Titans | Tajae Sharpe passes Green-Beckham

Tue, 14 Jun 2016 23:39:07 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe has passed WR Dorial Green-Beckham and WR Justin Hunter on the depth chart as Sharpe worked with the first-team in practice Tuesday, June 14.

Fantasy Tip: Sharpe is in the lead for the third receiver spot, but the designation speaks more to the disappointment that DGB has been. Sharpe is a WR5 flyer in fantasy and someone to keep an eye on in camp. Green-Beckham remains a high-risk, high-reward target on draft day.

Titans | HC challenges Justin Hunter

Wed, 01 Jun 2016 20:42:36 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter met with head coach Mike Mularkey before practice Wednesday, June 1, and the head man challenged him. "I am asking him to step up and be more aggressive about it," Mularkey said. "To get up at the line and look at the guy across from him and tell him: 'You can't cover me.' He just needs more confidence in his body language, and everything about him. He has so much talent, he just has to believe he has the talent."

Fantasy Tip: Hunter has a big frame and has shown glimpses of brilliance in preseason games, making him look like a big-time sleeper for fantasy owners heading into draft day. However, he has been unable to carry over the momentum into the regular season, and injuries have also played a big part in derailing him. Perhaps he is just a late bloomer, but he remains nothing more than a late-round flier at this point.

Titans | Justin Hunter in better shape

Thu, 26 May 2016 13:44:38 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is up to 209 pounds from the 203 pounds he played at least year thanks to aggressive workouts and a diet change.

Fantasy Tip: Hunter may be in better football shape and healthier, but his hands have betrayed him in the NFL. It's likely that he'll be an afterthought in the Titans' offense this season, only good for a deep play here and there. It's best to keep him on waivers.

Titans | Justin Hunter may be limited

Sun, 15 May 2016 13:39:40 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (ankle) probably will be limited when organized team activities start later this month.

Fantasy Tip: Hunter has limited to nine because of injuries in 2015 and recorded only 264 yards. Hunter should be more involved in the passing game but would only be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Titans | Justin Hunter headed to IR

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 16:24:45 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (ankle) will go on the Reserve/Injured list after breaking his ankle in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: With Kendall Hunter also banged up and questionable to play on a short week, the Titans are running out of viable playmakers through the air. Besides Delanie Walker, Marcus Mariota has an inconsistent and inexperienced group of receivers that is headlined by a raw Dorial Green-Beckham. The matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday is a good one, but because of his lack of weapons, Mariota is tough to rely on at FantasyScore.

Titans | Justin Hunter not on the field

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 15:36:24 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (ankle) did not participate in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Hunter likely will miss significant time because of the injury, so owners should look for other options. Dorial Green-Beckham is expected to receive more playing time but is not a great fantasy option at this point.

Titans | Justin Hunter likely out a while

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 16:42:49 -0800

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (ankle) was carted off in the second half of the Week 10 game against the Carolina Panthers due to an apparent right ankle injury. Interim head coach Mike Mularkey said Sunday, Nov. 15, that he did not have any details about Hunter's injury, but said "it's not good."

Fantasy Tip: Hunter might be sidelined a while from how Mularkey sounded. It could mean more opportunity for Dorial Green-Beckham and Rico Richardson going forward.

Titans | Justin Hunter splits with Harry Douglas

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 07:50:23 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter played 40 snaps in Week 5, with WR Harry Douglas playing in 41 Sunday, Oct. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Hunter ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) had six targets and caught four of them for 38 yards. Douglas ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) had just three targets, hauling in two grabs for 17 yards. While the two are splitting looks, Hunter has the clear upside and attention advantage. Hunter could be a basement flyer against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6 on FantasyScore.
