Kansas City Chiefs RB Knile Davis (leg) was participating in organized team activities this week. He has been working as the top kick returner and No. 2 running back during workouts.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the team plans on giving RB Knile Davis (leg) more touches next season as long as he can recover from his broken leg. "As we went on, we were able to do that with Knile," Reid said. "Knile was a rookie and he was learning every week and getting better every week. As the season went on we were able to give him the ball a little bit more. Coming into this season, we'll be able to mix it up a little bit better than what we did early in the season last year."

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said RB Knile Davis (knee, leg) should be fine after suffering a knee sprain and fracturd fibula during the Wild Card playoff game. He is currently rehabbing both injuries.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Knile Davis (knee) suffered a knee injury in the Wild Card playoff game and will not return.

The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to hold RB Jamaal Charles out of their Week 17 game.
Fantasy Tip: Knile Davis likely will start and get a majority of the carries during the game. Owners can consider using Davis as a No. 2 running back in their starting lineups.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Knile Davis ripped off a 108-yard kickoff return for touchdown in the Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos. It was the longest return touchdown in franchise history, and ties for the second-longest in NFL history.

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expects RB Jamaal Charles (quadriceps) to play in the team's Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys despite being held out of practice for precautionary reasons Wednesday, Sept. 11. Charles suffered a quadriceps bruise in Week 1. If for some reason he doesn't play, RBs Cyrus Gray or Knile Davis would replace him. Gray played on passing downs in Week 1 and Davis was used on running plays.
Fantasy Tip: Follow up on Charles' practice status for the rest of the week, but for now, assume that he'll play this weekend.

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (foot) is dealing with a mild foot strain, and he wasn't walking with a boot or a noticeable limp Tuesday, Aug. 13. He rode a stationary bike but didn't participate in practice. "People are speculating Lisfranc and all that," trainer Rick Burkholder said of the mid-foot injury that caused problems for former RB Larry Johnson. "He doesn't have any discomfort there. I've had him see two orthopedic surgeons and everyone agrees he has a mild foot strain." There is no timetable for when Charles will return to action, but it's unlikely he'll play in the preseason game Friday, Aug. 16. RB Knile Davis took most of the reps with the first-team offense Tuesday, and RBs Shaun Draughn and Cyrus Gray are battling for the No. 3 job.
Fantasy Tip: Davis is a late-round flier as a handcuff to Charles. The rookie can be explosive if given an opportunity. His touches will go up if Charles misses time, but even then, the Chiefs probably won't rely solely on him.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (foot) left with a foot injury Monday, Aug. 12. X-rays were negative, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Fantasy Tip: Charles owners and those targeting him in the top three picks of drafts can let out a sigh of relief. This reminds us that he's rather injury-prone, though, so if you take him early, it's wise to build strong RB depth around him. When healthy, Charles is one of the best point-per-reception threats in the league. Rookie Knile Davis would probably see the most action if Charles were to miss extensive time.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Knile Davis never returned a kick in a game during his time at the University of Arkansas, but the team is hoping he can be turned into a kickoff return specialist during training camp and the preseason. Davis dropped a kickoff in practice Friday, July 26, and he was known as a fumbled in college. "We'll get that fixed," head coach Andy Reid said.
