Steelers | Markus Wheaton will share snaps

Sat, 24 Sep 2016 09:16:26 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is set to return from a sprained right shoulder in Week 3 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, but he will do so in a timeshare with Sammie Coates and Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Fantasy Tip: It's impossible to know at this point whether the Steelers plan on making this a permanent arrangement or are only trying to bring him back slowly, but what is clear is that Wheaton is no more than a low-end flex for the time being. He is certainly still worth a bench spot and could move into the WR3 discussion as the year progresses.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton ready to play

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 15:53:52 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton missed the first two games of the season but should have a solid role in the passing game in Week 3. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues but could stay on the bench if owners have more favorable matchups.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton was held out of the team's Week 2 game but appears to have a good chance to play in Week 3. He should receive solid playing time during the game and can be a flex option in most leagues.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton ready to return?

Tue, 20 Sep 2016 22:47:23 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) looks "ready to go," according to head coach Mike Tomlin, though Tomlin indicated that Wheaton's participation in practice leading up to Week 3 would determine his availability.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton was close this past Sunday, and with another week it sounds like he should be back in action. The Steelers have moved the ball effectively in his absence, and Sammie Coates has done a good job on deep balls, but Wheaton is the most accomplished Steelers wideout this side of Antonio Brown. If Wheaton is up, he'd be an interesting option as a WR3 or flex play.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton will not play

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 09:06:36 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 2 game.

Fantasy Tip: Eli Rogers likely will be more involved in the passing game with Wheaton sidelined. He recorded 59 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 and was targeted seven times during the game. Rogers can be a fine flex option for owners and should have more value in point-per-reception leagues.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton out Sunday

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 08:37:39 -0700

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) will not play in Week 2's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is expected to need another week to recover.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton was able to participate on a limited basis in practice last week, so he should be good to go for Week 3's contest versus the Philadelphia Eagles. WRs Antonio Brown and Eli Rogers and TE Jesse James should see the bulk of the targets in Week 2.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton questionable for Week 2

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 13:15:18 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 16, and is listed as questionable for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has on the practice field all three days this week and should have a good chance to play in Week 2. Wheaton likely will be in the starting lineup if he is active for the game but may not be a great option for owners since the team is facing a tough Cincinnati Bengals defense.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton a full participant

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 17:30:27 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has a chance to emerge as the No. 2 option behind Antonio Brown. He should be owned in most formats, but he is a risky flex play against Cincinnati in Week 2.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton fully practices

Wed, 14 Sep 2016 14:25:28 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton appears to be on track to play in Week 2 after sitting out the first game and likely will be in the starting lineup. The Steelers likely will spread the ball around in the passing game, which will hurt Wheaton's value. He could be a flex option in some fantasy leagues.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton nearing return

Tue, 13 Sep 2016 22:27:00 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) has a "significant chance" to play in Week 2, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fantasy Tip: The Steelers were firing on all cylinders in Week 1, but they'd love to get Wheaton's big-play ability into the lineup as well. If you have sufficient depth it'd be wise to take a cautious approach to inserting Wheaton in your lineup for at least a week, assuming he suits up this Sunday.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton to miss Week 1

Sat, 10 Sep 2016 10:59:54 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Washington Redskins.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton missed every practice this week, making him something of a question mark for Week 2 as well. His absence will give preseason disappointment Sammie Coates another shot to make some noise, although he'll have to do so against the Redskins' accomplished outside cornerbacks Josh Norman and Bashaud Breeland. Expect Antonio Brown, slot receiver Eli Rogers and tight end Jesse James to see the bulk of targets in Monday night's first game.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton 'unlikely' for Monday

Fri, 09 Sep 2016 11:40:45 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) missed practice again Friday, September 9, and "looks unlikely" to suit up for the team's season opener Monday, September 12.

