St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 29, and is listed as probable for Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers. He passed the final hurdle for his concussion tests Friday and has been cleared to play this Sunday.
Fantasy Tip: The matchup against the Niners is a tough one, but if Stacy is playing, he's at least an RB2 or flex play, assuming he isn't limited by a great deal. Benny Cunningham is a weak flex play now that Stacy is expected to suit up.

Mon, 25 Nov 2013 17:03:16 -0800
The St. Louis Rams provided no definitive update on RB Zac Stacy (concussion), who suffered a head injury in the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears. Head coach Jeff Fisher said Monday, Nov. 25, that Stacy, and CB Trumaine Johnson (head) and OG Chris Williams (head), will each be monitored this week before any determination is made on their availability for the Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers. "We have a series of things that we do today, tomorrow and Wednesday," Fisher said. "Right now everybody is doing fine."
Fantasy Tip: If Stacy is unable to go in Week 13, Benny Cunningham did a solid job replacing him Sunday, and would be the odds-on favorite to start. He will be a popular pick off the waiver wire. He is worth using as an RB3 or flex play if he indeed gets the starting nod.
Sun, 24 Nov 2013 12:32:07 -0800
The St. Louis Rams have announced that RB Zac Stacy (head) and OG Chris Williams will not return to Week 12's game after both players suffered concussions.

Fri, 08 Nov 2013 12:18:36 -0800
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is listed as probable for Week 10.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy should be started in all leagues this week because he is the team's unquestioned starter, but owners should lower exceptions because will be facing a solid Indianapolis Colts defense.
Thu, 07 Nov 2013 14:01:53 -0800
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (foot) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy expects to play versus the Indianapolis Colts and should be in your lineup as a flex, at worst, this weekend.

Wed, 06 Nov 2013 15:05:06 -0800
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy is now firmly on the fantasy football map after having a breakout performance against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. The Rams are likely resting him for the weekend, but obviously don't expect numbers like this every week. Clearly, though, he's the bell-cow back for the Rams and is a must-start as an RB2 or 3.
Sun, 03 Nov 2013 09:04:10 -0800
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) will play in the team's Week 9 game.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy likely will receive most of the carries this week and should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option for fantasy owners.
Fri, 01 Nov 2013 12:07:56 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 1, and is listed as questionable for Week 9.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will have to wait until the inactive list to see if he will be on the field for the game. Stacy should be considered a low-end starting running back or flex option if he is able to play. With Daryl Richardson and Benny Cunningham also being questionable, Isaiah Pead could have a bigger role in the offense but should not be in starting lineups this week.
Thu, 31 Oct 2013 17:40:52 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Fantasy Tip: It looks like Stacy will get another start this week because he has been practicing. He should be considered a No. 2 running back or flex option this week.
Wed, 30 Oct 2013 20:17:34 -0700
Updating a previous report, St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (foot) was on the practice field Wednesday, Oct. 30, but his work was very limited. Officially, he was listed as having not even practiced, but he did suit up and take the field.
Fantasy Tip: It was a good sign that Stacy was able to do anything, and he still has two full practice days to go until the official injury report comes out. He is sounding like he will be questionable for the upcoming week, but we'll know more Friday. If you normally rely on him for fantasy purposes, it's a good idea to start getting alternates ready just in case.
Wed, 30 Oct 2013 15:58:43 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Wed, 30 Oct 2013 15:58:08 -0700
St. Louis Rams OT Jake Long (knee), OG Harvey Dahl (knee), RB Zac Stacy (foot), RB Daryl Richardson (foot), C Scott Wells (thigh) and WR Austin Pettis (thigh) all did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 30. QB Kellen Clemens (shoulder) and S Darian Stewart (foot) both were limited. RB Benny Cunningham (ankle) fully participated in practice.
Tue, 29 Oct 2013 10:35:44 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) is dealing with a low ankle sprain.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy dodged a bullet and should be able to play in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans unless he suffers a setback in practice this week. Stacy, after a solid game against a tough Seattle Seahawks run defense, is the clear lead back in St. Louis and has become a weekly play.
