Indians | Juan Uribe back in lineup Sunday

Sun, 26 Jun 2016 08:34:31 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe is back in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander Sunday, June 26, with INF Jose Ramirez playing second base and INF/OF Michael Martinez playing left field. 2B Jason Kipnis (illness) and OF Rajai Davis are receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe is hitting just .196 over the past four weeks and is not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon. Martinez is 6-for-13 (.462) with a home run and two RBI over the past two weeks and can be viewed as a productive source of salary cap relief in DFS.

Indians | Juan Uribe resting Saturday

Sat, 25 Jun 2016 10:29:08 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez Saturday, June 25. INF/OF Jose Ramirez will bat fifth and play the hot corner, OF Tyler Naquin will bat eighth and play center field and OF Rajai Davis will bat ninth and play left field. In addition, C Yan Gomes will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Naquin is batting .318 with five home runs and 12 RBI in 44 at-bats this month and merits serious consideration for daily fantasy lineups today, while Ramirez and Davis are also batting over .300 during June. Gomes' overall numbers for 2016 remain horrendous, although he is 7-for-14 in his career versus Sanchez and is 6-for-16 at the plate this week, making this a very favorable matchup for him in DFS.

Cleveland Indians OF Tyler Naquin is not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Jordan Zimmermann Friday, June 24. OF Rajai Davis will start in center field. INF Jose Ramirez will start in left field, while 3B Juan Uribe will start at third base and is batting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe has played well over the last seven days with a .333 average, four home runs and seven RBI. He could be a sleeper option of owners in daily fantasy leagues.

Indians | Cleveland resting two starters

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 13:57:09 -0700

Cleveland Indians C Yan Gomes and OF Rajai Davis are not in the starting lineup against Tampa Bay Rays SP Chris Archer Wednesday, June 22. C Chris Gimenez will start at catcher and is batting eighth. INF Jose Ramirez will start in left field, while 3B Juan Uribe will start at third base and is batting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Gimenez is hitting only .173 this season and should be avoided in most leagues. Uribe is hitting .412 with four home runs and seven RBI over the last seven days and should be a starting option because of his recent hot streak.

Indians | Jose Ramirez has strong stat line

Tue, 21 Jun 2016 19:27:46 -0700

Cleveland Indians INF-OF Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored Tuesday, June 21, against the Tampa Bay Rays to raise his batting average back to .292.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez tailed off a bit from June 4-14, but he has picked up the pace again. He has emerged as a solid middle infielder fantasy option in most AL-only leagues and some deeper mixed formats as well as DFS play.

Indians | Juan Uribe still absent

Fri, 17 Jun 2016 13:29:48 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe (groin) remains out of the starting lineup Friday, June 17. 3B/OF Jose Ramirez is starting at the hot corner and is batting sixth against Chicago White Sox SP Jose Quintana.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe hasn't played since he took a ground ball to his groin last Sunday, and it remains to be seen when he'll return. He's purely a corner infield depth piece in AL leagues, though, with his .217 average and two home runs on the year. Ramirez has been much more productive as a utility player for the Tribe. Despite his lack of power, he's useful in deep mixed and AL-only leagues for his positional versatility and ability to hit for average and score runs. He's also stolen seven bases on the year.

Indians | Michael Martinez starting vs. Royals

Wed, 15 Jun 2016 14:40:16 -0700

Cleveland Indians INF Michael Martinez is starting at third base and batting ninth against Kansas City Royals SP Ian Kennedy Wednesday, June 15. INF/OF Jose Ramirez and 3B Juan Uribe (groin) are not in the starting lineup Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez is the only real fantasy option, and he has 30 runs, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .292/.360/.417 slash line through 215 plate appearances this season. Uribe and Martinez are nothing more than desperation owns in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues.

Indians | Juan Uribe remains sidelined

Tue, 14 Jun 2016 13:39:46 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe (groin) remains out of the starting lineup Tuesday, June 14. 3B Jose Ramirez is at the hot corner again and is hitting fifth against Kansas City Royals SP Chris R. Young.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe took a bad-hop groundball to his groin Sunday and could remain out for a few more days. Ramirez has had a much better year (.298-3-22 with seven steals) and has been a lineup regular with Michael Brantley (shoulder) out. Ramirez should be owned in most season formats at this point and makes for a great value play in DFS against Young.

Indians | Juan Uribe sitting vs. Royals

Mon, 13 Jun 2016 13:58:24 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe (groin) is not in the starting lineup Monday, June 13. OF/INF Jose Ramirez is starting at third base and batting fifth against Kansas City Royals SP Edinson Volquez Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Uribe has just nine runs, two home runs, 13 RBI and a .217/.276/.299 slash line, which isn't enough production to consider him outside of cavernous mixed and AL-only setups. Ramirez, on the other hand, has put together a solid run at the dish this season with 30 runs, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .303/.369/.432 slash line. He doesn't offer much pop, but there is solid four-category production coming from Ramirez right now, and he's a viable option in deep mixed leagues.

Indians | Jason Kipnis, Tyler Naquin out

Sun, 12 Jun 2016 10:44:20 -0700

Cleveland Indians 2B Jason Kipnis and OF Tyler Naquin are not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP David Huff Sunday, June 12. SS Jose Ramirez will start at second base, while 3B Juan Uribe will start at third base and is batting seventh in the lineup. 2B Michael Martinez will start in center field and is batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez has been a solid fantast player for owners and should continue to be used in starting lineups. Uribe has only one hit in his last 18 at-bats and should be avoided in all leagues. Martinez is hitting .286 in limited playing time but does not have any RBI on the season, so owners should look for other options to use.
