Jaguars | Allen Robinson had surgery

Wed, 13 Sep 2017 13:50:31 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (knee) underwent surgery this week to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament. Robinson is on the Reserve/Injured list and will not play again this season.

Fantasy Tip: The Jaguars are in an unenviable position in the passing game. Marqise Lee takes over No. 1 receiver duties with Allen Hurns starting opposite him. Lee and Hurns are flex considerations, but temper expectations for both receivers.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson placed on IR

Tue, 12 Sep 2017 11:09:51 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 12. New Orleans Saints WR Max McCaffrey was signed off the Saints' practice squad to the Jaguars' active roster in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Losing Robinson is a huge blow to the Jacksonville's offense. They'll continue to rely on Leonard Fournette, but Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns will need to step up. Both players are worth adding from waivers, but Lee has more value, particularly in PPR formats.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson done

Mon, 11 Sep 2017 07:40:10 -0700

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (knee) is lost for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He'll have surgery in the coming days.

Fantasy Tip: Allen Hurns becomes one to target on waivers. He led the team with three catches for 42 yards in Week 1, and he and Marqise Lee (who was shut out in Week 1), receive boosts in fantasy. The struggling quarterback play will make it tough for them to consistent flex options. They're WR4 options that could be WR3 options in good matchups.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson might have torn ACL

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 17:23:59 -0700

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (knee) is feared to have torn his anterior cruciate ligament in Week 1 against the Houston Texans, based on initial reports Sunday, Sept. 10, source said.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to confirm the diagnosis, but it's certainly bad news for the fantasy appeal of Blake Bortles. It's good news for the likes of Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns, as well as Leonard Fournette in the rush game.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson is probably dealing with a serious injury he is has already been ruled out of the game. Owners will know more about the situation in the next day or two. Thu, 17 Aug 2017 20:45:23 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson caught five passes for 40 yards in the preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson had a disappointing 2016 season but was still able to post 883 yards and six touchdowns. He will continue to be the Jaguars' No. 1 receiver and should see a solid amount of targets. Robinson probably can be considered a No. 2 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Jaguars | New deal coming for Allen Robinson?

Tue, 25 Jul 2017 16:17:25 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson's agent has been talking to the Jaguars about a possible new deal.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson is easily Jacksonville's best wide receiver, but he's coming off somewhat of a disappointing season. When Bortles is accurate and Robinson is on, he's one of the best deep threats in the league. Standard leagues suit him best, whether it's as a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson struggled near end zone

Thu, 13 Jul 2017 14:07:42 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson caught just four of his ten targets inside the 10 yard line last season. Fortunately, all four of those catches were touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson is the Jaguars' best threat close to the end zone. He was tied for fourth in the NFL in targets inside the 10 yard line; he simply didn't capitalize on the opportunities. Plus, he has somewhat of an errant quarterback in Blake Bortles. Despite a disappointing 2016 campaign, Robinson remains a solid low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 consideration, although he's a more sensible selection in standard formats.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson ready for extension

Sun, 16 Apr 2017 17:31:39 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson said he has "earned" a contract extension but won't let talk of a new contract impact his performance. "If we get something done, we do and if not, I have a big year coming ahead for me and I have an obligation to my teammates to play at a high level," Robinson said.

Fantasy Tip: After a dominant 2015 season, Robinson was one of the biggest disappointments for fantasy owners last year. He still managed WR3 production, and he will be one of the top bounce-back candidates heading into 2017.
