Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater quiet in playoff game

Sun, 10 Jan 2016 14:47:14 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater went 17-for-24 for 146 yards during the wild-card playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater threw 14 touchdowns for the second straight regular season and threw for at least 200 yards in only seven games this season. Bridgewater could improve next season but should only be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues in 2016.

NFL | Seahawks-Vikings game to be cold

Wed, 06 Jan 2016 10:03:19 -0800

The wild-card matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings Sunday, Jan. 10, is expected to see a temperature in Minneapolis at a high of 1 degree, not counting the 10-15 mph wind-chill factor. Both Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater have fared well in cold games in their careers. Wilson is 3-2 with a 66.9 completion percentage while averaging 258.4 passing yards and a 13-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Bridgewater is 6-3 with a 66.5 completion percentage while averaging 191.8 passing yards and a 12-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Fantasy Tip: You should never make a final decision on a fantasy player based on cold weather. While both quarterbacks have played well in their careers in cold temperatures, you have to like Wilson ($8,900, 17.8% of cap) much more in this one on FantasyScore, even at the higher price. Bridgewater ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) has finished the season strong but has the unenviable task of facing the Legion of Boom.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater does little in win

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 22:56:31 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 10 of his 19 pass attempts for 99 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 17 game against the Green Bay Packers. He was sacked three times while rushing for just two yards on two attempts.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater will face another difficult matchup against the visiting Seattle Seahawks next Sunday in the first-round of the playoffs. Avoid Bridgewater in FantasyScore, as even with limited options he is not a recommended play.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater improving

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 09:09:40 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has thrown six touchdowns and no interceptions in the last three games to achieve the second highest passer rating (154.4) in the league in that span when throwing 15-plus yards down the field. In comparison, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has just four touchdowns and two interceptions and has a passer rating below 100.0 in nine straight games.

Fantasy Tip: The Packers are around middle of the pack defending against quarterbacks this year and have stiffened in the last several weeks. Playing in Green Bay won't be easy for Bridgewater ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) with a division title on the line, either. Temper your expectations in this one.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater posts 168 yards, TD

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 21:34:18 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 168 yards and a touchdown with two runs for 12 yards in the Week 16 game against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater did plenty to help his real team win, but his stat line didn't help many fantasy owners to victories on Sunday despite an ultra-favorable matchup against a bad New York pass defense.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater's role won't expand

Tue, 22 Dec 2015 18:42:56 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has completed 16 of his 18 third-down pass attempts over the last two games, but head coach Mike Zimmer said he is not planning to become a pass-first offense. "We want to run the football," Zimmer said. "And we want to be efficient throwing the ball."

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) tossed four touchdowns in Week 15, but he still has just 13 passing touchdowns for the year. The Minnesota offense is going to run through Adrian Peterson ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) most weeks, so Bridgewater is no lock to produce big numbers against the New York Giants in Week 16.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater accounts for five TDs

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 13:51:21 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater went 17-for-20 for 231 yards and four touchdowns against the Chicago Bears in Week 15. He also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown on four carries during the game.

Fantasy Tip: It was the second time this season that Bridgewater threw for multiple touchdowns and set a career-high with his four touchdowns in Week 15. He will be facing the New York Giants in Week 16 and could be a sleeper option for owners since the Giants have struggled against the pass.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater encouraging in loss

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 09:12:43 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater threw for a career-high 335 passing yards in the Week 14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, Dec. 10, and he was under control for much of the game and saw the field well and beat the Cardinals blitzes.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater threw for one touchdown and had no interceptions in his best game of the season. It's encouraging for a quarterback that hadn't done much at all to speak of for his fantasy owners. However, even though it came against a top-five defense, we're not ready to say that Bridgewater is playable yet in any fantasy format.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater better in shotgun

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 12:55:22 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has been better in shotgun than under center this year. He's thrown an interception on 2.0% of his passes on plays in shotgun compared to 3.3% when he's under center. Six of his eight touchdowns this year have come out of shotgun formation. However, RB Adrian Peterson is more comfortable with Bridgewater under center, as all eight of Peterson's touchdown runs have come with Bridgewater under center. Peterson is averaging 5.3 yards per rush with Bridgewater under center compared to just 2.2 yards per rush in shotgun.

