|Twins | Trevor Plouffe returns to action Sunday|
Sun, 26 Jun 2016 08:21:36 -0700
Minnesota Twins INF Trevor Plouffe (groin) is back in the starting lineup versus New York Yankees SP Nathan Eovaldi Sunday, June 26, batting fifth and playing first base. In addition, C Juan Centeno will start behind the plate and hit eighth, while OF Danny Santana starts in center field and bats ninth. 1B Byung-ho Park, C Kurt Suzuki and OF Byron Buxton are receiving the day off.
Fantasy Tip: DFS players may want to wait a game or two before using Plouffe again after he missed several days due to a strained right groin. Centeno and Santana have not been swinging the bat well recently and should be viewed strictly as desperation sources of salary cap relief.

|Twins | Byron Buxton to remain a starter|
Fri, 17 Jun 2016 15:55:23 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Byron Buxton will remain the team's starting center field with OF Danny Santana coming off the disabled list, according to manager Paul Molitor. Santana will play more of a utility role.
Fantasy Tip: Buxton is hitting just over the Mendoza Line at .204, but he's picked things up in June with a .241 average, a home run, five RBI and two steals. His power-speed combination remains valuable in most seasonal leagues. Santana can contribute across the board given an opportunity, but in a utility role he'll be limited to AL-only leagues mainly.

|Twins | Byron Buxton homers|
Tue, 14 Jun 2016 05:19:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buxton is still struggling to fit in as one of the Twins' top prospects, as it is clear the slugger still needs more seasoning. He may be a ways away from stardom in the majors, and his fantasy value is still a ways off as well. Avoid in all formats until Buxton shows some signs of clicking.

|Twins | Byron Buxton talks plate approach|
Mon, 06 Jun 2016 15:16:00 -0700
Minnesota Twins OF Byron Buxton has attempted to cut down his strikeouts by visualizing hitting a one-hop smash toward the second baseman. It is an approach he has used in the past. "It just allows me to get the barrel to the ball," Buxton said, "to make sure I stay through the ball, and it keeps my bat on plane. It allows me not to pop up out of my swing. I've got to stay down through the ball. Everything is starting to slow itself down a little bit more, I'm starting to let the ball travel a little bit and putting the ball in play a little bit more."
Fantasy Tip: Buxton has registered a hit in each of his six games since being recalled from the minors, including multi-hit showings in each of his past three outings. Buxton has high-end potential, and sometime it just clicks. Buxton is worth owning in all fantasy formats, and if it has finally clicked, there is five-category production ahead.

|Twins | Byron Buxton hitting ninth in return|
Tue, 31 May 2016 16:39:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buxton is now a post-hype prospect at this point after failing miserably in the major leagues in parts of two seasons. He's hitting just .195 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 187 plate appearances the last two years. He hasn't been able to translate his success in the minors to the highest level, but his intriguing power-speed combination remains. Give him a shot if he's available in your league. Perhaps the third time around is the charm.

|Twins | Byron Buxton called back up|
Mon, 30 May 2016 16:44:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Danny Santana (hamstring) had to be placed on the disabled list after leaving Monday's game, so the mega prospect will get his second shot this year with the big league club. Although Buxton disappointed mightily the first time around with a poor .156/.208/.289 line, his potential is too monumental to ignore. Owners should be running to the waiver wire for his services in just about all formats.

|Twins | Byron Buxton being promoted?|
Mon, 30 May 2016 15:45:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buxton flamed out with Minnesota earlier this season, but he posted a .333/.402/.605 slash line entering Monday with Rochester. He is an immediate grab in all fantasy formats because of his upside, but don't be surprised if there are some peaks and valleys again in the majors.

|Twins | Byron Buxton returning to action|
Fri, 20 May 2016 21:47:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buxton's performance in the majors to date has disappointed, but he still has all the tools that made him one of the top prospects. Stash him in AL-only formats and hope his next stint with Minnesota proves to be a productive one.

|Twins | Byron Buxton injured in minors|
Thu, 19 May 2016 14:44:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buxton, who came up through the minors as one of baseball's top prospects the last few years, has been a monumental disappointment so far at the major league level. In parts of two seasons with Minnesota, he's hit just .195 with two home runs and four stolen bases. He had been playing well on the farm prior to his injury, and those in deep mixed and AL-leagues should continue to keep a close eye on him for his power/speed combo. It's not out of the question to stash him if you have the room.