Tue, 29 Oct 2013 09:32:28 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) went for X-rays after leaving the game Monday, Oct. 28.
Tue, 29 Oct 2013 09:23:21 -0700
Updating a previous report, St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ankle) sprained his ankle in the team's Week 8 game Monday, Oct. 28, and he was not on the field for the club's final drive of the night. Stacy went back on the field for the final play of the game and was split out wide instead of being used in the backfield.
Fantasy Tip: It's unclear how severe Stacy's ankle injury is at this time, so check back for updates. If he's forced to miss Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans, Daryl Richardson would likely see the majority of touches.
Mon, 28 Oct 2013 18:43:29 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (undisclosed) left the Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks in the second quarter due to an undisclosed injury. RB Daryl Richardson replaced him in the backfield.
Mon, 28 Oct 2013 16:44:23 -0700
Despite the fact St. Louis Rams RB Benny Cunningham (ankle) is inactive for the Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks Monday, Oct. 28, RB Isaiah Pead is still a healthy scratch. RB Zac Stacy will start, with RB Daryl Richardson as the backup. RB Chase Reynolds will serve as the third tailback.
Sun, 20 Oct 2013 18:46:21 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy carried 17 times for 53 yards in the Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers, and he added four receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy has 21 total touches to just four touches for Daryl Richardson, and none for any other RBs. The running back picture was somewhat unsettled earlier in the season, but Stacy is the unquestioned starter now. As such, he is a solid low-end RB2 or flex play in most fantasy leagues.
Fri, 18 Oct 2013 13:12:52 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (chest) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is listed as probable for Week 7.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy likely will be able to play this week and should be considered a flex option for most fantasy owners.
Thu, 17 Oct 2013 16:55:24 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (chest) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 17.
Wed, 16 Oct 2013 14:31:59 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (chest) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 16. It's become common for him to sit out on Wednesdays and then return to a limited practice Thursdays followed by a full practice Friday.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy is the clear-cut lead back in St. Louis now after receiving 18 carries in Week 6. Monitor his status throughout the week, but if he's playing, he's a decent flex filler in most formats.
Sun, 13 Oct 2013 08:59:21 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ribs) is active for the team's Week 6 game and is expected to start.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy likely will receive a majority of the carries during the game and should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option for owners this week.
Fri, 11 Oct 2013 16:21:18 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (ribs) looked good in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and is expected to be able to play in Week 6 against the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy is the "lead" back for the Rams for the second straight week, but Jeff Fisher will likely keep Daryl Richardson and maybe Isaiah Pead involved somehow. St. Louis' offense hasn't been consistent enough to get excited about Stacy. He's a flex play in deeper leagues.
Fri, 11 Oct 2013 13:14:12 -0700
St. Louis Rams OT Rodger Saffold (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and is questionable for Week 6. RB Zac Stacy (chest) fully practiced and is questionable. DE William Hayes (knee) did not practice and is questionable.
Wed, 09 Oct 2013 13:43:57 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (chest) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 9. Stacy missed the end of the Week 5 game with what the team was calling a rib injury, but Stacy said he felt like he had the wind knocked out of him and that he'd be fine for Week 6. "He took the day off," head coach Jeff Fisher said. "He's a little sore after that outing, but he'll be fine."
Fantasy Tip: Stacy should be fine to start against the Houston Texans this weekend. Expect him to get the majority of the workload again, and he can be seen as an RB3 or flex play.
Mon, 07 Oct 2013 15:04:41 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said RB Zac Stacy will start at running back Week 6. Fisher said Stacy earned another start with his play Week 5.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should look to acquire Stacy if he is available in their leagues because he will get at least one more start. He should be considered a No. 3 running back or a flex option for Week 6.
Sun, 06 Oct 2013 19:24:23 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy made the start in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he carried 14 times for 78 yards. He was also targeted once, but did not have any receptions. Stacy split carried with RB Daryl Richardson, who ran 13 times for just 48 yards, and he too was targeted once with no receptions.
