Browns | Josh Gordon likely to be released

Fri, 30 Sep 2016 13:30:37 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is expected to be released shortly in the wake of his announcement Thursday, Sept. 29, that he will an in-patient rehabilitation facility and after head coach Hue Jackson suggested the team was looking to move forward without the troubled receiver. "We wish him well. We need to close that chapter right now. We're moving on," Jackson said Friday, Sept. 30.

Fantasy Tip: It seems hard to believe a single team isn't willing to part with the conditional seventh-rounder to land Gordon, but the Browns may simply want to move on with their rebuilding process as quickly as possible. The supremely talented receiver will almost certainly get another shot, but let's first hope he can get his life in order first. He should be considered out indefinitely.

Browns | Josh Gordon done with the Browns?

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 15:45:34 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's career with the team is "likely over," as he's not expected to receive another shot with this regime.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon has been given several chances in Cleveland to stay out of trouble, but unfortunately, the talented wide-out just hasn't been able to abide. There's no doubt he'd get another shot elsewhere if the Browns do dispose of him, but who knows when that will be with the 25-year-old just checking into rehab. Whenever Gordon is able to emerge from this, he's still capable of being a force again.

Browns | Josh Gordon entering rehab

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 14:42:37 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon announced Thursday, Sept. 29, that he is stepping away from pursuing his return to football in order to enter a rehabilitation facility.

Fantasy Tip: Whether or not Gordon's football career is completely over remains to be seen, but the prospect of him playing in 2016 doesn't sound promising. Terrelle Pryor will continue to be the best fantasy option in Cleveland's passing game with Gordon not returning and has WR2 appeal for the rest of the season. Aside from Pryor, Corey Coleman, when he makes a healthy return, and Gary Barnidge are really the only other startable pass-catchers going forward for the Browns.

Browns | Warrant for Josh Gordon rescinded

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 22:40:32 -0700

An arrest warrant for Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon was withdrawn after the receiver complied with a year-old court order to take a DNA test in a paternity suit. In a statement, Gordon's attorneys said he was unaware until noon Wednesday, Sept. 21, that he had been requested to take the test.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon remains on track for a return from his four-game suspension in Week 5. He might have a little rust initially, but he has WR2 upside if he can get up to speed quickly.

Browns | Josh Gordon on track for Week 5

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 11:27:23 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is still on track to return for the team's Week 5 game even though a warrant has been issued for his arrest stemming from a paternity case, according to an NFL spokesperson.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon should have a role in the passing game when he returns, but he may be a risky option because of his latest off-field incident. Gordon could be a No. 3 receiver in leagues starting Week 5 with a chance to be more valuable depending on his play.

Browns | Josh Gordon makes presence felt

Fri, 26 Aug 2016 21:04:23 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon caught two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in a 30-13 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon reminded fantasy owners of his upside, and he is a high-risk, high-reward option to target in the middle rounds. He could end up providing WR2 numbers for a discounted price.

Browns | Josh Gordon for a second rounder?

Fri, 26 Aug 2016 08:23:52 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon was part of trade discussions, and the package Cleveland sought was a second-round pick and more, according to sources. The team denied listening to offers.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will miss the first four games, but his masterful 2013 season is still fresh in people's minds. The risk and reward is vast, and while it may be tough to do, he's best pegged as a WR3.

Browns | Browns not trying to trade Josh Gordon

Thu, 25 Aug 2016 17:37:25 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon said he wants to stay put, while the team has said there are no plans to trade the 25-year-old wideout. "Listening (to trade offers) is probably a mischaracterization," said Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown. "We've said all we needed to say about it. We're not looking to trade Josh."

Fantasy Tip: It appears unless an offer comes along that completely wows Browns management, Gordon is indeed going nowhere. He's slated to serve a four-game suspension to begin the campaign, but once he's done with that, Gordon will have WR1 potential. At the same time, owners shouldn't be surprised if he ultimately settles in as a solid WR2 due to the rust he'll probably be dealing with after only playing in five games the past two seasons.

Browns | Josh Gordon set to play Friday

Wed, 24 Aug 2016 09:07:31 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday, Aug. 26, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will miss the first four games of the season due to a suspension, but he projects to return to a starting role once eligible in Week 5. He's two years removed from his dominant 2013 campaign, but fantasy owners shouldn't count out WR2 numbers from Gordon once he's back on the field. He's an enticing risk to take in the middle rounds of drafts once you're comfortable with your core selections.

