Bengals | Jeremy Hill, Gio Bernard do little

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 18:23:55 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill rushed four times for 16 yards while RB Giovani Bernard rushed twice for two yards with two catches for 30 yards in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Hill and Bernard are well behind Joe Mixon for touches in the Cincinnati backfield, as the rookie had 15 rushes for 51 yards and a touchdown. As such, they're only worth using in the deepest of fantasy leagues right now. Cincinnati is off in Week 6 before traveling to Pittsburgh in Week 7.

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 13:26:59 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard caught three passes for 67 yards and one touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. He also rushed for 12 yards on three carries during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard is being used mostly in the passing game and has become a reliable target for Andy Dalton. He can be a solid flex option in point-per-reception leagues most weeks because of his role in the passing game.

Fri, 29 Sep 2017 17:39:02 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (thigh) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard likely will receive limited snaps with Joe Mixon taking over as the team's main running back. He should still be involved in the passing game and could be a flex option in some point-per-reception leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard remains limited

Thu, 28 Sep 2017 13:16:35 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (thigh) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard should have a decent chance to play in Week 4, but owners will need to check the inactive list. Bernard probably will be losing touches to Joe Mixon moving forward but will still have a role in the passing game. He can be a flex option for owners in point-per-reception leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard limited in practice

Wed, 27 Sep 2017 13:14:56 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (thigh) was listed as a limited participant for practice Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Bernard is able to play in Week 4 he isn't a terribly attractive play due to the emergence of Joe Mixon. The Bengals have a three-headed monster in the backfield and Bernard's touches were limited to just five total in Week 3. He saw eight touches in Week 1, and seven total touches in Week 2. He is only worth using on a regular basis in deeper PPR formats as long as Mixon and Hill are also healthy.

Bengals | Joe Mixon receives majority of snaps

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 15:30:41 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon received 34 offensive snaps in the team's Week 3 game. RB Jeremy Hill received 14 snaps, while RB Giovani Bernard received 13 snaps.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Mixon will be the No. 1 running back for the Bengals moving forward, which makes him a valuable option for fantasy owners. He can be a No. 2 running back or a flex option most weeks. Hill can be considered a flex option against certain opponents in standard leagues, while Bernard can be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard sputters Thursday night

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 21:42:26 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard managed just 10 yards on five carries Thursday, Sept. 14, against the Houston Texans. Bernard was targeted four times in the passing game, which led to two catches for 16 yards.

Fantasy Tip: On some level it makes sense to ease Bernard, who tore his ACL last November, back into action, but it's unclear that's what's happening as all three of Cincinnati's RBs are getting just a handful of touches each game. Bernard offers a unique skill set and should eventually hold value in PPR leagues, however, so don't cut bait just yet.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard leads three-headed monster

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 18:19:06 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed seven times for 40 yards in Week 1 against Baltimore and he added one catch for 39 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard, Jeremy Hill and Joe Mixon nearly split the carries evenly, but Bernard had the most production with 79 total yards. As such, Bernard looks like the more attractive of the trio from a fantasy perspective heading into Week 2 against the Texans on Thursday night.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard to remain involved

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 20:56:05 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard should maintain his role on passing downs to start the year, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard will likely find carries tough to come by with Joe Mixon and Jeremy Hill also in the mix, but his skills as a receiver make him a RB4 candidate in PPR formats.

Bengals | Cincinnati to utilize hot hand at RB

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 09:17:26 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RBs Jeremy Hill, Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard are expected to begin the season in a committee, according to running backs coach Kyle Caskey. "You plan initially for it and try to put guys in the right places for what their talents can do and once the game gets going there is a flow to it. If a guy does have a little juice to him at that time then you stick with him," Caskey said.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals have a history of taking it easy on their rookie running backs, but it seems a bit ridiculous in this case, as Hill hasn't been very effective or efficient since his rookie season in 2014. Mixon is the superior talent, so owners need to remain patient. About the only near-certainties in Cincinnati's backfield are that Bernard is expected to see most of the third-down work and Hill is likely to get the bulk of the work at the goal line. It's up to Mixon to make it obvious he needs to be playing the rest of the time.

