Titans | Bishop Sankey fighting for his job?

Sat, 12 Mar 2016 17:47:47 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey will have to prove himself this offseason if he wants to remain with the team, according to beat writer Jim Wyatt.

Fantasy Tip: Tennessee's backfield is suddenly crowded with the addition of DeMarco Murray, and even if Sankey manages to hang on to a roster spot, he isn't going to be much of a fantasy asset.

Titans | Bishop Sankey receives praise

Tue, 29 Dec 2015 09:14:34 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey received some praise from the coaching staff after the Week 16 loss. He led all Titans running backs with 30 snaps, although he ran just twice for seven yards and added three catches for a career-high 43 yards. Sankey had just two carries the previous nine weeks, and head coach Mike Mularkey said Sankey will continue to see more time in Week 17. Mularkey also feels that RB David Cobb is improving, but Cobb had only seven carries for 18 yards against the Houston Texans. RB Antonio Andrews lost an early fumble, and Mularkey didn't seem to have much enthusiasm for him.

Fantasy Tip: For the season finale against the Indianapolis Colts, it sounds as if Sankey ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Cobb ($2,000) will be the most involved, with Andrews ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) being sprinkled in. Sankey or Cobb could be worth a desperation play in a flex spot on FantasyScore if you're feeling lucky.

Titans | Bishop Sankey to be involved

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 12:14:45 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey will be involved in some personnel groupings in Week 15 against the New England Patriots, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Sankey ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) last received a carry on Nov. 15 when he had just two runs for seven yards. Sure Sankey could see more action this weekend, but it'll likely not be enough to consider him in any fantasy format.

Titans | More time for Bishop Sankey, David Cobb

Mon, 23 Nov 2015 10:09:07 -0800

Tennessee Titans RBs Bishop Sankey and David Cobb should receive more playing time with RB Dexter McCluster (knee) sidelined for a few weeks, according to interim head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb may receive more of a chance since he has played in the last few games with Sankey not being used in the last few games. Antonio Andrews should still receive a majority of the carries and may be the only running back worth starting in fantasy leagues.

Titans | Bishop Sankey might be inactive

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 22:52:37 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey might be inactive in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers following the activation of RB David Cobb (calf) from the Reserve/Injured Designated to Return list, head coach Mike Mularkey indicated Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Sankey was a second-round pick in 2014, but it is looking more and more like he isn't going to be in the team's immediate plans. David Cobb ($3,700, 7.4% of cap), Antonio Andrews ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) and Dexter McCluster ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) are each ahead of Sankey on the depth chart.

Titans | David Cobb's workload unknown

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 15:49:14 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) was activated from the short-term Reserve/Injured list this week, but interim head coach Mike Mularkey is unsure how much Cobb might play moving forward. Cobb has battled weight issues recently, but he said that he's down to 225 pounds. With Cobb back on the roster, Mularkey left open the possibility that RB Bishop Sankey could be inactive in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: The Panthers have a stingy defensive front against running backs, so this certainly isn't the matchup to play Cobb ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) in, especially since his touches will likely be limited. Remember that it's his rookie season, too, so it may prove tough for him to get it going for fantasy owners, but he's certainly worth stashing in traditional fantasy leagues.

Titans | Bishop Sankey doesn't play

Mon, 09 Nov 2015 07:32:01 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey didn't play any offensive snaps Sunday, Nov. 8, in Week 9. RB Antonio Andrews played 45 snaps, and RB Dexter McCluster played 29 snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Sankey can be dropped in all but dynasty formats right now with Antonio Andrews clearly the leader of the backfield.

Titans | Bishop Sankey losing playing time

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 13:55:00 -0800

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey did not get a carry for the second week in a row and fumbled a kickoff return during his team's 20-6 loss to the Houston Texans. He was replaced on returns by RB Dexter McCluster.

Fantasy Tip: Sankey ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) had a promising start to his career in the NFL but it has since become mired in mistakes. As of now, he has little FantasyScore value until his role changes.
