Dallas Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar (Achilles') is expected to be ready for the regular season, according to owner Jerry Jones. Escobar underwent surgery last December to repair a torn Achilles' tendon.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar will back up Jason Witten as long as Witten is healthy. He could steal a few touchdowns over the course of the season, but he can still be avoided in traditional leagues.

Dallas Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar (Achilles') is expected to begin the season on the PUP list after suffering a torn right Achilles' tendon in Week 15 last year.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar has the size (6-foot-6, 245 pounds) and hands to be a viable option in the passing game, but through his first three seasons, he's caught just 26 passes for 303 yards and seven touchdowns. At this point, he's completely off the fantasy radar given his injury and lack of past production.

Dallas Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar (Achilles') continues to rehab from a torn Achilles' tendon suffered last December. His recovery could extend into the start of the 2016 regular season, as a timeline for his return is not yet known. He might begin the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Fantasy Tip: If Escobar is unable to play in Week 1, Jason Witten would likely have James Hanna as his backup, unless the team elects to go to free agency or the draft for more depth.

Dallas Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar could see increased playing time with WR Dez Bryant (foot) out, particularly in the red zone, according to ESPNDallas.com's Todd Archer.
Fantasy Tip: Terrance Williams, Jason Witten, Cole Beasley and others, including Escobar, will have to step up with Bryant sidelined for a while. Escobar ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is still a risky play on FantasyScore as he's not guaranteed enough playing time, even if he's a red zone threat.
