|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson not seeing snaps|

Fantasy Tip: Patterson appears to be a special teams only player at this point and should not be an option in any fantasy league.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson works with twos|
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 22:12:27 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson has worked with the second team through the start of training camp, although head coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday, July 29, that he has seen some improvement from the wide receiver.
Fantasy Tip: Patterson is clearly behind Charles Johnson and Mike Wallace on the depth chart, and he could be behind Jarius Wright as well. Right now he is only worth a speculative pick in the late rounds of standard fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams.

|Vikings | Inconsistency for Cordarrelle Patterson|
Mon, 27 Jul 2015 19:35:36 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson showed improved in organized team activities (OTAs), according to head coach Mike Zimmer, but the receiver has had consistency issues on the practice field which is holding him back. "He'll have really good days, and then he'll have some not-so-good days. Really, I think what he needs to do is just the consistency every single day and the consistency in studying, the consistency in getting extra help that he needs if he needs it, running the routes the same all the time and understanding that there's a lot of great athletes that don't make it in professional sports because they don't have the other intangibles," Zimmer said.
Fantasy Tip: The Vikings have plenty of depth at receiver following the addition of Mike Wallace, as well as the emergence of Charles Johnson and Jarius Wright. So the team can afford to be patient. But fantasy owners likely won't want to take a chance on him until the very final rounds on draft day, because the potential is still there. Physically, he can be so good. Mentally, he still has a lot of work to do.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson talks 2015 season|
Sat, 25 Jul 2015 10:44:40 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson feels that this season is his make-or-break season. "I've got a lot to prove. I need to get back to the old me and have fun and not get too serious like I did last year." Patterson also said he believes this offseason is the best he's had so far in his career. He added that he's really been working on his route-running and feels that he's improved a lot.
Fantasy Tip: Patterson could be right about this being his make-or-break year. Charles Johnson, Mike Wallace and Kyle Rudolph will probably be QB Teddy Bridgewater's three main targets, so Patterson may have to work his way into more playing time. For now, he's a WR5 at best.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson not starting?|
Thu, 18 Jun 2015 21:33:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Patterson still possesses big-play speed, and regardless of what his role is to open the year, he is worth drafting as a bench option on his potential alone.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson to return kicks again|
Sat, 06 Jun 2015 12:19:53 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson will be the primary kickoff returner this season, according to special teams coordinator Mike Priefer. Priefer said he considers Patterson to be the best kick returner in the NFL.
Fantasy Tip: Patterson still has work to do as far as a wide receiver, but he'll have added value in leagues that award kickoff and/or punt returns. He's still no more than a WR5 behind Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson praised|
Sat, 23 May 2015 21:40:45 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson once again has drawn praise from Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer -- this time for his route-running improvements. Patterson has worked extensively this offseason to become a better receiver from a technical standpoint.
Fantasy Tip: Patterson was a popular breakout candidate in 2014 but barely saw the field in the second half of the season after falling out of favor with Zimmer due to his limited knowledge of nuanced routes. The explosive third-year receiver could be an undervalued WR4 draft target if he continues to turn heads and finds a way to earn regular playing time.

|Vikings | Coach happy with Cordarrelle Patterson|
Thu, 14 May 2015 10:25:09 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson has been impressive during offseason workouts, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. "He's really done well," Zimmer said. "He's running routes good; he's working hard. So we just need him to continue to do those things and continue to keep getting consistent and keep improving. I've been impressed with the things that he's done."
Fantasy Tip: Patterson saw a drop in all of his stats this past season and likely will enter the 2015 season as a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver. Owners in deeper leagues could consider selecting Patterson in one of the late rounds in drafts.

|Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson looking to improve|
Tue, 28 Apr 2015 08:35:51 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson said he plans to focus on improving his route running this offseason. "Just route running," Patterson said. "Growing up, I was always athletic and could just do anything. I'm in the NFL now, so I just have to focus on my craft and just work at route running, getting in and getting out of breaks and stuff like that."
Fantasy Tip: Patterson was a flop in 2014, but the acquisition of Mike Wallace should shift some of the defensive attention away from him. Patterson is a great WR3 in traditional leagues. His promise may make it tough to acquire him as such, though.

|Vikings | GM praises Cordarrelle Patterson|
Sun, 26 Apr 2015 20:21:54 -0700
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson has dedicated himself to becoming a better receiver, according to general manager Rick Spielman. "I think Cordarrelle has really grown up a lot," Spielman said. "I know what he has done this offseason dedicating himself to being the best receiver he can be, and how serious he is taking that, we're very excited about the future with Cordarrelle."
Fantasy Tip: Patterson was a huge disappointment last season, and he was basically a non-factor in the passing game for most of the year. Still, he possesses elite athleticism and speed, and he has the ability to turn any catch into a big play. Patterson is worth taking a chance on later in drafts just in case he realizes his potential in 2015.
