Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said the team is more open to trading the third overall pick of this year's draft after securing QB Blake Bortles with the No. 3 pick last season. "But as you guys in the media know, you pick everything apart and some of the quarterbacks may fall just like some of the quarterbacks predicted to go high last year fell to the late first round. So you don't really know what other teams' value is."

I let the process play out, and once our coaches got a hold of all the evaluations of our personnel staff, he became the consensus No. 1, without me influencing anybody. It became very clear to us that he was the guy at the quarterback position that we were going to target."

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said if you try to force picking a quarterback at a certain point in a draft, you can make a mistake. "In today's day and age, if you can't get Peyton Manning or Matt Ryan, and they might not be available for the next 10 or 15 years, then you have to adapt and build the roster and do what's best for the organization," Caldwell said. "And if a quarterback presents itself later in the draft, you take and develop him. Having a franchise guy makes the world a lot easier, though. It can erase a lot of mistakes you make. But if you force it, you can screw it up. I don't know if we're going to find that guy, but I hope we do."

This is our year and he may give us a (lift).' He still has a little juice in his legs." An unnamed scout added he has concerns whether Woodson is a leader. "To me, he's got another year or two left in the tank, probably in a situational playing capacity as an inside player. I think he could start at safety, but you'd be worried a little bit. Safety is the last line of defense," the scout said. "The more people I talk to, he's a veteran presence, yes. But that leadership element? Maybe not."