Fantasy Tip: It'll be a tricky situation for his fantasy owners come Monday night, as it looks like a decision will have to be made well before Wheaton's status is even confirmed. Those who want to try and ride him out should also attempt to add Sammie Coates or Darrius Heyward-Bey off the waiver wire, as they would be in line for additional targets should Wheaton end up inactive.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton misses practice

Thu, 08 Sep 2016 12:59:03 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton missed several preseason games because of the injury, so owners should check on his status later in the week. Wheaton could be a No. 3 receiver or flex option if he is able to play in Week 1.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton day-to-day

Tue, 06 Sep 2016 11:34:14 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is considered day-to-day.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton should be Pittsburgh's No. 2 wide receiver this year with Martavis Bryant suspended. Antonio Brown will be the Steelers' go-to guy again, but Wheaton could serve as more of a possession receiver. He has yet to really prove himself, so drafting Wheaton as a WR4 or WR5 with a little more upside in PPR leagues would be ideal.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton on the field Monday

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 15:08:06 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (undisclosed) was able to participate in practice Monday, Aug. 15. Wheaton has missed most of training camp because of a soft tissue injury.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will have plenty of time to get into game shape and probably will be the No. 2 receiver for the Steelers this season. Wheaton could be a No. 4 receiver in most leagues if he is able to improve on his stats from 2015.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton not sure of role

Fri, 29 Jul 2016 19:45:33 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton said he isn't sure if he will remain in the slot or will see more time on the outside with WR Martavis Bryant suspended for the 2016 season.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will have a golden opportunity to carve out a big role in the offense, especially if Sammie Coates is slow to develop. Consider Wheaton a WR4 with intriguing upside.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton confident he'll make impact

Tue, 31 May 2016 08:31:02 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton, who finished last year with 44 catches and five touchdowns, thinks he and QB Ben Roethlisberger developed enough chemistry to move forward and have a better season in 2016. "We got on the same page as the season went on," said Wheaton, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract. "We learned how to communicate with each other, more so me communicating with him and giving him what he wants. I'm learning how to just be who I need to be when it comes to what Ben wants me to be."

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Wheaton can be the No. 2 in this offense across from Antonio Brown. But Wheaton is in an explosive offense with a great quarterback and dangerous running back, so he should be plenty productive. View his as more of a midrange WR3 on draft day with upside for more.

Steelers | Pitt's No. 2 WR job up for grabs

Tue, 22 Mar 2016 11:45:06 -0700

The Pittsburgh Steelers' No. 2 wide receiver job is up for grabs between WRs Markus Wheaton, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Sammie Coates this year, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Wheaton seems like the favorite for the spot, but Tomlin also sees Coates as a potential breakout candidate in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: With Martavis Bryant suspended for the year, Wheaton's value surely rises in fantasy circles, and he could be a low-end WR2 commodity if he wins the job behind Antonio Brown. Coates is a deep threat who will have more value in standard-scoring formats. Draft him as a WR5 with upside for more.

Steelers | PIT deep at WR if Antonio Brown sits

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 20:37:47 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton might have to fill big shoes in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 17, if WR Antonio Brown (concussion) cannot play.

Fantasy Tip: Brown did not practice Wednesday, and he has not been cleared in the league's concussion protocol. While his status is in doubt for the AFC Divisional Play it might be Bryant ($6,800, 13.6% of cap), Wheaton ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) and possibly Darrius Heyward-Bey ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) stepping up and serving as solid FantasyScore options. Of course, the health of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) also makes a difference.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton scores again

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 18:32:10 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton caught a touchdown pass for the third time in four games, finishing with six catches for 62 yards in a 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has caught fire of late, posting at least 50 receiving yards in four straight games and totaling 378 yards over the stretch. He is worth considering at FantasyScore if you are looking for a way to save some cap space.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Jacoby Jones has been demoted to the backup kick returner and third-string punt returner. WR Markus Wheaton is the top kick returner and is now the backup to WR Antonio Brown as the punt returner. Jones was benched in Week 13 after fumbling twice in the first half.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton exploited matchup

Tue, 01 Dec 2015 11:13:08 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton's breakout in Week 12 was more than likely a result of the matchups the Steelers were given, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Tomlin said that Wheaton and WR Martavis Bryant had more opportunities since Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman was covering WR Antonio Brown. Tomlin also said not to make too much of Wheaton's career day.

Fantasy Tip: Essentially, Tomlin is saying don't anticipate a big end of the season from Wheaton. Of course, Wheaton is still worth a pickup if he's available in your league, but Brown and Bryant are still Pittsburgh's top-two receivers; Wheaton basically just took over Brown's role for one game.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton has career game

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 17:47:22 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton posted nine receptions for a career-best 201 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton was the beneficiary of tight covered by Richard Sherman on Antonio Brown. It opened up plenty of room for Wheaton and Martavis Bryant.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton's production declining

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 10:16:18 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton has seen his production decline after a promising 2014 season in which he had 53 catches for 644 yards. However, he has just 14 catches for 255 yards and one touchdown through nine games this year. "The middle of the field is a chemistry thing," Wheaton said. "When Ben came back, he and Heath (Miller) had been doing it for years so their chemistry hadn't gone anywhere. It's just about building it back … I was getting three, four, five catches a game (last year) and the chemistry was there. It's easier when Ben's there all 16 games and I'm there all 16 games." Wheaton has had just six targets in the last two games with QB Ben Roethlisberger back compared to 34 for WR Antonio Bryant, 19 for TE Heath Miller and 16 for WR Martavis Bryant.