Sun, 27 Aug 2017 18:17:20 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) made his preseason debut Sunday, Aug. 27, rushing four times for 25 yards in a 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: With Joe Mixon and Jeremy Hill part of the backfield, Bernard will likely be used mainly on passing downs. He is someone to target in PPR formats as a RB4.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard, John Ross will not play

Fri, 11 Aug 2017 15:39:10 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) and WR John Ross (shoulder) will not play in the preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday, Aug. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Both players are coming back from surgeries and likely will play later in the preseason. Bernard will be part of a committee at running back and may be used as more of a receiver out of the backfield. He could be considered a No. 4 running back in point-per-reception leagues. Ross should be used as a deep threat in the passing game this season and could be a No. 5 receiver in some leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard impressive Friday

Fri, 28 Jul 2017 17:00:59 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) looked very impressive during practice Friday, July 28, in the opinion of The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner Jr. Bernard is eight months recovered from suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Fantasy Tip: It appears Bernard is close to full strength but probably will receives some days off during camp. He will be part of a committee with Jeremy Hill and Joe Mixon but should be used as a receiver out of the backfield. Owners should keep an eye on during the preseason to see what his role will be in the offense. He probably will be more valuable in point-per-reception leagues and could be a No. 4 running back in some leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard likely cleared for camp

Mon, 24 Jul 2017 06:53:40 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) is likely to be cleared for the beginning of training camp. Bernard is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Fantasy Tip: Joe Mixon has been the talk of camp, and Bernard could be used sparingly behind Mixon and Jeremy Hill. There is still some PPR luster, but the upside isn't what it once was. Look at him as an RB4 in fantasy.

Bengals | Joe Mixon the Week 1 third-down back?

Sun, 28 May 2017 17:35:35 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon could serve as the third-down back for the first few games as RB Giovani Bernard (knee) works his way back from knee surgery, according to beat writer Geoff Hobson, and Hobson believes Mixon will be a big part of the running back rotation even when Bernard is healthy.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals drafted Mixon to add some explosiveness to the running game, so he is going to be worked into the offense one way or another. He is a high-upside RB4 in redraft leagues and a first-round pick in rookie drafts.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard will be limited at OTAs

Mon, 22 May 2017 12:50:37 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) will be a limited participant when organized team activities begin Tuesday, May 23. He continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last season.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard should be healthy enough to play by the time the regular season rolls around, but the Bengals may take it easy with him for starters. The presence of rookie Joe Mixon and Jeremy Hill make it easier for Bernard to recover. Considering the serious injury and the competition at the position, Bernard is best drafted as an RB4 in PPR formats.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard doing well in recovery

Fri, 03 Mar 2017 14:44:26 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) is making progress in his recovery from the torn anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered during the season, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard likely will be sidelined for all of the offseason workouts but could be ready for training camp. Bernard will be part of a committee at the position once he is ready to play and may be used more in the passing game. Fantasy owners can consider Bernard a No. 3 or No. 4 running back if he is healthy next season.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard rehab update

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 08:16:23 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) is making solid progress in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could avoid landing on the PUP list, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. However, Hobson believes there is still a possibility that he could miss the first game or two of the 2017 regular season.

Fantasy Tip: With RBs Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead set to become free agents, Jeremy Hill could open the 2017 campaign as the starting running back in Cincinnati, although the Bengals could target someone during the early rounds of the draft. In the event that Bernard is available for the season opener, Hill is still worthy of consideration as a flex option in many fantasy formats because the team is likely to use him as a goal-line specialist.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard placed on IR

Tue, 22 Nov 2016 12:09:19 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 22. Bernard suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: No surprise here. This will be Jeremy Hill's backfield now, but Rex Burkhead should see a larger role, particularly in the passing game. Even with Hill being featured now, though, he draws a really tough test in the Baltimore Ravens this week. Expecting a breakout performance as the featured back right away would be naïve.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard has torn ACL

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 20:58:12 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills, a source said Sunday, Nov. 20.

Fantasy Tip: With Bernard done for the season it will be Jeremy Hill handling the majority of the backfield touches down the stretch. Rex Burkhead might benefit from a few extra touches, while Tyler Eifert could picked up a few more targets in the pass game as a result.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard used in run, pass game

Sun, 20 Nov 2016 15:01:12 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed for 21 yards on seven carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11. He also caught five passes for 40 yards in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard has received a decent amount of touches over the past few weeks but has not posted great numbers. He will continue to be involved in the running and passing game and can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Bengals | Gio Bernard totals 10 touches

Mon, 14 Nov 2016 20:52:17 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed seven times for 17 yards in the Week 10 game against the New York Giants Monday, Nov. 14, and he added three receptions for 19 yards on five targets.

Fantasy Tip: It was a bit of a disappointment from a fantasy perspective, especially for PPR owners, as his catch total and yardage was well under his average. In fact, over the past three games he has just five grabs for 40 yards while the past two games he there has been more emphasis on the run. Tonight, he did neither very well. He remains a solid RB2 in most PPR leagues and he looks to rebound in Week 11 against Buffalo.