Fantasy Tip: It appears to be a timeshare in St. Louis between Stacy and Richardson, and it appears Stacy has a little more potential. Both should only be considered as RB3s or flex plays going forward.
Sun, 06 Oct 2013 07:29:08 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy will get the start at running back in the team's Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Tip: If you can get Stacy on your roster, it may not be a bad idea. If he has a nice day, he could be an option moving forward.
Thu, 03 Oct 2013 09:33:06 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team will probably go with a committee approach at running back in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and RB Zac Stacy could receive his chance after RBs Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead and Benny Cunningham haven't been very productive. "I think Zac's done a really good job since he's been here," QB Sam Bradford said. "He's a very talented runner. He's a powerful guy. He's got great vision. He makes cuts in the hole that are quick and decisive, so I'm excited to see him out there." Stacy has only one carry for four yards on the season against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. He was inactive in Weeks 2 and 3. The rest of the team's running backs haven't been good in pass protection through four weeks, and although he hasn't proven himself in the NFL yet, Stacy had a reputation as a good pass blocker coming out of college.
Fantasy Tip: Many expect Cunningham to be the next man up in the Rams backfield, but it could easily be Stacy, as well. He's the cheaper option off the waiver wire this week. It wouldn't hurt to stash him and see how this plays out this weekend.
Wed, 02 Oct 2013 16:04:51 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher wouldn't say who would be the starting running back this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars after RB Daryl Richardson hinted that he wouldn't be starting in Week 5. The Rams are currently last in the league in rushing, averaging just over 47 yards per game. Richardson is averaging a measly 2.7 yards per carry. "We have just had one day of practice and all the backs got to participate in practice, so we've got different things for different style of runners," Fisher said.
Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately for fantasy purposes, we may not know much about the running back rotation against the Jacksonville Jaguars until the game is actually played. This makes Richardson, Isaiah Pead, Zac Stacy and Benny Cunningham all very tough to start. It may be best to stay away from the situation until we get a better feel for it.
Wed, 02 Oct 2013 13:17:28 -0700
Updating an earlier report, St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson is now saying that there will be competition for the lead back role in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Tip: This puts more uncertainty around the running back position in St. Louis. Will it be Richardson, Benny Cunningham or Zac Stacywho receives the majority of the carries in Week 5? It's really anyone's guess right now, but we wouldn't be surprised to see Cunningham take over the role, at least this week. Scoop him up if you own Richardson or are desperate for a running back with upside.
Thu, 26 Sep 2013 16:21:01 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Isaiah Pead has been declared inactive for Week 4.
Fantasy Tip: This is a bit of a surprise, as Pead was involved heavily when Daryl Richardson aggravated his foot injury after just two snaps last week. It looks like St. Louis prefers the power running style of Zac Stacy against the San Francisco 49ers. Pead's value takes a hit with this situation unfolding.
Sun, 22 Sep 2013 08:40:42 -0700
The St. Louis Rams have declared C Barrett Jones, OG Brandon Washington, DL Gerald Rivers, OT Mike Person, TE Mike McNeill, OT Rodger Saffold, RB Zac Stacy inactive for Week 3.
Sun, 15 Sep 2013 08:36:07 -0700
The St. Louis Rams have declared C Barrett Jones, OG Brandon Washington, FS Darian Stewart, DL Gerald Rivers, CB Quinton Pointer, OG Shelley Smith, RB Zac Stacy inactive for Week 2.
Tue, 10 Sep 2013 20:35:10 -0700
St. Louis Rams RBs Benny Cunningham and Chase Reynolds are in a "tie" for the fourth spot on the depth chart behind RBs Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy. Cunningham was third while Pead was serving a one-game suspension.
Tue, 10 Sep 2013 20:34:40 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday, Sept. 10, he wants to see more from RB Zac Stacy. He saw just one carry in the team's opening week win against the Arizona Cardinals.
Wed, 04 Sep 2013 09:11:30 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson is the clear-cut starter for the Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals, but it is unclear whether RBs Zac Stacy or Benny Cunningham will serve as his primary backup. RB Isaiah Pead will be out serving his suspension.