Fantasy Tip: With Big Ben likely to miss Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns, Wheaton ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has even less of a chance to make some noise. The Steelers are off next week, too, so Wheaton should be left to the waiver wire for now in traditional fantasy setups.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton likely will play

Fri, 06 Nov 2015 14:44:48 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 6, and is listed as probable for the Week 9 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) should be on the field for most of the multi-receiver sets this week but has not been very productive during games this season. Owners should be able to find better options to use at the position.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton limited

Thu, 05 Nov 2015 16:21:54 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) appears to be on track to play against the Oakland Raiders, but owners should continue to monitor the situation. Wheaton has caught only one pass in four of his last five games and should be avoided even if he is active.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant, Markus Wheaton out

Wed, 04 Nov 2015 15:42:17 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Martavis Bryant (illness) and Markus Wheaton (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Fantasy Tip: It's unclear if either player is in danger of missing Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders. Assuming both play, Bryant ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) is the more acceptable daily play against an Oakland team that allows 38.3 PPR fantasy points per game to receivers. Wheaton ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has no more than three catches in any game this year and is a deep sleeper on FantasyScore.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton makes one catch count

Mon, 12 Oct 2015 22:11:51 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton has just one reception in the Week 5 game against the San Diego Chargers but it was good for a 72-yard touchdown. He was targeted three times.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) does not get enough targets to use on a regular basis, and most of the Pittsburgh Steelers are struggling to put up numbers with Michael Vick under center for the injured Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton listed as probable

Sat, 10 Oct 2015 12:51:17 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 5 against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) still has decent value this week with Martavis Bryant looking like he won't play. The Pittsburgh passing game isn't nearly as effective without Ben Roethlisberger, however, so Wheaton should be taken with a grain of salt.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton not limited Friday

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 13:39:04 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) should be able to play against the San Diego Chargers in Week 5 but could lose some of his targets to Martavis Bryant. Owners should be able to find better options to use in their lineups this week.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton a full participant

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 14:59:44 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton's ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) injury is believed to be minor, so he should be able to play in Week 5 Monday night against the San Diego Chargers. He hasn't caught more than two passes in any week since the opener (three catches) and might see even less targets with Martavis Bryant coming back. Look elsewhere on FantasyScore.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton feeling better

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 09:12:34 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) looks dramatically improved from his ankle injury and has a good chance to play in Week 5 against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) hasn't been much of a factor this season and isn't a good play on FantasyScore.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton dealing with injury

Mon, 05 Oct 2015 14:18:12 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) suffered an ankle sprain in the team's Week 4 game, but the injury is considered minor, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will receive a little extra rest since the team is not playing the San Diego Chargers until Monday, Oct. 12. Owners should monitor his practice participation during the week to see if he is in danger of missing the game. Wheaton has posted decent numbers, but owners may be able to find better options to use.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton sprains ankle

Thu, 01 Oct 2015 19:03:10 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (ankle) exited against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 with a sprained ankle.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has done very little this season, and even if the ankle injury turns out to be minor, the little value he had at FantasyScore is likely to be erased by the impending return Martavis Bryant.

Steelers | DHB, Markus Wheaton do very little

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 16:42:41 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Darrius Heyward-Bey and Markus Wheaton had little production in Week 3 against the St. Louis Rams. Heyward-Bey had three grabs for 19 yards, while Wheaton had two catches for 16 yards. Both were targeted three times.

Fantasy Tip: DHB ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) and Wheaton ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) weren't great FantasyScore options to start, but now that Le'Veon Bell is another receiving option back from suspension, and the team is without Ben Roethlisberger for a while, their fantasy appeal has lessened dramatically.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton expected to play

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 13:12:43 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (chest) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 25, and is listed as probable for the Week 3 game against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) should continue to be the team's No. 2 receiver for the time being and likely will see a solid amount of targets. Wheaton could be a solid option in fantasy leagues since he is part of one of the better offenses in the league.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton doesn't practice

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 14:15:40 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (chest) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: The extent of Wheaton's chest injury is unclear, so he'll need to be monitored heading into the weekend. He's reasonably priced at $4,200, 8.4% of cap on FantasyScore, but he only has five catches in two games so far. He's not seeing enough targets to be considered worth rostering.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton ready for breakout?