Browns | Teams calling about Josh Gordon

Tue, 23 Aug 2016 05:52:27 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has had multiple teams call the Browns inquiring about his availability, according to sources. A team source said the Browns aren't looking to trade Gordon, and many around the league believe head coach Hue Jackson is the right coach for Gordon to thrive with.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will miss the first four games of the season, but Joe Haden raved about how well Gordon looks in practice as if he hasn't missed a step from a long hiatus. Gordon is a low-end WR2, but he makes a dynamite WR3 as the risk and reward are pretty high.

Browns | Josh Gordon runs with starters

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 06:53:58 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) is running with the first-team offense in practice Monday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will be suspended the first four games of the season, and there's some uncertainty as to how productive he'll be after such a long layoff. He's a boom-or-bust WR2 in fantasy, but you can't go wrong with him as a third receiver.

Browns | Josh Gordon likely to play this week

Mon, 22 Aug 2016 05:24:36 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) is likely to play his first preseason game Friday, Aug. 26. "He still looks the exact same and it's just crazy,'' CB Joe Haden said. "He looks a little bigger. I don't know how that happened, but he's still out there running around, looking the same, running his routes, floating. It still looks effortless.''

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will be suspended the first four games of the season, and there's some uncertainty as to how productive he'll be after such a long layoff. He's a boom-or-bust WR2 in fantasy, but you can't go wrong with him as a third receiver.

Browns | Josh Gordon starting to drop weight

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 18:40:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon was about 10 pounds overweight after missing time with a quadriceps injury, but beat writer Mary Kay Cabot said the weight is already coming off now that he is back practicing.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Gordon can return to the form he showed before his career was derailed by suspensions, but there is no denying the talent. He is worth gambling on in the middle rounds as a WR4.

Browns | Josh Gordon may practice

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 09:37:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) hopefully will be able to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon has been dealing with the injury throughout training camp but appears to be close to returning. He has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season but still has plenty of value in fantasy leagues. He should be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Browns | Josh Gordon unlikely to play

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 11:14:38 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) is not expected to play in the preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Aug. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon has been dealing with a quadriceps injury and only returned to practice earlier in the week, so he probably will need to practice more before playing in a game. Gordon will miss the first four games because of a suspension but should have a decent role when he returns. Gordon has a chance to be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Browns | Josh Gordon limited Monday

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 14:17:13 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) was limited to individual drills during practice Monday, Aug. 15. Head coach Hue Jackson said Gordon likely will not play in the preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Aug. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon will be eased back into practice but should be able to play in the final two preseason games. He is scheduled to miss the first four games of the 2016 season but should be a main part of the passing game when he returns. Owners in most leagues should consider Gordon a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver with upside.

Browns | Josh Gordon should return soon

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 09:16:52 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) is not expected to miss much practice time with a strained quadriceps muscle, according to Browns head coach Hue Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: Strains and dings are to be expected from a player who has been away from the team as much as Gordon. Even with a four-game suspension, he's a high-upside WR3 in fantasy drafts.

Browns | Josh Gordon limited at practice Sunday

Sun, 14 Aug 2016 15:07:56 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) took part in the walkthrough portion of practice Sunday, Aug. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon reported to camp out of shape in the eyes of head coach Hue Jackson and quickly pulled his quad shortly thereafter. The enigmatic playmaker will serve a four-game suspension to begin the season and may be asked to play second fiddle to Corey Coleman in the passing game if the rookie can get off to a good enough start. With Terrelle Pryor also looking like he may be an option in the Browns' run-heavy attack, it seems unlikely Gordon will live up to his sixth-round ADP in PPR formats.

Browns | Josh Gordon needs to shed pounds

Mon, 08 Aug 2016 15:04:20 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) will hopefully return to practice soon, according to head coach Hue Jackson, but Jackson said Gordon would be the first to say he needs to lose some weight.

Fantasy Tip: It's not a big surprise that someone who hasn't played since 2014 isn't in optimal football shape. Gordon still has time to get there, though, and should start opposite Corey Coleman. Shaky quarterback play and a below average offense are certainly risk factors, but the Browns will need to pass a lot this season. Take a shot on Gordon as at least a WR4.

Browns | Josh Gordon to start camp on NFI list

Tue, 26 Jul 2016 13:56:21 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon (quadriceps) will begin training camp on the Non-Football Injury list. He is working out on his own and is expected to miss a couple of weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon has plenty of time to recover and get back into the swings of things, especially considering his four-game suspension. If he doesn't suffer any setbacks with the quad injury, the safe bet will be to look at him in the WR3 range.