Sun, 30 Oct 2016 13:09:07 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries against the Washington Redskins in Week 8. He also caught one pass for 14 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard has been a versatile running back for the Bengals this season and will continue to be involved in the running and passing game moving forward. He should be a fine flex option against most opponents.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard finds end zone

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 14:11:15 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard has received at least 10 carries in three of the last four games but had not rushed for more than 50 yards in any game before Week 7. Bernard has more value in point-per-reception leagues because he has a solid role in the passing game. He should be considered a No. 2 running back or a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard busy in loss

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 22:15:50 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed 15 times for a team-high 49 yards in the Week 6 game against the New England Patriots and he added four receptions for 45 yards on five targets.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard is a solid fantasy option in leagues which reward points per receptions (PPR), but he is more of a flex fantasy option in standard formats. The Bengals host the Browns in Week 7.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed nine times for 50 yards in the Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys and he added six receptions for 46 yards on six targets.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard posts nine grabs, TD

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 22:16:03 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard ran five times just 17 yards in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he more than made up for the shortcomings in the rush game with nine receptions for a game-high 100 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard is a fabulous fantasy option in most formats, especially in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). He faces another difficult rush defense in Week 3 against the Broncos, but he remains a solid RB2 in PPR formats.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard shows versatility

Sun, 28 Aug 2016 21:02:02 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had three carries for 27 yards and two catches for 25 yards and a touchdown in a 26-21 preseason loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Aug. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Sharing the backfield with Jeremy Hill caps Bernard's upside, but his ability as a pass-catcher makes Bernard a viable RB3 in PPR formats.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard in more two-back sets

Thu, 30 Jun 2016 07:19:24 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard could be used in more two-back sets with RB Jeremy Hill to make up for the loss of TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) early in the season.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard hasn't had the kind of buzz he had in his first couple of years in the league. Truth is, though, that he rushed for a career-high 730 yards and 4.7 yards per carry. He also caught 49 balls for 472 yards. The problem is that he only had two total touchdowns. Bernard is a solid RB3 in fantasy and has upside in PPR leagues. Hill is a good RB2 in most formats.

Wed, 08 Jun 2016 12:28:55 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is finalizing a three-year extension worth $15.5 million Wednesday, June 8, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard will continue to play the lighting opposite Jeremy Hill's thunder. Gio has more value in PPR leagues and should be drafted as an RB2 in such formats.

Updating a previous story, Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (concussion) is in concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the remainder of the AFC wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (head) was helped off the field and went to the locker room after being hit by Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier in their AFC wild-card game Saturday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Tip: If Bernard can't return, Jeremy Hill will handle a bulk of the snaps at running back.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard huge in receiving game

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 22:22:17 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard ran six times for 18 yards in the Week 11 game against the Arizona Cardinals, but he was really a factor in the receiving game. He had eight receptions for a team-high 128 yards and he was targeted 10 times.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard had a 41-yard reception down to the 1-yard line, nearly scoring after appearing to roll on top of a defender before he was down. Despite the lack of touchdowns, he has been the better fantasy option over the past few weeks, although Jeremy Hill was able to post two rushing scores Sunday night.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard carried eight times for 36 yards in the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans Monday, Nov. 16. He also added five receptions for 43 yards while being targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard had 13 touches to 10 for Jeremy Hill, who just cannot seem to get it going. At this point the versatile Bernard appears to be the better FantasyScore option.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard leads ground game

Thu, 05 Nov 2015 20:59:34 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had 13 carries for a team-high 72 yards and one catch for 14 yards in a 31-10 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($6,700, 13.6% of cap) gained 20 more yards on the ground than teammate Jeremy Hill ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) on two fewer carries. However, both backs continue to see steady work, making both risky plays at FantasyScore from one game to the next.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had one carry for 12 yards and two catches for 22 yards in a 16-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) took a backseat to Jeremy Hill ($5,900, 11.8% of cap), who ran 15 times for 60 yards. Cincinnati's backfield remain tough to predict from one week to the next, making both backs risky plays at FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill still the starter

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 07:23:56 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is still the starting running back, according to offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. "Jeremy hasn't had the success that he had a year ago, and I think that's what everybody's looking for," Jackson said of his back who averaged 5.1 yards per carry last year. "But Jeremy's playing and playing well. Jeremy's still our starting tailback. Everybody has seen over the last couple games that (Giovani Bernard) has got more carries, more opportunities than Jeremy. Well, eventually that's going to flip.

