Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill could split carries with RB Giovani Bernard this upcoming season and receive over 200 carries, in the opinion of Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.
Fantasy Tip: It appears Hill will have a solid role in the offense even though he will not be a starter. Most owners should view Hill as more of No. 4 running back with upside entering drafts, but Hill will have more value than just a handcuff to Bernard.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is expected to be utilized early and often in 2014. One beat writer expects 230 carries and 70 receptions.
Fantasy Tip: Bernard is a good RB2 in standard formats and could creep into RB1 status in PPR leagues.

Cincinnati Bengals beat writer Geoff Hobson believes Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson wants to have a more ball-possession offense that runs it more but sets up more explosive passes efficiently. That would mean fewer pass plays, but more potential big plays off of play-action.
Fantasy Tip: Giovani Bernard is going to have to prove that he can run the ball effectively 15-20 times in order for the play-action to work. Jeremy Hill will also be a factor in third-and-short situations that could free up A.J. Green and Marvin Jones downfield. Andy Dalton looks to be in optimal fantasy position this year in his contract year as a low-range QB1.

The Cincinnati Bengals are playing with the idea of using RBs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill on the field at the same time. Both running backs have good hands out of the backfield and will present defenses with problems.
Tue, 27 May 2014 07:02:43 -0700
The Cincinnati Bengals like the way RB Jeremy Hill ran against eight- and nine-man boxes in college. He'll complement Giovani Bernard in that regard.
Fantasy Tip: Hill is a nice late-round flier and could make an impact in TD-heavy leagues.
Sat, 24 May 2014 20:33:07 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is expected to see more time in the slot this season following the departure of WR Andrew Hawkins (Browns). Bernard could also be flanked out wide on occasion, tossing a screen to him while pulling a guard or tackle to create a nightmare scenario for a defensive back trying to find the elusive back behind a big body.
Fantasy Tip: Bernard should be a beast in points-per-receptions (PPR) leagues for fantasy owners, and if veteran BenJarvus Green-Ellis is jettisoned, Bernard could flirt with 1,000 rushing yards. He'll be a tremendous RB1 in PPR leagues, and a solid RB2 or flex play in standard formats.
Thu, 22 May 2014 17:40:22 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals running backs coach Kyle Caskey indicated the team would like to get RB Giovani Bernard more involved in the passing game this upcoming season. "We want to do more with him because he can do that," Caskey said. "It's not just put him in the slot. We want him everywhere on the field. Make people guess where's he at. You have to make a decision to either play the run or play the pass. What do you do when he's on the field? He's a lot like [Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush] where you have to be aware at all times."
Fantasy Tip: It appears Bernard will have a big role in the offense in 2014, which will increase his fantasy value. He should be considered a starting running back in all fantasy leagues this upcoming season.
Thu, 22 May 2014 14:38:38 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson wants to implement an up-tempo offense and intends to be heavily committed to the running game to set up the pass. Bengals OT Andrew Whitworth said the team is planning to get as many snaps in as they can.
Fantasy Tip: A more conservative offensive approach will improve the value of Cincy's running backs, with Giovani Bernard standing to have the best fantasy season. BenJarvus Green-Ellis shouldn't be written off just yet, since rookie Jeremy Hill having a fantasy-worthy role isn't a lock. Andy Dalton should become more efficient, but that isn't necessarily a good thing for fantasy value. Ultimately, WR A.J. Green remains the only weapon with consistent appeal.
Mon, 19 May 2014 13:01:21 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard appears to be the favorite for the starting running back job at this point.
Fantasy Tip: Even if Bernard is not the starting running back this season, he will still have fantasy value since he has a big role in the offense. Bernard should be a starting running back in all leagues and likely will be an early round draft choice.
Wed, 05 Mar 2014 12:51:20 -0800
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is expected to receive around 300 touches on offense next season.
Fantasy Tip: Bernard had a terrific rookie season and likely will be getting more involved in the offense. Bernard should be seen as a starting running back in all leagues next season and could also be a first-round pick in some leagues.