Fantasy Tip: The Vikings are a run-centric team that relies heavily on Peterson ($8,100, 16.2% of cap). Bridgewater ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) hasn't been asked to carry the team, and he's not helping fantasy owners really at all this year. With that said, it's tough to want to pay up for AD on FantasyScore Thursday night against a top-five defense. Stay away from Bridgewater, as well.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater running around often

Tue, 01 Dec 2015 14:47:14 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater entered Week 12 averaging 13.84 yards run per drop back, which is the highest figure for a quarterback in the league. After Week 13, the number increased to 14.86.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) doesn't have the best cast of receivers a quarterback could ask for, and the Vikings are leaning heavily on their ground game this year. Bridgewater also has gone over 300 yards passing just once this year. While the Seattle Seahawks are no longer the Legion of Boom on defense, nobody on FantasyScore should be chomping at the bit to use Bridgewater against them in Week 13.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater probable

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 13:53:22 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 27, and is listed as probable for the Week 12 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has been able to play despite the injury. He is coming off one of his best games of the season when he threw for 296 yards and one touchdown last week. Bridgewater may not be the best option for owners since the Falcons play well against opposing quarterbacks.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater full go

Thu, 26 Nov 2015 15:12:34 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) will play this weekend, but he doesn't have a very tasty matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. There are better options at quarterback on FantasyScore this week.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater fully practices

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 14:52:10 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has been beat up lately but should be good to go against the Atlanta Falcons. The ground game has been the focus in Minnesota this year, leaving Bridgewater as more of a game manager. He's gone over 300 yards just once this year and hasn't done much for fantasy owners to hang their hats on. That shouldn't change this week against a strong Falcons secondary. Consider Bridgewater one to avoid.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater injures shoulder

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 14:37:51 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) left the team's Week 11 game because of a shoulder injury but is expected to return to the game.

Fantasy Tip: It appears that Bridgewater suffered a minor injury and should play again in the game. He has not been a great starting option for owners this season and likely is a backup for most owners.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater probable

Fri, 20 Nov 2015 12:48:28 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 20, and is listed as probable for the Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) will be able to play despite the injury. He has not done much in the passing game over the last several weeks, so owners probably should look for other options to use.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater on the field

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 15:37:11 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has not thrown for more than 200 yards in any of his last three games. Bridgewater has a decent matchup against the Green Bay Packers this week, but owners should be able to find better options to use.

Vikings | Minnesota favors power-running game

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 09:20:31 -0800

The Minnesota Vikings have become a power-running team once again with RB Adrian Peterson back, and they include a lot of two-tight end sets. Last year they mainly had QB Teddy Bridgewater in shotgun formation in the absence of Peterson, and Bridgewater ran 64.8% of the plays out of the shotgun or pistol formation. Bridgewater has been under center in 2015 52.6% of the time and have the best rushing attack in the NFC.

Bridgewater has been more efficient both in the shotgun and under center this year than when he was a rookie in 2014, too. However, the Vikings aren't producing many big plays through the air with Bridgewater, but his ability to avoid sacks and minimize turnovers is a reason why Minnesota currently leads their division.

Fantasy Tip: The Vikings have found a winning solution so far this year, and it centers around Peterson, for obvious reasons. As a result, that has meant mostly average performances through the air for Bridgewater ($4,800, 9.6% of cap). That should continue, too, which will limit Bridgewater's fantasy ceiling and make him a weak daily play most weeks.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has full practice

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 14:58:31 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (shoulder) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Fantasy Tip: The Green Bay Packers have been mediocre versus quarterbacks this year, making Bridgewater a semi-favorable play on FantasyScore. He hasn't thrown for over 200 yards in four weeks, though, so tread carefully if considering him this week.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has been mediocre

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 13:53:44 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has thrown for under 250 yards passing in seven of his nine starts this year after going for just 140 aerial yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 10. Bridgewater had 22 passing attempts to RB Adrian Peterson's 26 carries against Oakland.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater is a midrange backup quarterback for fantasy owners. He often checks down and takes the short throws and rarely attempts to stretch the field, limiting his fantasy ceiling. He has very little appeal on FantasyScore.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater will play

