Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter said he has been working on adding some weight this offseason. Hunter finished this past season at 196 pounds but is currently 206 pounds and wants to be at 210 pounds by the start of training camp.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter had his 2014 season end early because of a spleen injury but will be ready for offseason workouts. He likely will compete with Dorial Green-Beckham for a starting job during training camp. Hunter could be a late-round option in fantasy drafts next season.
Thu, 07 May 2015 09:31:05 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is expected to compete with WR Dorial Green-Beckham for one of the starting receiver jobs during training camp.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter likely will enter camp as the leading candidate since he has been in the offense longer than Green-Beckham, but Green-Beckham will be given the chance to win the job. Both players probably will be late-round options in drafts next season.

Mon, 01 Dec 2014 10:44:30 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (spleen) is expected to be fine after suffering a ruptured spleen in Week 13, according to a source.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter probably will not be able to play in Week 14, and there is a good chance he misses several weeks because of the injury. Kendall Wright and Nate Washington likely will receive bigger roles in the offense with Hunter out, which will boost their fantasy value. Both receivers could be options for owners on FantasyScore this week if the price is right.
Mon, 01 Dec 2014 09:37:37 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (spleen) isn't expected to need surgery for his lacerated spleen, but he'll remain in a Houston hospital for the next day or two.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter probably will be unlikely to suit up in Week 13 against the New York Giants. Consider both Kendall Wright and Nate Washington to be decent value plays at FantasyScore, depending on their prices, against the G-men.
Sun, 30 Nov 2014 15:26:11 -0800

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (stomach) was taken to a hospital in Houston following the Week 13 game against the Houston Texans to get stomach pain checked out.

Sun, 30 Nov 2014 10:36:24 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (stomach) left the team's Week 13 game early because of a stomach injury but is probable to return.
Fantasy Tip: It appears that Hunter is only dealing with a minor injury and should be able to return. Hunter has scored two touchdowns in his last four games but is not an every-week starter for owners.
Fri, 21 Nov 2014 12:11:24 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter appears to have a good chance to play since he was not limited during practice. Hunter costs $3,900 on FantasyScore and has a favorable matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, so owners could consider using him as a cheap flex option.
Thu, 20 Nov 2014 15:21:36 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (knee) practiced fully Thursday, Nov. 20.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter ($3,900, 7.8%) does have a favorable matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, but he's been underachieving all year. The risk might still be worth it at his low price on FantasyScore.
Wed, 19 Nov 2014 13:31:19 -0800
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Fantasy Tip: There isn't anything to suggest that Hunter's injury will keep him out of Week 12. He's not a bad FantasyScore option this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles, either, for a price of just $3,900.
Wed, 22 Oct 2014 19:50:37 -0700
The Tennessee Titans have been fielding calls from teams for WR Nate Washington, who recently lost his starting job to WR Justin Hunter. Washington is in the final year of a six-year, $26.8 million contract. He is making $4.8 million this season.
Fantasy Tip: As long as Washington is in Nashville, FantasyScore owners will want to avoid him. However, if he should land in a more favorable spot with another team, he could re-emerge as a viable fantasy option.
Fri, 10 Oct 2014 19:06:34 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter displaced WR Nate Washington as the No. 2 receiver this past week. He led the team with 66 of 68 offensive snaps in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns, while Washington managed to play just 48 snaps.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter is a deep play threat, but unless he has a big game in Week 6 to follow up his solid Week 5 performance, FantasyScore owners will want to avoid him. Play wait-and-see with Hunter for now.
Wed, 08 Oct 2014 07:50:38 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter has locked down a starting spot on the outside with the team. He has big upside due to his size and speed, but he's not a consistent performer on tape, according to personnel executives.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter ($3,700; 7.4% of your cap) is a solid flex option on FantasyScore at a bargain against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.
Mon, 06 Oct 2014 07:12:39 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter played on all but two offensive snaps in Week 5. He had three catches for 99 yards and a touchdown Sunday, Oct. 5.
Fantasy Tip: His total was padded by a 75-yard touchdown strike, but he could have some bye-week replacement value. Put him on your fringe list for waivers this week.
Mon, 15 Sep 2014 13:25:18 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter hasn't made much of an impact in the first two games of the season after finishing with the second-most receiving yards in the preseason (217 yards). Hunter has been targeted 14 times in the first two games and has just five grabs. He had two catches for just 26 yards in the Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. QB Jake Locker went to WR Nate Washington and TE Delanie Walker in key third-and-goal and fourth-and-goal situations in the fourth quarter in Week 2.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter is a fine player in an offense with a quarterback that is improving quickly. His upside remains high, and he could easily break out later this season. Unfortunately, his matchup in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals isn't intriguing for FantasyScore players.
Fri, 12 Sep 2014 14:43:25 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (knee) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 12, after being limited the other two days this week. The team is listing him as probable for Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Hunter is a solid WR3 with upside.
Wed, 16 Jul 2014 14:44:05 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is drawing big comparisons to retired WR Randy Moss from WR Michael Preston. "Not only is the sky the limit, I think he's going to be alright (personally)," Preston said.
"I know how great a player Randy Moss was, and in my mind, there's no reason Justin can't be the next greatest player … I just want to be there to support him. I know he's going to grow, make a great leap this year, and impress the city and fans with his talent."
Fri, 06 Jun 2014 13:41:36 -0700
Tennessee Titans wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson praised WR Justin Hunter, saying he could be the player that puts the team into the postseason. "He can be the receiver that puts us in the playoffs, and helps us win our division," Jefferson said. "With the growth he is going to go through, if he can keep progressing he can be the receiver that puts us over the edge. He has that much potential. He has great ability, and has gotten bigger. But keep in mind this is just his second season in the league and he is learning his second offense. He is coming on, but he has to keep working. I like the course he is on."
Fri, 06 Jun 2014 11:00:09 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is the receiver that can put the Titans into the playoffs, according to receivers coach Shawn Jefferson. Jefferson added that Hunter has great ability and has bulked up (added 15 pounds this offseason), but needs to keep working to get even better.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter has the ability to overwhelm whoever is covering him. He is currently listed as the team's third wide receiver behind Kendall Wright and Nate Washington, but if he keeps improving, he has high-end WR3 potential.
Tue, 29 Apr 2014 19:57:48 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter has bulked up 15 pounds thus far in the offseason. Hunter was a deep threat, but believes the added muscle could help when he goes over the middle because he feels "a lot more" confident about "being able to withstand injury." "I feel like I got stronger in my legs, so I can push a little harder," Hunter said. "As long as I beat (the defender), I'll be good."