Fantasy Tip: Hill ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) and Bernard ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) have a rough matchup against the Buffalo Bills this week. Bernard might have more upside due to his receiving ability, but the tandem doesn't have a lot of upside in the matchup on FantasyScore.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard leads the backfield

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 17:04:29 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had a team-high 15 carries for 80 yards and five catches for 21 yards in a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) logged seven more carries than Jeremy Hill ($6,800, 13.6% of cap), and he has outperformed Hill for much of the season. However, the backfield situation in Cincinnati can change on a weekly basis, making both players risky options at FantasyScore.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had a team-high 13 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown in a 36-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has been much more efficient than Jeremy Hill ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) this season, and although he is receiving more touches, Hill's role as the goal-line back gives him more upside at FantasyScore.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard dominates RB snaps

Mon, 28 Sep 2015 07:38:47 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard's 51 snaps dominated the backfield in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens. Bengals RB Jeremy Hill saw only 26 snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard's role can be attributed to Hill's Week 2 fumbling problems and a design to attack the Ravens on the perimeter. This backfield could be shuffled on a week-to-week matchup basis.

Bengals | Fumbling an issue for Jeremy Hill

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 16:29:50 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill has seven fumbles in 18 career NFL games. The fact that Hill was benched in favor of RB Giovani Bernard, who ran 20 times for 123 yards in Week 2 against the San Diego Chargers, further hammered home the point for Hill. "We can't have the back fumbling the football," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "Jeremy's a talented young player and we've got to keep the football. That wasn't part of his deal last year and we can't let it creep in." Hill had five fumbles as a rookie in 2014.

Fantasy Tip: If Hill's ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) fumbling issues continue, his owners may need to start looking for alternatives. He'll likely be a contrarian play on FantasyScore in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens after Bernard ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) outperformed him in Week 2.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard had 20 carries for 123 yards and three catches for 16 yards in a 24-19 win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) ran wild after Jeremy Hill ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) was benched for fumbling twice. It remains to be seen if Hill will remain in the doghouse going forward, but keep close tabs on the situation before using either back at FantasyScore in Week 3.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill benched in Week 2

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 13:32:02 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill was benched during the third quarter after losing two fumbles in Week 2's game against the San Diego Chargers. He finished the game with 39 yards on 10 carries and was replaced by RB Giovani Bernard.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) made the most of his opportunity, gaining 123 rushing yards on 20 carries and catching three passes for 16 more yards versus San Diego. It remains to be seen if Hill ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) will regain his starting job for next week's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Wed, 02 Sep 2015 14:59:49 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RBs Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard both finished among the top-16 running backs in point-per-reception leagues last season.

Fantasy Tip: Hill will be the Bengals' starter, but Bernard should see his fair share of playing time, particularly on passing downs. Don't expect them both to finish in the top 16 again, but Hill and Bernard should be considered a RB1 and RB2, respectively, in PPR leagues.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard still a solid option

Tue, 11 Aug 2015 16:17:10 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard finished as the 16th best running back in point-per-reception leagues last year, despite RB Jeremy Hill starting eight games.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard and Hill have already proven they can coexist. Hill should do most of the running out of the backfield while Bernard contributes mainly in the passing game. Even with Hill succeeding last year, Bernard still gained more than 1,000 total yards and seven total touchdowns. Consider him a RB2 in PPR leagues again this year.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard to return punts?

Mon, 03 Aug 2015 22:51:48 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard might see an expanded role as a punt returner this season. He returned two punts for touchdowns in college, and was working as a returning the preseason in his rookie season before his running back role expanded. If he sees fewer snaps playing alongside RB Jeremy Hill it might open up an opportunity for Bernard on special teams.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard is worth watching in the preseason, as he could be dangerous in the return game. If so, he would be a strong fantasy option in formats which reward individual return yardage. As it stands, he'll be a good option in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR), even if he sees decreased snaps this season.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill expects to share snaps

Fri, 29 May 2015 14:28:19 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill said he expects to share carries with RB Giovani Bernard this upcoming season. "Obviously there's going to be a balanced attack," Hill said. "I don't think he's got to wear either one of us out, so that way we can make it through all 16 games for a playoff push."

Fantasy Tip: Hill led the team in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in 2014 and probably will be more valuable in fantasy leagues this season. Giovani Bernard will see solid playing time and could be more of a factor in the passing game, which increases his value in point-per-reception leagues. Hill and Bernard should be selected in drafts in 2015.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard with upside Sunday

Sun, 04 Jan 2015 08:24:32 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard could be relied upon heavily in the passing game Sunday, Jan. 4, in the wild-card playoff game with WR A.J. Green (concussion) and TE Jermaine Gresham (back) out.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard ($5,800; 11.6% of your cap) is a good receiver out of the backfield, and the team could split him out wide or in the slot in some formations. He's at a good price on FantasyScore, considering he could have WR2 targets and receive a handful of rushes.