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 11:52:07 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) is officially active for the Week 10 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) was cleared to play earlier in the week and will be the starter. He is a risky option because of his injury but does have a favorable matchup, so owners could consider him as a starting option.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater expected to play

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 13:58:46 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 13, and is fully expected to play in Week 10 against the Oakland Raiders, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. However, Bridgewater hasn't yet been cleared to return to action by doctors. Zimmer said he doesn't "have any doubts." Bridgewater is officially listed as questionable.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is a risk/rewart pick in daily games this weekend. Many will avoid him because he's coming off head trauma and is questionable with a late game. However, Oakland is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points (24.4) to opposing quarterbacks per week.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater full go

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 15:46:35 -0800

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) will be able to play this weekend as long as he is officially cleared. He would have a favorable matchup if he does play as the Oakland Raiders allow 325.13 passing yards per game.

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) is practicing Thursday, Nov. 12. An announcement if he's fully cleared is expected after practice.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater limited Wednesday

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 14:03:36 -0800

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater could have big game

Tue, 10 Nov 2015 23:00:52 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist, per the league's concussion protocol. If he is cleared, he would face an Oakland Raiders pass defense which ranks 32nd in the NFL by allowing 314.6 yards per game.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) would be a nice FantasyScore option at a mid-tier price if he is able to suit up, but that's a big question mark right now. If Shaun Hill ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is forced into action he could be a nice sleeper, too.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater should play

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 12:34:02 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) should be able to play in Week 10 after passing his first test in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

Fantasy Tip: The Vikings may try to use Bridgewater less in Week 10, assuming he plays, in order lessen the chance of aggravating the injury. He does have a favorable matchup against the Oakland Raiders, though, who are allowing 325 passing yards per game.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater feeling better

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 07:21:15 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) is feeling much better Monday, Nov. 9.

Fantasy Tip: He still has to complete the concussion protocol, but he's not a great fantasy option against the Oakland Raiders in Week 10.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has concussion

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 13:40:09 -0800

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) sustained a concussion during the fourth quarter of Week 9's game against the St. Louis Rams and will not return to the game. Bridgewater suffered the injury after taking a vicious hit from CB Lamarcus Joyner after he had given himself up on a slide. Joyner was penalized for the hit and is likely to be fined by the league later this week.

Fantasy Tip: If Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is unable to play in Week 10's game against the Oakland Raiders, Shaun Hill ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) will receive the start. Bridgewater finished the game 13-for-21 with 144 passing yards and one interception, along with 17 rushing yards and one touchdown. Hill was just 2-for-6 for 15 yards in relief against the Rams and would not make a great FantasyScore option for Week 10 if he receives the starting nod.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater may have concussion

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 12:46:45 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (head) is being evaluated for a concussion after suffering an apparent head injury during the fourth quarter of Week 9's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: If Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is unable to return to the game, Shaun Hill ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) will be the Vikings' quarterback for the rest of the afternoon. Bridgewater was 13-for-21 with 144 passing yards and one interception and had also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game. Check back for further updates on his status.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater struggles in win

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 14:32:01 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was incomplete on 13 of his 30 passes Sunday, Nov. 1, and he finished with just 187 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Take Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) and his struggles with a grain of salt. He won't lose his job unless there is a sudden slump. He had a 40-yard TD catch to WR Stefon Diggs late in the game, and the Vikings are 5-2. He's a safe player in FantasyScore.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has solid outing

Sun, 25 Oct 2015 13:29:05 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater went 25-for-35 for a season-high 316 passing yards in a Week 7 victory over the Detroit Lions, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Fantasy Tip: This was easily Bridgewater's ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) best game of the season, as he took advantage of a weak Detroit defense. His matchup against Chicago next week will not be as favorable, since the Bears have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards in the NFL this season.

Vikings | Big game ahead for Teddy Bridgewater?

