Brewers | Khris Davis batting sixth vs. Arizona

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 14:11:12 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is starting in left field and batting sixth against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin Friday, July 24.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has almost been limited to at-bats against southpaws, so his seasonal value has suffered since returning from a knee injury Tuesday, July 7. Gerardo Parra ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) could be dealt, though, so Davis would return to everyday at-bats in that scenario. His power upside is worth stashing in the majority of leagues. FantasyScore players should view him as a high-risk, high-reward option Friday. Davis is just 8-for-47 against lefties this season. Five of the hits have gone for extra bases, though.

Brewers | Gerardo Parra out of the lineup

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 09:25:10 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Gerardo Parra is not in the starting lineup against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Jeff Locke Sunday, July 19. OF Khris Davis will start in left field and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Parra ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) probably is sitting out since the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Davis ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has gone 3-for-13 since returning from his injury and may not be the best option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Brewers | Khris Davis playing left field

Sat, 18 Jul 2015 11:08:55 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis will start in left field and bat sixth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano Saturday, July 18. OF Gerardo Parra is not in the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is 2-for-7 versus Liriano in his career with a double and a home run but is only batting .140 this season against southpaws in 43 at-bats. Avoid using him today in FantasyScore.

Brewers | Khris Davis in leadoff spot

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 12:39:37 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is leading off and playing left field against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brett Anderson Sunday, July 12. OF Gerardo Parra is getting the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is batting leadoff for the first time in his major league career, despite having only seven career steals in 249 games (and none this year). He is hitting just .154 versus southpaws and .177 on the road this season, so he should be avoided in FantasyScore today.

Brewers | Khris Davis out of the lineup

Fri, 10 Jul 2015 15:04:39 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis is not in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers Friday, July 10.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($3,100,6.2% of cap) will likely platoon with Gerardo Parra ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) in left field, while also subbing in for Carlos Gomez ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) and Ryan Braun ($5,100 10.2% of cap) occasionally. Until there is an injury or trade there will be some shuffling in and out of the lineup for all four outfielders. Davis has pop and is worth a look for seasonal teams trailing in the home run column.

Brewers | Khris Davis leaves the yard

Wed, 08 Jul 2015 16:38:46 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during the Brewers 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves Wednesday, July 8.

Fantasy Tip: It was Davis' ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) second game since returning from a knee injury, so his quick success is encouraging. Fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on the Brewers' outfield daily, as they currently boast four quality options. Davis is worth owning in the majority of seasonal leagues, and his FantasyScore cap hit has plenty of profit potential in the right matchups.

Brewers | Khris Davis won't be regular yet

Tue, 07 Jul 2015 18:13:12 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis (knee) is back from the 15-day disabled list, but manager Craig Counsell said OF Gerardo Parra will continue to serve as the regular left fielder. However, there is a good chance Parra could be dealt in the next few weeks and Davis could resume a starting role sooner rather than later.

Fantasy Tip: For now, Davis ($3,100; or 6.2% of cap) is only worth a look in FantasyScore when he finds his way into the lineup, especially against right-handed pitching since he has a .875 OPS vs. RHP.

Brewers | Khris Davis back in lineup

Tue, 07 Jul 2015 16:29:00 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis (knee) was activated from the disabled list Tuesday, July 7, and he is starting in left field and hitting seventh in the order against Atlanta Braves SP Manny Banuelos. OF Gerardo Parra is starting on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Davis' ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is bad news for Parra ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) and his fantasy owners. The two outfielder are likely to enter into some sort of platoon in left field moving forward. Davis was off to a slow start before his injury (.250-5-16), and it makes sense to avoid him in daily games in his first game back.

Brewers | Khris Davis expected to rejoin team Tues.

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 14:53:23 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis (knee) is expected to rejoin the team Tuesday, July 7, according to manager Craig Counsell.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) enters a crowded outfield and red-hot lineup. Initially, he might be the odd man out, but Gerardo Parra ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is also be on the trade block. Check back for an official update, and be ready to check the Brewers lineup daily. Davis has nice power upside, but he is also a career .251 hitter.

Brewers | Khris Davis to return next week

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 15:39:13 -0700

Updating a previous report, Milwaukee Brewers 3B Khris Davis (knee) is expected to be on a rehab assignment for five days, which would allow him to return against the Atlanta Braves Monday, July 6.

Fantasy Tip: Davis' ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) return will spell trouble for Gerardo Parra ($3,800, 7.6% of cap), who could fall into a platoon in left field with the returning Davis. Parra is the one to own for now in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, but keep an eye on Davis if he bounces back after struggling earlier this year.