Sat, 24 Aug 2013 09:27:32 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (leg) appears healthy enough to play in the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 24, and could receive a significant amount of playing time.
Tue, 20 Aug 2013 15:51:21 -0700
St. Louis Rams RBs Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy have been impressive during the preseason, and head coach Jeff Fisher refused to indicate who would be the immediate backup behind RB Daryl Richardson. Both Cunningham and Stacy are more physical than RB Isaiah Pead, and Cunningham is effective as a punt protector and potential kick returner. Cunningham and Stacy have also shown they can catch the ball out of the backfield. Pead has already fumbled once in the preseason and will miss Week 1 for a drug suspension. Not helping his cause is the fact that he didn't gain much yardage in two games and also was indecisive as a kick returner. However, he's improved in pass protection, and the Rams are unlikely to move on from him after one season.
Fantasy Tip: Pead isn't very physical and there's a question whether he'll be able to hold up in the NFL. He's not off to a great start this year, and he shouldn't be a priority to draft as a handcuff to Richardson. That designation may ultimately fall to the rookie Stacy.
Sat, 17 Aug 2013 19:38:53 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy (leg) did not play in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 17, against the Green Bay Packers. Team and league sources described Stacy has having "general soreness," but he has been seen with his right leg wrapped at some practices this past week. Stacy and RB Benny Cunningham are in a battle for the No. 3 running back job.
Fri, 16 Aug 2013 11:42:20 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Friday, Aug. 16, that he would like to get RBs Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy some work with the first-team offense before the preseason games are finishes. "Our hope is to try and get them some carries behind the starting offensive line over the next couple of weeks to fairly evaluate them," Fisher said.
Fantasy Tip: Stacy, and especially Cunningham, remains well behind in the bid for the starting job. Stacy is worth a late-round flier for one of your final roster spots as a speculative pick. Cunningham should be avoided in all formats except for the deepest leagues which reward individual return yardage.
Tue, 06 Aug 2013 21:36:11 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday, Aug. 6, that he thinks RB Daryl Richardson "comes back as our starter." Richardson is battling RB Isaiah Pead for the starting tailback job, and RB Zac Stacy is also in the mix for the assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Richardson's average draft position (ADP) has been right around pick No. 100, and as such he might be a tremendous value for fantasy owners. If he starts to gain traction as the starter, look for his draft position to move up to the sixth or seventh round in the near future. Pead has been going around the 12th round, with Stacy going around the 14th or 15th round.
Fri, 26 Jul 2013 13:18:26 -0700
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team may have a revolving door at running back this season, headed by RB Daryl Richardson. "I've usually had a guy, but that's what the competition is about, and that's what camp's for and preseason games are for," Fisher said. "It's not going to be out of the question that we don't play two or three of them quite a bit. We may not end up with a 'bell cow' like we've had last year in (Jackson) and previous years, and just let them all play." RBs Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy will compete for touches with Richardson.
Fantasy Tip: It's early in training camp, so Fisher's tune could change regarding the running back situation if one of those three stands out. For now, Richardson should still be considered the favorite for the majority of work out of the St. Louis backfield until we hear otherwise. Draft him as a decent RB3 or 4 for now.
Tue, 16 Jul 2013 20:12:40 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson is listed as a projected starter on the team's initial depth chart heading into training camp and the preseason, followed by RBs Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy, who are listed as 'key contributors'.
Fantasy Tip: This battle is certainly not set in stone, but Richardson did show glimpses of brilliance last season behind RB Steven Jackson, who has since moved on to the Atlanta Falcons.
Thu, 04 Jul 2013 21:07:53 -0700
St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson is considered the favorite for the starting running back job because he has more experience than RBs Isaiah Pead, Zac Stacy and Terrance Ganaway.
Thu, 13 Jun 2013 13:56:37 -0700
The St. Louis Rams have signed first-round draft choice LB Alec Ogletree, third-round draft choices FS T.J. McDonald and WR Stedman Bailey, C Barrett Jones and fifth-round draft choices CB Brandon McGee and RB Zac Stacy. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