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 17:00:03 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has a favorable matchup against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has allowed 13 touchdowns and intercepted just two passes this season.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has been fairly quiet this year, but Week 6 could be the week he breaks out. He's priced relatively low on FantasyScore and will enable owners to spend more at other positions. He's one of the better value plays this week.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has decent showing

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 19:15:40 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 27 of his 41 pass attempts for 269 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos. He also had three runs for 23 yards while losing one fumble.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) doesn't put up huge numbers, but he is steady for FantasyScore players. When the matchup is favorable he isn't a bad mid-tier QB option.

Vikings | Tough matchup for Teddy Bridgewater

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 08:38:52 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has a tough Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Denver has allowed just one passing touchdown and only 176.3 passing yards per game through the first three games of the season, which are both league-best marks.

Fantasy Tip: Given Bridgewater's ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) personal numbers (one touchdown, 505 passing yards) are even worse than what the Broncos have surrendered, it is likely best to fade Bridgewater in all fantasy formats this week. The sophomore is being deployed as more of a game manager with the offense leaning heavily on the running game, so at best, he should be viewed as nothing more than a contrarian flier for FantasyScore players in Week 4.

Vikings | Lackluster game for Teddy Bridgewater

Sun, 27 Sep 2015 19:25:39 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 13 of 24 passes for 121 yards and an interception in a 31-14 win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) is off to a slow start, and he has one touchdown and two interceptions through three games and has failed to reach 200 yards in his last two starts. With Adrian Peterson ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) rolling, they Vikings haven't need Bridgewater to do much. Bridgewater is a little overpriced at FantasyScore right now with Peterson entrenched as the focal point of the offense.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater shaky against Detroit

Wed, 16 Sep 2015 08:13:55 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 69.2% of his passes for 503 yards, one touchdown and five interceptions in two games against the Detroit Lions last season.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater had a 300-yard game in there, and his completion percentage is excellent. However at $6,800 (13.6% of cap), Teddy B isn't a good play on FantasyScore this week.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater has rough night

Mon, 14 Sep 2015 23:03:24 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 23 of his 32 pass attempts for 231 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers Monday, Sept. 14. He also ran three times for 16 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) will have much better days this season, but the offense was obviously out of sync all night. The inclusion of Adrian Peterson should help spread the field and open things up for Bridgewater, but that certainly wasn't the case in this one.

Sat, 15 Aug 2015 16:19:06 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play twice as many snaps Saturday, Aug. 15, than he played in the preseason opener, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Bridgewater is expected to run about 20 plays.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater will need some game action to get accustomed to the new weapons in the Vikings offense. As long as he stays healthy, Bridgewater's playing time should continue to increase.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater muscles up

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 22:13:42 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater added five pounds of muscle during the offseason, although the team set a weight limit for the quarterback to absorb the punishment of the NFL season without sacrificing too much of his mobility.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater came on at the end of the season. With the addition of Mike Wallace at wideout, and the return of Adrian Peterson, he'll have way more weapons at his disposal. He opens the season as a QB2 in most fantasy formats, but he could very well end up as a Top 10 option at his position by season's end.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater to continue ascent?

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 19:33:43 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is expected to continue to improve, according to head coach Mike Zimmer, who doesn't agree with the opinion of anonymous personnel guys for other teams who are expecting a step back in Year 2. "I know this kid is a great competitor. The things that he did great in college (and) he did great in the NFL (last) year, were two-minute situations, when the competitive things were there. That's not going to change," Zimmer said Monday, July 27.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater really showed progress in the second half of the season, and the addition of Mike Wallace on the outside, as well as the presence of Adrian Peterson in the backfield, will really open the field up for Bridgewater. He might not quite be a QB1 in standard fantasy formats initially, but by season's end he could have the tools to be a Top 10 fantasy option at his position.

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 19:56:56 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was rated the No. 3 quarterback in accuracy percentage and No. 1 in accuracy under pressure last season by ProFootballFocus.com.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater made major strides toward the end of his rookie year, and with new weapons in the passing game and the return of Adrian Peterson to the backfield, he could end up being a solid backup in seasonal leagues in 2015.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater improved late in '14

Tue, 07 Jul 2015 13:44:08 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was more much decisive in the Vikings' final six games of Bridgewater's 2014 rookie season, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Turner said the early part of the season was especially trying for Bridgewater, and the team as a whole, with changes at quarterback and offensive line and with RB Adrian Peterson not playing. Going into 2015, Bridgewater will have a full season of experience under his belt, he'll have Adrian Peterson back, he'll have a healthy offensive line, he'll have a healthy TE Kyle Rudolph returning and he'll have a new weapon in WR Mike Wallace.

