"I've been doing better every week," said Banks, who has started the past five games at right corner, opposite Revis. "Coaches are putting me in position to succeed and I'm getting more comfortable. My whole mindset, from recognizing formations and learning from my mistakes, is improving."

Holder points out that the team restructured CB Eric Wright's contract for 2013, so it would make sense to have a veteran across from CB Darrelle Revis. This would give the team the time necessary to break in Banks slowly in 2013.

Banks is the consensus second-rated cornerback in this year's draft class behind Alabama CB Dee Milliner. Milliner is expected to go before the Bucs select at 13th overall.