Browns | Josh Gordon being reinstated

Mon, 25 Jul 2016 11:03:30 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is being reinstated by the NFL conditionally, according to a source. He will be suspended for the first four games of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon is an elite fantasy receiver when he's on the field. The problem is he's played in only 19 games since 2013 and was suspended all of 2015. He did total 1,646 yards on 87 catches in '13, though, so he certainly has high-end potential. However, don't overvalue Gordon, since he hasn't played in forever and will be in a new system with a new QB. Take him for upside as a WR3.

Browns | Josh Gordon decision not imminent

Fri, 22 Jul 2016 06:15:26 -0700

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has no timetable for a decision on his potential reinstatement, but one source said it isn't expected for at least six weeks.

Fantasy Tip: That would take us very close to the start of the season. Even then, there's no guarantee he would be able to play and contribute immediately. Gordon has WR1 talent, but with the dearth of talent at the position in fantasy, taking him as anything more than a WR3 with a WR4 that has significant upside isn't a shrewd move.

Browns | Josh Gordon meets with commish

Thu, 21 Jul 2016 09:54:26 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon met with commissioner Roger Goodell Wednesday, July 20, regarding his possible return to football, according to sources. Gordon can reapply for reinstatement Aug. 1.

Fantasy Tip: There's still a lot to be determined with Gordon, including how many games he'd have to miss before rejoining the Browns. Stay tuned, but Gordon has elite potential at his position, and we've seen him put up WR1 numbers before with a less-than-ideal situation at quarterback in Cleveland.

Browns | Cleveland would welcome Josh Gordon

Tue, 19 Jul 2016 19:01:58 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon would be welcomed back by the team if he is reinstated after eligible to apply Aug. 1, according to beat writer Mary Kay Cabot. Head coach Hue Jackson has said everyone will begin with a clean slate and that includes Gordon.

Fantasy Tip: If Gordon is able to return, he could be a tremendous fantasy asset. It's uncertain if and when he'll be reinstated, and even when he is it remains to be seen whether he can stay clean or not. He is the definition of a high-risk, high-reward pick.

Browns | Jim Brown talks Josh Gordon's progress

Thu, 02 Jun 2016 12:16:00 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has received help for his off-field issues, according to team official Jim Brown. "His way of expressing himself, the responsibility he was taking made me feel really very motivated about his chance of getting back,'' Brown said.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon can apply to be reinstated from his indefinite suspension Aug. 1, so he remains a viable stash candidate in keeper/dynasty leagues. You'll want to keep your expectations in check, and there are no guarantees Gordon will even be reinstated, but there is plenty of fantasy upside.

Browns | Josh Gordon phased out in Cleveland?

Wed, 11 May 2016 06:56:13 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon may not have a roster spot to return to if he's reinstated after the team drafted four wide receivers in the 2016 NFL Draft. The new regime in the front office has also said that high-character players were something they stressed in the draft.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon is supremely talented, but he has missed 27 of the last 32 games due to suspension. If he's let go, he's sure to find another suitor and be a WR2 option in fantasy with serious risk.

Browns | Josh Gordon's agent confident in return

Fri, 15 Apr 2016 18:19:46 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he is confident that Gordon will play in the NFL this year.

Fantasy Tip: It's not like Rosenhaus was going to say anything to the contrary, and as long as Gordon's status remains in limbo, he is a complete roll-of-the-dice pick.

Browns | Josh Gordon can reapply in August

Wed, 13 Apr 2016 13:37:15 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon will be able to reapply for reinstatement Aug. 1, according to a source. Gordon's application for reinstatement was denied Tuesday, April 12.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon could still be reinstated and join the Browns this season. For now, though, Andrew Hawkins, Brian Hartline and Taylor Gabriel will serve as Robert Griffin III's primary targets. Terrelle Pryor is also an intriguing option. None of them should be viewed as viable starting fantasy wide receivers.

Browns | Josh Gordon's petition denied

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 14:04:36 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's petition for reinstatement from his indefinite drug ban was denied by the NFL, according to a source. Gordon will be able to apply for reinstatement later in the year.

Fantasy Tip: This isn't a big surprise after Gordon failed another drug test last month. For the time being, the Browns are now stuck with Andrew Hawkins, Brian Hartline and Taylor Gabriel as their top wide receivers, although Terrelle Pryor has intriguing upside. Hartline is better suited for standard scoring leagues while Hawkins has more value in PPR formats, but none of Cleveland's receivers are really worth starting. The denial of Gordon also lessens the fantasy value of Robert Griffin III, who is safely in backup fantasy quarterback territory.

