Packers | Davante Adams healthy in 2016

Fri, 10 Feb 2017 20:58:19 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams tied for second in the NFL with 12 touchdown receptions in 2016, and QB Aaron Rodgers said Adams was able to produce because he was finally healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Adams still has the occasional drop, but he proved to be a valuable weapon for the passing attack, especially in the red zone. At worst, he should be a high-end WR3 in 2017.

Packers | Davante Adams dropped fewer passes in 2016

Mon, 30 Jan 2017 17:08:58 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams saw his drop rate go from 12.5 percent in 2015 to only 6.2 percent in 2016. He also led the team in gains of over 35 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Adams receiver a bigger role in the passing game this season because of injuries at the position and finished with 997 yards and 12 touchdowns. He probably will be the team's third receiver in 2017 and should be considered a No. 3 in most fantasy leagues.

Packers | Davante Adams relatively quiet

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 16:13:08 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) was held to three catches for 16 yards and a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 22, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Adams enjoyed a career year and will be an early draft target for gamers in 2017. While he should have a sizeable role again, be careful to not overvalue him.

Packers | Davante Adams officially active

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 10:58:18 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is officially active for the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Adams has caught 13 passes for 201 yards and one touchdown in the first two playoff games and should see a good amount of targets against the Falcons. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues this week.

Packers | Davante Adams expected to be available

Sat, 21 Jan 2017 23:11:44 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) will likely be available to play against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22, barring a setback during pre-game warmups, according to a league source.

Fantasy Tip: Adams played through an ankle injury for much of 2015, and the results weren't pretty. He said earlier in the week he wouldn't be "playing like last year," but he relies on an excellent release to compensate for less-than-ideal speed. And an ankle injury on turf isn't the most stable situation. Still, if he takes the field Adams could be a risky third receiver.

Packers | Davante Adams listed as questionable

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 13:25:15 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 20, and is listed as questionable for the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: Adams probably will be a game-time decision for the game, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation over the next few days. He will be a risky option for owners but can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he is active.

Packers | Davante Adams misses second practice

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 16:26:07 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Jan. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Despite this news, Adams is expected to suit up on Sunday and he'll be a fine WR2 option to lean on against the Falcons, especially if Jordy Nelson (ribs) remains sidelined. Through the first two postseason contests, Adams has been on a tear, hauling in 13 of 22 targets for 201 yards and a touchdown.

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 07:27:48 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is expected to play in the NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Adams had 12 catches for 74 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. He has a 23-276-4 line the last four games in what has been a breakout year. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Packers | Davante Adams was busy against ATL

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 07:22:17 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams had 12 catches for 74 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Atlanta bent a little bit against the Seattle Seahawks last week with a 10-171-1 line against WRs. Adams has a 23-276-4 line the last four games, but he is battling an ankle issue. He's a sneaky WR2 whether Jordy Nelson (ribs) is back or not.

Packers | Davante Adams' injury similar to last year's

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 18:49:38 -0800

Updating a previous story, Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) is reportedly dealing with an ankle similar to the one that hobbled him for most of the 2015 season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.

Fantasy Tip: Adams isn't even going to be allowed to practice until at least Saturday, so there's certainly reason for concern. With Jordy Nelson unlikely to play and Adams trending in that direction, Aaron Rodgers may not have enough weapons to go toe-to-toe with the Atlanta Falcons' high-scoring offense. Randall Cobb and Jared Cook are shaping up as solid, high-floor DFS plays this weekend.