Thu, 27 Aug 2015 14:35:42 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton could be primed for a breakout season, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.

Fantasy Tip: Of course, the fact that Martavis Bryant could be suspended four games will really help Wheaton's chances of breaking out. Wheaton has played well this preseason, though. A breakout season wouldn't be surprising. View him as a low-end WR3 to high-end WR4.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton likely to start

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 05:17:58 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton is likely to start over WR Martavis Bryant, in the opinion of beat writer Ed Bouchette. The team uses three receivers a lot, and Bryant will see the field often.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant is the more valuable fantasy asset with WR3 talent. Wheaton is more in the back end of fantasy receiving corps.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton ready for breakout?

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 14:59:56 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton could be Pittsburgh's breakout player this year, according to QB Ben Roethlisberger. WR Martavis Bryant (elbow) recently underwent an elbow procedure, giving Wheaton the opportunity to prove himself as the Steelers' No. 2 wide receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has taken a backseat to Bryant this offseason, at least as far as hype is concerned. With Bryant's injury and Roethlisberger's comments, Wheaton's average draft position could see an increase. He's worth a look at least as a fifth wide receiver.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant not starting yet

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 09:05:55 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant remains behind WR Antonio Brown on the official depth chart. WR Markus Wheaton is listed as the starter opposite Brown.

Fantasy Tip: Many have speculated Bryant would overtake Wheaton opposite of Brown, but it hasn't happened yet. Bryant has WR3 fantasy value, but an elbow infection slowed him. He'll need to prove he'll have a big role in the offense before we're comfortable spending that high of a pick on him.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton has solid offseason

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 16:02:56 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton is believed to have performed the best among the wide receivers during offseason workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will compete for the No. 2 wide receiver job during training camp but should see solid playing time even if he loses the job. Wheaton could be a late-round option in most leagues with the potential be more valuable as the season goes on.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant should up snap count

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 17:40:04 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant played an average of just 29% of offensive snaps in 2014, but he is expected to serve as the primary No. 2 receiver on the outside in 2015 with WR Markus Wheaton moving to more of a slot role.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant found the end zone eight times in just 10 games, and a full season in a bigger role gives him an enormous ceiling. There is still some risk involved with taking a relatively unproven player, but he is well worth the gamble as a WR3.

Steelers | PIT has two candidates for No. 2 WR job

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 10:30:10 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Markus Wheaton and Martavis Bryant are expected to compete for the No. 2 wide receiver job during training camp. Both players performed well during offseason workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Both players should see plenty of playing time this season, so being a starting wide receiver likely will not matter much to fantasy owners. Bryant has the potential to be a starting option most weeks and could be an option in the middle rounds of drafts. Wheaton could be a late-round option in drafts

Steelers | Markus Wheaton learning slot role

Fri, 19 Jun 2015 11:49:46 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton said the slot position is not out of his comfort zone, but there are things he needs to learn that are different from playing on the outside. Wheaton said he's seeing a lot of the same defensive reads in the slot that he did on the outside.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will be the third option at wide receiver for Pittsburgh this year behind Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant. He still has a lot of progress to make before becoming valuable in the fantasy realm, so only draft him for depth at wide receiver for now.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant could start in 2015

Wed, 18 Mar 2015 13:06:56 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant is expected to push WR Markus Wheaton for the No. 2 wide receiver job during training camp, according to offensive coordinator Todd Haley. "We are looking for him to come in and make a push against Markus Wheaton for that No. 2 spot and continue give us big-time production, specifically in the red area where a big target like that can make a big impact," Haley said.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant made a big impact after he was on the active roster for games by catching eight touchdowns in 10 games. He should have a bigger role in the passing game this season and should continue to be a main target in the red zone. Owners can consider selecting Bryant in the middle rounds of drafts next season.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (illness) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 19, and is listed as probable for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has been a bit inconsistent in terms of his production and has only caught two touchdowns on the season. Wheaton only costs $3,000 on FantasyScore, but owners should be able to find a better option.