Browns | Josh Gordon decision delayed

Tue, 12 Apr 2016 06:22:56 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's potential reinstatement decision has been delayed until the NFL feels more comfortable. He has 60 to 90 days to steer clear of red flags, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: This is actually good news as it sounds like he could be reinstated for the 2016 season if he doesn't have any issues for the next two or three months. He'll be a WR2 consideration if he is reinstated with obvious risks and rewards.

Browns | Josh Gordon fails another test

Mon, 11 Apr 2016 15:54:54 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon failed another drug test last month when the test showed a diluted sample and traces of marijuana, according to sources. Gordon still has a chance to be reinstated since NFL commissioner Roger Goodell can rule on his status at any time.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon's fantasy value will depend on if he will be able to play in 2016. He should be considered a starter in all leagues if he is allowed to play because of his skills. Gordon is a risky option for now because of his uncertain status.

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's reinstatement issue hasn't been decided upon, according to commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell said he'll seek an update next week.

Browns | Cleveland not counting on Josh Gordon

Mon, 21 Mar 2016 10:38:48 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has applied for reinstatement, but the NFL has stated that they will rule on Gordon's status when appropriate. The Browns are not counting on Gordon for the 2016 season because they do not know when he will be reinstated and are not sure of his mental status at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation during the offseason to see if Gordon will be reinstated before the 2016 season. Gordon plays well when he is on the field and could be a middle-round option if he is able to play next season.

Browns | Josh Gordon has worked down weight

Mon, 29 Feb 2016 20:28:53 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon added approximately 30 pounds more than his playing weight, according to S Donte Whitner, but he said the receiver has whipped himself back into shape. Gordon has applied for reinstatement into the NFL and is awaiting word from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon can be a tremendous fantasy asset when he is on the field, and he is a bit of an X factor going into 2016. If he can return to his 2013 form when he had 87 receptions, 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns, he would obviously be an early-round fantasy selection. But you simply cannot risk it early on draft day with his checkered history. He had just 24 grabs before running aground in 2014, and missed the entire 2015 season, so it's been a while since we've seen 'good' Gordon.

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is on the right path, and signs are pointing towards him being reinstated, according to executive vice president Sashi Brown. Brown also said there's a spot on the roster for Gordon "if he's doing the right things."

Updating an ongoing story, Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has a chance to return in 2016 as ESPNCleveland.com's Tony Grossi said that he thinks Gordon will play at some point next season

Browns | Josh Gordon must convince commissioner

Sat, 06 Feb 2016 17:48:07 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon must convince NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell he won't slip up again in the future in order to be reinstated. "Our No. 1 issue here is to prevent these things from happening," Goodell said Friday, Feb. 5. "I'm hopeful that Josh understands that he's going to have to conduct himself differently going forward to be a member of the NFL and to be representing the Cleveland Browns, or any team in the NFL."

Fantasy Tip: Gordon has WR1 upside, but it remains to be seen if he will be reinstated and when a decision will be made. Until his fate is decided, he is a late-round flier in drafts.

Browns | Josh Gordon confident in a return

Sat, 06 Feb 2016 10:35:36 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is confident that he has met the terms of his indefinite suspension in order to be reinstated, according to a source. If Gordon is reinstated, he would revert back to Stage 3 of the NFL's substance abuse policy. He would receive random testing and would still be one more incident away from another indefinite suspension.

Fantasy Tip: If reinstated, Gordon would immediately supplant Travis Benjamin as the Browns' No. 1 wide receiver. Gordon, Benjamin and TE Gary Barnidge would make for a nice pass-catching threesome in Cleveland, but the quarterback situation is currently less than ideal. There's no guarantee that Gordon receives his reinstatement, so continue to track his status throughout the offseason.

Browns | Josh Gordon vows to change

Mon, 01 Feb 2016 13:27:24 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon said he plans to "disassociate" himself from those that could be contributing to keeping him out of the NFL. Gordon has been suspended a year for multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy, and he recently applied for reinstatement. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will make a decision within 60 days of Gordon's application.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard not to envision Cleveland's new management not being on board with Gordon shaping up to play for this football team. He's still only 25 and clearly has the tools to be an elite receiver if he can get his head straight. There's obviously risk involved, but if Gordon is reinstated for next season, he's likely to be a early-round draft pick.

