owners in daily fantasy leagues.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins has a seat

Wed, 11 May 2016 08:25:53 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is out of the lineup Wednesday, May 11, with SS Tyler Saladino hitting ninth. OF Austin Jackson moved up to hit second.

Fantasy Tip: A-Jax has a .241-0-11 line, and his only value is relegated to AL-only leagues. Saladino is barely hitting above .200 and isn't an option against Cole Hamels in DFS.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins resting Friday

Fri, 06 May 2016 14:09:35 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup Friday, May 6. SS Tyler Saladino takes his place at shortstop and is hitting ninth against Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco. OF Austin Jackson moves into the two-hole as a result.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino's fantasy value is pretty much non-existent with the bat. Avoid him everywhere. Jackson has been quiet, too, hitting only .217 (20-for-92) with no home runs and eight RBI. He gains value tonight, though, with the move up the order and could be a successful sleeper pick in DFS.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Jimmy Rollins out

Sat, 30 Apr 2016 12:42:37 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and SS Jimmy Rollins are not in the starting lineup against Baltimore Orioles SP Kevin Gausman Saturday, April 30. INF Tyler Saladino will bat second and play shortstop, while OF Jerry Sands will bat seventh and serve as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is batting .174 with a home run and three RBI in 24 at-bats, while Sands is 5-for-20 with a home run and three RBI. Both players should be viewed as sources of desperation salary cap relief in daily fantasy games.