Fantasy Tip: The future looks bright for Bridgewater and the Vikings, but Bridgewater himself has said they need to temper expectations a little bit and focus on getting better before the seasons commences. If all goes as it should for Bridgewater and Minnesota, he could end up as a top-15 fantasy quarterback.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater talks 2015 season

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 13:03:45 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater said the Vikings still have a long way to go in order to fulfill expectations. "Right now, we're not as good as what we think," Bridgewater said. "We know that the ceiling is very high and the expectation level is very high, not only for the players, but [for the coaches] also. We know what's being asked of us, but we have a long way to go."

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater had an impressive rookie campaign even without the services of Adrian Peterson. With defenses forced to more respect the threat of Minnesota's running back, it should be enable the passing game to open up more. Furthermore, Bridgewater has a solid corps of pass-catchers at his dispense, including newly acquired WR Mike Wallace, WR Charles Johnson, TE Kyle Rudolph and WR Cordarrelle Patterson. Bridgewater's ceiling is in QB15 territory.

Vikings | Adrian Peterson hoping to help QB

Sun, 14 Jun 2015 20:38:30 -0700

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he hopes his presence will make life easier for QB Teddy Bridgewater in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater finished with the best Total QBR among rookie starters last year, and the return of Peterson and addition of Mike Wallace should only help his growth. Bridgewater should be a solid mid-range QB2 in 2015, and he could venture into QB1 territory against certain matchups.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater working with new WR

Fri, 29 May 2015 16:23:22 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater said he has been spending extra time with WR Mike Wallace and working on the routes they used during practice.

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater had some solid outings in the second half of the 2014 season and is looking to improve his play. Bridgewater could be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback this season and could be a starting option against certain opponents. Wallace will be a start for the Vikings and could have more fantasy value if the team throws more deep passes. Wallace could be an option in the middle rounds of drafts.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater working with teammates

Fri, 20 Mar 2015 10:23:26 -0700

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is working out in California with Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph, RB Jerick McKinnon, WR Charles Johnson and TE Brandon Bostick. McKinnon and Rudolph are rooming together at Rudolph's Newport Beach, Calif., home and are taking a no-nonsense approach to their training. Rudolph organized the group event.

Fantasy Tip: The chemistry-building possibilities are encouraging, but any fantasy advice to be gleaned from this situation is realistically useless without knowing the fate of Vikings RB Adrian Peterson. The offense goes as he does.

Vikings | Teddy Bridgewater bulking up

Tue, 27 Jan 2015 07:07:52 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is working on bulking up this offseason. "We know where he's going to be, what he's going to be doing, in terms of lifting," offensive coordinator Norv Turner said. "He's never going to be a real big man, but he's going to be a guy that eventually is 220-225. He played most of the year about 212, so continue to work and get stronger and put on a few more pounds, and he will gradually, but that strength, I don't want people to think I'm talking about getting his arm stronger, no."

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater will be worth a flyer as a mid-to-low-tier QB2 in traditional leagues in 2015.

Vikings | OC has confidence in Teddy Bridgewater

Fri, 02 Jan 2015 16:23:45 -0800

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has the necessary arm strength to succeed in the NFL, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. "Teddy has all the key characteristics to be an upper echelon quarterback in this league," Turner said. "He really impressed me with how he played this year and how he continued to improve. He's got great vision, he's got great presence in the pocket. He doesn't get rattled, he's extremely accurate. All the things you're looking for in a quarterback."

Fantasy Tip: Bridgewater had his moments this season as the Vikings often had to pass frequently to play catch-up. Heading into 2015, Bridgewater could be a real nice surprise as a backup fantasy QB with upside, especially if Adrian Peterson returns in the backfield.