Browns | Cleveland not rushing Manziel decision

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 10:24:07 -0800

The Cleveland Browns are in "no panic" to make a quick decision on the future of QB Johnny Manziel, according to new vice president of football operations Sashi Brown. The Browns will also assess the future of suspended WR Josh Gordon once they know if he'll be reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell.

Fantasy Tip: The overriding belief is that Manziel has no future in Cleveland, and new head coach Hue Jackson isn't believed to be high on him. Time will tell, but Manziel has the physical traits to be successful in the NFL. He could find more success with another organization, and the Dallas Cowboys are rumored to be a possible destination if he becomes available.

Browns | Josh Gordon applies for reinstatement

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 05:10:27 -0800

Gordon's fate will be known within 60 days of the receipt of his application, per rules of the reinstatement process. He is under the Browns' control for 2016. If reinstated, Gordon can become a restricted free-agent in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: It's somewhat hard to believe, but he just turns 25 in April. Gordon could be a WR1 in fantasy if reinstated, and it sounds like they're trying to shore up the locker room around him.

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is eligible to apply for reinstatement Feb. 3, a year after his indefinite drug ban was announced by the National Football League. According to sources Gordon is doing "outstanding."

Fantasy Tip: All indications are the Browns will stick with the talented, yet troubled, wide receiver. If he can return and keep his head on straight he can be one of the biggest playmakers in the league. Fantasy owners will certainly want to tread lightly next summer based on his history, however, and not draft him terribly high in seasonal leagues.

We're going to Vegas on a vacation. We know he can't do certain things, but we had no idea he couldn't have a drink. If I knew he couldn't have a drink, everybody would have tried to it wouldn't have been that. But Josh Gordon is a grown man and sometimes you have to know what decisions you make, but nobody was aware that he couldn't drink," Haden said. Gordon is suspended for a minimum of one full season.

Browns | NFLPA files grievance for Josh Gordon

Tue, 17 Feb 2015 07:34:06 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's one-game suspension late last season prompted the NFLPA to file a non-injury grievance on his behalf Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon is facing a one-year ban for testing positive for alcohol, and his fantasy status is dormant for the 2015 season. He still has dynasty league value due to his tremendous talent, but he's facing an uphill battle to return to the league.

Eagles | Philly rejected trade for Josh Gordon

Mon, 16 Feb 2015 15:27:42 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon was offered to the Philadelphia Eagles at the start of the 2013 season, but the Eagles did not want to trade QB Nick Foles for Gordon, according to a source. The Eagles were concerned about Gordon's two-game suspension, while the Browns wanted Foles to be their starting quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon struggled in the five games he played in this past season after he served his suspension and is in danger of missing the entire 2015 season since he tested positive for alcohol. Owners should monitor Gordon's status during the offseason but should not count on him as a top fantasy receiver. Foles likely will have to compete for the starting job during training camp and should not be seen as a No. 1 fantasy quarterback even if he wins the job.

Browns | Jimmy Haslam supports Josh Gordon

Thu, 12 Feb 2015 11:35:09 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon received support from team owner Jimmy Haslam, in an interview with Cleveland.com, Haslam was critical of Gordon's off-field behavior and hopes Gordon can get proper help during his suspension. When asked if the Browns would cut Gordon, Haslam said they have a year to decide, and the decision would be made "at the proper time."

Fantasy Tip: Provided Gordon is eligible to play in 2016, his physical talent alone keeps in the conversation. Way too much can happen between now and then to properly assess his fantasy value. He is the classic example of a risk-reward draft pick when that time comes.

Browns | Cleveland plans to pursue impact WR

Tue, 03 Feb 2015 18:51:09 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon "no longer factors into any plans," and the team plans to pursue an impact wide receiver via the draft, trade or free agency, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon should be crossed off all draft boards in 2015, and any guy they actually add will have some shaky value because of the uncertainty at the quarterback position in Cleveland.

Browns | Josh Gordon suspended by league

Tue, 03 Feb 2015 15:16:47 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has been suspended without pay for at least a year for violating the league's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Gordon's suspension commences immediately.

Fantasy Tip: You can officially cross Gordon off your draft board for the 2015 season. When he's not having off-field troubles, Gordon is an elite fantasy football wide receiver, as he proved in 2013. It remains to be seen if Gordon will even play football again considering his extensive history of troublemaking.
