Miami Marlins INF Miguel Rojas is batting eighth and starting at shortstop against San Diego Padres SP Odrisamer Despaigne Sunday, July 26. SS Adeiny Hechavarria is not in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Rojas ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is 5-for-6 with a double and an RBI in the past week and is hitting .320 in 25 at-bats this month. He makes an intriguing sleeper option in FantasyScore this afternoon.

Miami Marlins SS Miguel Rojas will start at third base against Philadelphia Phillies SP Cole Hamels Sunday, July 19, and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Rojas ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting only .136 since joining the Marlins and should be avoided by owners on FantasyScore.

Miami Marlins SS Miguel Rojas is starting at second base and batting eighth against Cincinnati Reds SP Johnny Cueto Sunday, July 12.
Fantasy Tip: Rojas ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) stands to receive a few additional at-bats with Dee Gordon (thumb) on the shelf. Still, at this point, Rojas is nothing more than a desperation start in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues. FantasyScore players should aim higher.

Miami Marlins 3B Derek Dietrich is not in the starting lineup Thursday, July 2. SS Miguel Rojas is starting at the hot corner and is hitting sixth against San Francisco Giants SP Matt Cain.
Fantasy Tip: Rojas ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) isn't worth your time in daily games Thursday.

Miami Marlins INF Miguel Rojas will start at third base and bat eighth against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw Saturday, June 27.
Fantasy Tip: Rojas, who played for the Dodgers in 2014, is a career .181 hitter who has not seen any action at the major league level this season. He is not available in FantasyScore today but would not be recommended as a low-cost infield option anyway, especially facing Kershaw.

The Miami Marlins acquired SS Miguel Rojas from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the trade that also included 2B Dee Gordon and SP Dan Haren.

Free-agent SS Hanley Ramirez (Dodgers) is expected to reject the Los Angeles Dodgers' $15.3 million qualifying offer and sign with another team this offseason. A long-term deal for Ramirez with the Dodgers doesn't make sense, since they already have 10 players with contracts guaranteed through at least 2017. The Dodgers will receive draft-pick compensation if Ramirez declines their offer and signs with another team. The top in-house options to replace Ramirez at the 6 are INFs Miguel Rojas and Erisbel Arruebarrena.

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled P Carlos Frias and SS Miguel Rojas from Triple-A Albuquerque and SS Erisbel Arruebarrena from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Darwin Barney is expected to share shortstop duties with INFs Miguel Rojas and Justin Turner with SS Hanley Ramirez (oblique) on the disabled list. "We will mix and match a little bit," manager Don Mattingly said. "We'll see what Darwin looks like there. I know he's played a little bit (of shortstop) in Triple-A, but I can't just sit here and say I will just use one guy all the time. It will be a little bit of mixing and matching." Rojas figures to see the most time at the 6 because of his defensive prowess. Barney has only 19 games of experience at shortstop at the major league level.
Fantasy Tip: This is probably a situation to avoid. But if you are desperate for a middle infielder in an NL-only league, Rojas is probably your best bet, because he'll see the most PT there. However, he's a defense-first player, so don't expect much from his stick.