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter had four catches for 115 yards in the team's Week 14 loss to the Denver Broncos, giving him 100-yard games in two of the last three weeks.
Fantasy Tip: Hunter should be a popular waiver wire target for those fantasy squads still competing for a title. He has considerable upside but has been very inconsistent, too. Add him if you're in need of WR depth this late.

Tue, 24 Sep 2013 14:08:30 -0700
The Tennessee Titans liked what they saw from rookie WR Justin Hunter in the team's Week 3 win over the San Diego Chargers in which Hunter caught a late-game touchdown. "One of the reasons we drafted him is we think he can be a special deep ball threat. He has a great combination of size and speed and he can jump. That was a perfect example of that situation," QB Jake Locker said of Hunter. "He was able to run down, track that football down and then when it comes to a jump ball, we feel confident he is going to come down with it 100 percent of the time, because that's his strength. That plays right into his abilities."
Fantasy Tip: This is more bad news for Kenny Britt and his owners. If Hunter continues to impress and gel with Locker, Britt might sink further into wideout obscurity in Tennessee. It might be time to think about cutting Britt for better options.
Mon, 23 Sep 2013 12:20:48 -0700
Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt once again was lackluster in the team's Week 3 win over the San Diego Chargers and had several drops. In a key late-game third-and-long situation, Britt was benched in favor of WR Justin Hunter, who wound up making the game-winning touchdown catch. Britt was on the sideline for all of the team's 10 plays during their 94-yard game-winning drive. WR Nate Washington, who had eight catches in the game, has become the team's top wideout, with WR Kendall Wright running more of the underneath routes. Britt said he was banged up with a sore neck and bruised rib from a scary tackle in the second quarter, but offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said the receiver rotation on the final drive was a coaching decision. Britt was targeted five times in the game and didn't have a single catch, including two drops. "Kenny's still a physical specimen. He's going to be part of this offense," Loggains said. "We just have to clean that stuff up. We can't have dropped balls from anyone. We can't have penalties. We can be a good football team if we clean that stuff up. We're not going to be good if we're stupid."
Fantasy Tip: Britt put himself further into the doghouse in this game. If you own him, you might not be able to get away with dropping him yet, but he should be banished to your bench in Week 4. Washington and Wright are gaining steam for waiver wire acquisitions.
Thu, 19 Sep 2013 16:23:24 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (concussion) did not practice again Thursday, Sept. 19, but he doesn't think he has a concussion. Wright will visit with a doctor before practice Friday, Sept. 20, and the team expects him to be cleared to practice and play in Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers. WR Damian Williams will serve as the No. 3 receiver and WR Justin Hunter will be the fourth if Wright can't play.
Fantasy Tip: Wright should be a solid play against a weak Chargers secondary if he can suit up. If not, Kenny Britt and Nate Washington receive a boost in value for the week.
Wed, 18 Sep 2013 14:15:14 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Fantasy Tip: Wright was hit hard by cornerback Kareem Jackson last week, which likely left him concussed. He'll have to pass the league's concussion protocol to be cleared for this weekend's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Needless to say, Wright's status will be in question. If he doesn't play, Nate Washington and Justin Hunter will likely see more targets.
Tue, 17 Sep 2013 11:10:42 -0700
Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt is not happy with the team and thinks this will be his last year in Tennessee.
Fantasy Tip: If Britt continues to have issues with the team, the main beneficiaries on the field will be Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter. For now though, it is tough to have Britt anywhere near your starting lineup.
