Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello was reinstated from the restricted list Saturday, July 23, and then designated for assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello had a breakout year with Toronto in 2015 with a .321 average, 15 home runs and 54 RBI, but a performance-enhancing drug suspension has ruined his standing with the Jays this season, and it's unlikely he'll make noise with them again. If you were holding him in deeper formats you can cut bait now.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello will begin a 10-day rehab assignment at Class A Dunedin Wednesday, July 13.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello was 2-for-29 (.069) to begin the season, and he'll have ample rust to kick off after a lengthy suspension. Justin Smoak has a .231-9-23 line on the season, so there is room to steal at-bats at first base, but Colabello isn't worth owning just yet.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello received an 80-game suspension Friday, April 22, for testing positive for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone, which is a substance listed under Schedule II of the Controlled Substances Act.
Fantasy Tip: It is safe to drop Colabello in all seasonal leagues, as he'll likely need a rehab stint in the minors before rejoining Toronto, and there is no way of knowing if he'll even have a prominent role when he is finally able to return. Justin Smoak receives the biggest fantasy boost, but he is still best left to deep mixed and AL-only formats.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Justin Smoak is starting at first base and is hitting seventh against Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman Thursday, April 21. 1B Chris Colabello will start on the bench.
Fantasy Tip: If you're looking to save a little money on a first baseman in DFS, Smoak is worth a look. While Tillman has only allowed one home run this year, he has been known to have gopheritis in the past, and hitting the ball deep is Smoak's specialty. Tillman did allow six earned runs in 5 1/3 innings in his last start, too.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista is hitting third as the designated hitter Monday, April 18. The move shifts 1B Edwin Encarnacion from DH to first base, and 1B Chris Colabello is on the bench.
Fantasy Tip: Joey Bats and Encarnacion are daily DFS considerations against Clay Buchholz.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello was hit by a pitch Sunday, April 17, against the Boston Red Sox. Colabello sat for a few minutes on the ground before getting up and going down to first base.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello appears to be all right, but check for any side effects before you put him back into your lineup. He shouldn't miss any time, but the team could exercise some caution.
Sat, 16 Apr 2016 11:55:04 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays 1B Chris Colabello is in the starting lineup against Boston Red Sox SP David Price Saturday, April 16.
Fantasy Tip: Colabello is just 1-for-19 at the plate this year with six strikeouts and is not a recommended choice for daily fantasy lineups at this time.
